What is Pokémon Sleep?
Pokémon Sleep is a sleep tracking app that utilizes your smartphone and/or the Pokémon Go Plus + device to record data as you sleep. In doing so, you'll be able to meet a variety of Pokémon and fill out your Sleep Style Dex.

Be sure to post your Research ID so that you can add and share candy with fellow Anons. We are currently locked at 50 friends.

FAQ:
>How do Shinies work?
If you encounter a shiny Pokémon, you only need to feed it a single Poké Biscuit to befriend it.
>What should I spend my diamonds on?
Expanding your ingredient pockets, item pockets and Pokémon box. Long term you’ll want to max out ingredient pockets, only get half of max for items and max 100 for Pokémon.
>When should I use my items?
When you have a good grasp of the game mechanics. You may want to save up Recovery Incenses for event missions.
>What should I spend my sleep points on?
Poké Biscuits first or if you’re a premium user: Main and Subskill seeds and Great Biscuits.
>Can I play this game if there's a lot of noise where I sleep?
The game tracks sleep based on motion only; sound has no impact.
>A Pokémon I fed got full! Will I have to start from scratch the next time I find one?
Nope! Pokémon retain the level of progress they were at the last time you fed them.
>How do dream clusters work?
The higher your research rank, the more you get. You may want to hold onto them as long as possible.

This two week-long event is a special time when Pokémon who arrived in Pokémon Sleep in 2024 are more likely to appear.

During this event, certain Pokémon—such as Dratini and Aron—will appear on Greengrass Isle!

Also, the Event Exchange—where you can trade Dream Coins—for various items will be available.

Additionally, you’ll be able to use the Candy Cram-o-matic function during the second week of the event!

We plan to have different bonuses and Pokémon with greater appearance rates for the first and second week of this event.

It’s easy to let our sleep become inconsistent this time of year, so we hope you and your helper Pokémon can start off your year with good, consistent sleep!
We hope you’re looking forward to the event!

Event Period:
• Week 1: Monday, December 30, at 4:00 a.m. to Monday, January 6, at 3:59 a.m.
• Week 2: Monday, January 6, at 4:00 a.m. to Monday, January 13, at 3:59 a.m.

• Certain Pokémon will be more likely to appear during sleep research.
• The limited-time Event Exchange will be available.

Need two friends, I'm not anal about activity (just login at least once a week). I didn't remove anyone recently, they removed me for whatever reason. Name is sleep_pro just so nobody wastes time trying to add me. Also, if I ever turned your friend request down in the past, it was only because I had already filled back up.

Well damn. Glad I've been saving tickets
>>
Honestly not even sure where to go for this two week event. I need a few from Lapis and OGPP, but would it be a waste? Or a good thing, since getting points is a bit easier?
>>
>>57142556
The Snorlax Power buffs for both weeks are very slight. You might hardly even notice it at the end of the week since most bonus values are halved from what they've been in their previously standalone events. +25% skill trigger rate on the first week and +25% dish strength on the second really isn't that much, considering all of the other methods of accumulating power you use throughout a week.

First week will probably be best to go to Lapis to get some candies if not the boosted appearance rate of Dratini, Ralts, and Stufful.

Second week is probably Power Plant, though since there are boosts to Pokemon lines outside of the island exclusives, Greengrass doesn't actually look awful either. If you're looking to catch stuff, Greengrass is limited to first-stages, which is actually a benefit in this situation.

And another shiny.... I'll be forever cursed to only find these towards the end of the year. It's the Mankey. It's worse than the big monkey I already got though.
>>
>>57142975
i am also leaning towards lapis -> ogpp. though i wish pawmot line was boosted one of the weeks too
>>
Also bundles.
Skill Seed pack costs seem quite high, though they are a rarity for a reason. The other stuff in the packs don't seem like they would be super enticing after factoring in the cost of the seeds. I have almost 4k diamonds sitting around from daily/weekly rewards, but I won't buy anything aside from the S bundles that have a decent value of biscuits.
Mind you that the real converted cost of 2,000 diamonds is about... $35? 5,000 diamonds about $80 if not $100.
>>
>>57143439
isnt it boosted to appear this week in GI? I guess SB thought that would be enough.
>>
>>57142975
That's what I was thinking too, but the GG for early stages makes it tempting as well.
>>
>>57144126
When bundles have seeds it’s usually a minimum of the 3k bundle so I’m happy I can get one for less
>>
>>57144126
The 2k one is tempting for the seeds and incense. It's a lot to spend though
>>
>>57144126
Forgot the second set. No seeds in these. Mostly Pokemon incenses.

>>57144913
Main Skill Seeds are also being added to the standard Sleep Point Exchange com next year as well.
>>
>>57144928
Honestly, V2L would be even better, I think.

>>57146557
Worse than Gardevoir but better than the other two E4E users. But he has the advantage of being Elec type, meaning extra power in OGPP and synergy with Raikou teams.
>>
>>57146586
Pawmot's skill trigger rate is lower than Wigglytuff's, but due to much greater helping frequency ends up triggering more often per day.

Though honestly despite being last place in E4E users, Wigglytuff still does an excellent job.
I have a perfect one that I take everywhere, but I'd love to get an ideal Gardevoir or Pawmot for those LL / OGPP synergies, or passive ingredient diversity shifts.
>>
>>57146557
Better because Pawmi is a cool line.
>>
>>57146542
I think with the change to Umbreon's skill, it might actually be best to go BFS AND Skill Trigger to try and force an incidental healer through sheer force. Its gathering capabilities are still poor, so that might be the best route.

>>57146586
Really all things considered, they're all relatively the same in terms of activations per day. The major difference is Pawmot has much better ingredient gathering capabilities.

Apparently Alolan Ninetales is a bit better than regular Ninetales in terms of raw power. Even discounting the skills, while their overall berry power is about equal, the Alolan version gets ahead by picking up more ingredients.

>>
Regular crits are a rare but nice bonus, Sunday crits being so strong but just rare enough to make me feel bad for missing them is annoying
>>
>>57150362
let's see for how long i'll sleep today
>>
>>57152787
Doing likewise, plus I'm pretty sure my previous Suicune encounter topped out at 29/30 friendship points.

Base dream shard payouts for Suicune are 4,844, 12,084, and 27,414.
Getting 3 star sleep with a 165k dream shard payout would be handsome, I spent at least 900k on candy boost this week.
>>
>>57153765
Raikou actually has a higher 3* payout at 29K. Also I could have sworn the minimum point requirements were lower. Or maybe I was just spoiled by the events giving us 2x Drowsy Power on the final days.
>>
This game was pretty boring for like the first 6 weeks but once you get the hang of it it's pretty addicting to check in all the time.

Also I switched from using apple watch data to using the in game sleep data I didn't realize how much easier it is to game a better sleep score lol.
>>
Where are you planning to go for the New Year Event? I was thinking of doing Cyan/Taupe since those are the best places for me to farm Dream Coins and get the most from the shop. I already have most of the Pokemon I want from the rate-up, but OGPP has too many of them so I doubt it would make much of a difference there anyway.
>>
>>57154079

Lapis, since I still want a good Dragonite, and Spriggy.
>>
>>57154079
No idea. Might be back to the recent island unless I get a good pawmi tonight.
>>
>>57154079

>>
>>57154079
Lapis for Dratini and Ralts week one, and OGPP for week two.
>>
>>57153939
Suicune incense is all I had anyway.

>>57154079
Week 1 at Lapis Lakeside and week 2 at Old Gold Power Plant, since the event details favor spawns for each given week.

I have a really strong LL team now that I should be able to hit huge numbers and get a lot of shots at the Ralts or Dratini I want.
Cooking bonuses at week 2 OGPP should help with my strong team but low area bonus there. I need a good Shinx or Steelix.

Went Lapis. Next week, probably Power Plant.
Basically everything is for the boosted spawns. First week you also get 1.5x Pokemon Candies, while next week will be 1.5x Dream Shards.

This week, the only thing you really miss on Lapis are Vulpixes.
Next week though is a bit of a shit show since there are both the initial Power Plant species, Drifloon, Wooper, AND all of the Paldea starters. It's also possible you may also want to go to Greengrass for that week since only the first stages spawn there.

Worst of all was that the Suicune's subskill spread was amazing, but the nature was Naughty.

This is going alongside my Raikou in the mint waiting listing.
>>
>>57157553
I mean, that's head and shoulders above anything regardless of the negative nature. You basically have a neutral nature with Helping Speed M and Skill Trigger S instead of Skill Trigger M.
>>
>>57157598
Over baseline, it only triggers marginally more than usual, but the BFS does a lot to add to its individual contributions (favorite berries aren't on).

I have a pretty good line up of water types for a Suicune team including BFS Feraligatr, Blastoise, and Quagsire, supported by a Wigglytuff, I'll do a proper analysis of that and see how it fares compared to one with a beneficial nature.

Yeah your progress has no bearing on what other players can get from you. Well, technically it does, like what species you encounter/send out candies of each day, but what's actually important is just how long you've been friends.
Besides the friendship level landmarks, at max level you get increased chances at 2x community research candies and higher chances for 2x event currencies (like the coins right now).

Since you already have a fully-build and seeded Wiggly, just keep using it. As long as you are ending the day at full energy it doesn't really matter who you use.

Look at this comparison between your Wigglytuff and a "near-perfect" Gardevoir. It all amounts to a measly total of 7 extra berries per day from the berry mons. Not worth all the dream shards and seeds you would have to spend.
I would only consider a change if I were to get the God roll of a Ralts with Skill M + Help Speed M + Helping Bonus + Skill nature. And even that would be a questionable investment unless it is also a shiny.
>>
Will I eventually have to learn the cooking/recipe system if I want to make meaningful progress in the game or can I just keep doing auto cook? I hate cooking shit in games.
>>
>>57162561
you can easily find the list of dishes to be made by googling, and try to make everything at least once to get the 20 diamond reward for each new recipe you make, but then you can just go back to auto cooking. I never manually input anything.
>>
>>57162561
As long as you make a recipe once, you can automatically make it again by just pressing a button (so long as you have the required ingredients). But making actual dishes is probably the easiest way to get Snorlax Power.
>>
I wouldn't mind if both these I caught today swapped skills and natures...

Regular exchange main skill seed price revealed.
It's 3600 sleep points. Double what it costs in the premium exchange.
>>

>3600
Unless they intend to buff sleep point gains in some way, nobody is going to buy this. Even with premium that's ridiculous.
>>
>>57163833
It furthers the problem that skill specialists heavily rely on items to be worth using, whilst berry and ingredient specialists only need to level up to upgrade.
>>
>>57163798
Actually insane. That's literally a full month of f2p. I guess you could reach a point where you don't need more Poke biscuits?

with semi regular new pokemon, shit like single stagers, and the chance of getting a good pokemon being low, as a f2p i dont see myself running out of a need for biscuits any time soon

i don’t see myself getting seeds from the shop unless i get a bunch of god tier e4e pokemon or something
>>
>>57164570
Even then, E4E users only need 3 seeds (4 for Sylveon, or befriended Jigglypuff).

Single stagers like Dedenne or the legendary beasts need up to 5 main skill seeds. Potentially more if main skill level caps increase (though I don't see much benefit of taking E4E beyond level 6).
>>
>>57164813
i forsee my future main skill use being on you one of each e4e pokemon, getting a good single stage skill pokemon is rather unlikely. and in the beasts case, rather for niche occasions. i could have a perfect entei and main skill that, but when am i going to use it?
>>
>>57163798
As predicted. I guess it won't be different if other items were to be added to the regular shop that were previously premium exclusive.
>>
I already have a max trigger Gardevoir, but surely this lil guy is good enough to fit on a Raikou overstack team right?

>>
>>57165488
Max speed really doesn't do you much good versus just Skill Trigger M. If anything, BFS or Ingredient Finder might actually help a Raikou team even more since it doesn't care about help speed.
>>
How do I get more friends? I added all you niggas but there's like 15 of you at best. Do I have to go to leddit to max out?

I refuse to believe that this isnt a good ralts. The rating calculator website is giving this a 70-87 depending if i set it to ralts or gardevoir. It doesnt have a main skill up ability, but other than that it's perfect right???
>>
>>57167281
why would it be perfect?
>energy recovery bonus
only works for sleeping sessions
>ingredient finder s
lol
>neutral nature
>skill level up M
the perfect ralts more or less looks like this
>Skill Trigger M
>Skill Trigger S
>Helping Bonus
>Helping Speed M
>BFS
>Careful (Skill Trigger Up, Ingredient Finding Down)
>ABC ingredient spread
it is the most maxed it can be. The order of the last 3 skills is debatable, especially if it is preferable to have Helping Speed M before Helping Bonus.
>>
>>57167322
adding to that because i forgot:
since Main Skill Seeds are available for purchase in the regular shop, Skill Level Up S/M is basically just a holdover skill until you get a god roll.
On top of that, all skill specialists want exactly this as i described with the exception of the ingredient spread. Some might want an ingredient spread that just gives them the least possible ingredients since their inventory is pretty limited (single stagers are the most obvious victim to this). However, inventory is less of an issue thanks to the badges. On top of that, there are only niche uses for Skill specialists that aren't healers or the beasts IMO so it's unlikely anyone not in the know will use them. This is more or less also an idle too; skill specialists make you check the game more frequently anyway so inventory is not necessarily something to consider here.
>>
>>57167322
>>57167343
Obviously not happy with the fact i have to wait even longer for a ralts, but i really appreciate your detailed answer even if it isnt want i hoped to hear. Im going to screenshot this for future reference, thanks anon
>>
>>57167385
this is decent enough as a holdover but dont overinvest in it.
>>
>>57167281
It's just decent and usable, but not top tier. The main things holding it back are lack of a decent nature and third supporting skill. Skill Level Up M and Skill Trigger M are great to have, but it would also want Helping Speed S, M, and/or a speed or skill up nature.

>>57167322
Inventory Up is technically preferred to BFS for skill trigger maxing.
BFS makes a skill specialist hit carry limit faster, and therefore trigger less often especially during sleep tracking. It reduces the likelihood of having a double trigger ready on waking.

Careful nature with ABC ingredient spread as you say also works for skill trigger maxing because this slows down hitting carry limit.
>>
>>57168647
then i also said skill specialists also demand you to open the game so inventory is of no concern anyway.
When talking E4E, Sylveon has the lowest inventory capacity at 15. If you take the subskill spread as laid out, you'll have the 2k sleep ribbon by then (unless you really, really really paypig hard for that not to be the case). That makes it an inventory size of 23. That's decent enough for you to only check every... like 2,5h even on BFS. That is why i say maxed. There is no such thing as min-max but if that is easier to explain why i used BFS over Inv L, then so be it.
>>
>>57165502
Now I can add a Quaxly to the list of 2025.
>>
>>57169164
15 is just Sylveon's base, as if you caught it as Sylveon. So that also doesn't count the +5 inventory from evolution, meaning you generally have an upper limit of 28, which is plenty.

I find myself wondering why I'm actually bothering to catch more Dratini and Ralts. I already have a level 60 Dragonite, but MAYBE I can get one to use to gather Corn? My Gardevoir is level 60 too, but I guess I can get a male BFS one to turn into a Gallade? Seems like a missed opportunity to pass one them, but the chances of me using either are much smaller than they were initially.
>>
>>57173122
if your dragonite isn't bfs, the assumed next island being dragon berries would make that very worth to have

BFS Gengar can actually get about 80% of the berries as a BFS Banette despite gathering 2 berries per help vs 3. Wish the Mimikyu I got was actually usable though, because a good one should be insane on any island.
>>
>>57177313
Yeah, Gengar is able to deliver a superb amount of strength thanks to that.
At OGPP, all the mushrooms and herbs it gathers are usually just dish filler, but it's all strong filler.

Three weeks of Good Camp Ticket is really putting a toll on my ingredient usage though. I'm just barely getting enough ingredients to make "Calm Mind" Fruit Salad each meal, and then having to use up all my Victreebel's tomatoes and potatoes as filler rather than saving them for Greengrass Salads. 104 ingredients per meal is taxing, and that's going to get worse tomorrow, I'm actually running low on ingredient tickets for a change.
Flipside, it's Saturday morning and I'm at Master 12 (2.4m) at Lapis Lakeside.
