I have incredibly shitty luck so it takes me days or even weeks to find shinies in the newer games. I probably won't find the shiny Girafarig I've been looking for before the end of this event.

That's why for me it's only full odds gen 5 or earlier (no methods). Getting something to shine in the new games will never feel like it did in the golden era

Increasing the shiny odds killed the franchise for me and I have no idea what they were thinking.
