It really put it into perspective to me after I played Cuckguard, that a lot of these games that have these "QoL" features that completely remove the need to interact with several mechanics are inherently a mark of someone who fundamentally does not like Pokemon and does not understand what makes a good game, they do not want to interact or engage with the game and they have no idea how to keep the player engaged, it's akin to some arguments I've seen on /v/ that people far too often focus on what's "cool" (to the creator of the game) rather than what actually matters, which is fun and this is so evident in these games, it shows a complete lack of understanding of the medium.
