This metagame is great. It's wide open with lots of innovation. Gyrados was needed to contain Mewtwo with slab. I really do think they've done an amazing job with card design. You're very unlikely to get banned for using a macro, especially if that macro is doing something that a human could do, at human speeds.The only instance I've ever even heard of where people got banned for macros is in Nikke, because apparently people were macroing guns to shoot faster than was humanly possible, allowing you to do more damage than you were "supposed" to be able to do. The coolest part about the Gyarados deck is that it's a brew that functions like a real deck. All of the other meta decks are basically just Expert CPU decks, meaning they were intentionally designed to be played together. "Cookie cutter", you could say. Boring, plain jane, cookie cutter decks taht the devs intended.Gyarados though is a jank brew deck that just works™. This is why it's the coolest deck in the format. It has so much more personality than Pikachu or Mewtwo or Celebi or whatever because it's the only meta deck that isn't just an Expert CPU deck. I wonder how many more of these type of decks are lurking inside of the cards for us still to find.
