>>57118924The real problem lately is that gens I-IV would take one small part of a country and turn it into something spectacular, while the newer gens take a whole entire country and make it as bland and generic as humanly possible. If Kalos were literally just the northwestern tip of France, Brittany, it would be better than it was. Unova was unironically a good portrayal of NYC despite the fact I didn't really like GenV that much overall. Alola was also a pretty good thing. They both portray individual US states. Orre was pretty good too. Galar, Paldea, and Kalos were like the worst regions in pokemon history, even though I kinda liked X/Y. >>57120434Ideally the next region should be the northern half of Sakhalin Oblast in Russia that hasn't been used already on Sinnoh.
