In the original Black/White, you can only get the rusefoxes by triggering one of two special events, and one of the events doesn't even use the ratio— the Zoroark you encounter is always female. So I don't get why it isn't at least 50/50.To be honest, I think pretty much every Pokémon that has the 7:1 ratio should have it retconned to be 1:1, besides the ones that actually make sense like Salandit and Combee. Who cares if the player can get multiple of their starter before the postgame, especially when Wonder Trading exists and the newer games keep letting you catch Ditto earlier and earlier? I don't think anyone would complain about such a change, and it'd quell all of the shitposting about it.

I stand by the point on male-only species not having plausible means of existing if reproduction actually worked by the game rules. Sawk and Throh in Unova are the prime examples of mons that have no obvious means of existing on their own. Latias and Latios, particularly being sibling species like the Nidorans, also fills in these blanks despite their lack of egg groups (which is a deliberate choice to limit Legendary availability in game).
