In my experience though, running Golbat Machamp, I just think Machamp isn't that good. If you get opening Golbat vs Mewtwo you win a matchup that you otherwise can't really beat, but RNG doesn't give you what you want, and the reality is that if you curve out into Machamp perfectly going first, you're still only at 2 energy, and Machamp is so hungry that you can't really afford to run dual colors (unless colorless), but I think as good as Golbat is in theory, the weakness of the deck is actually that Machamp isn't good.

Mewtwo ex could function as a bulky attacker you use to swing for 50 a couple of times before you retreat him, buying you more time to assemble a Greninja or two.
