Those are just myths.I remember an old theory from a Japanese blog that Arceus worshippers basically flooded into ancient Sinnoh and killed Regigigas worshippers in a holy war, and that’s where the “defeated giants” myth comes from and why Regigigas is sealed at the bottom of a temple largely unconnected to the rest of the region’s culture. The idea was that they also stole the Greek-themed architecture of the Regifags and used it to make temples to Arceus like Spear Pillar and Sinjoh.
