>>57095365Unless they know how to RNG abuse, I'd imagine most people's shinies are from Pokemon Go or from Gen 8/9 since shinies are so much easier to find nowadays. Sure there were methods like Pokeradar in Gen 4/6, DexNav and Chain Fishing in Gen 6, SOS battles and Ultra Wormholes in Gen 7, etc., but shiny has basically been getting easier and easier.

>>57095427They're not "easier" to find, you're just encountering x15 more than in anything Gen 8 or below, excluding Arceus (as it generates all pokémon on entering a particular map and doesn't despawn them unless caught or defeated). And even then, RNG is still RNG, I've reset countless sandwiches because it didn't spit up any shiny, much less an outbreak or isolated target hunt shiny and still have wasted more time than what's healthy looking for the things, even with the 15 on-screen, the shiny visible in the overworld and picnic resets refreshing everything at once.>third day of date resetting to the Girafarig and Farigiraf outbreaks I found a couple days ago for intelligent mark Girafarig and any funky marked Farigiraf
>>57095458Not gonna lie, assuming outbreaks continue to be a thing and shiny farming continues to be possible through them, I'm gonna likely end up replacing any and all GO shinies with in-game hunted ones. Think I ended up hunting shinies of everything in Paldea that could be hunted even if I had a GO version, due to them not connecting Home to SV immediately.
