Man, the MI Mewtwo deck is so fucking good. My only loss so far has been to a guy who got 1 heads with Misty and then the next turn he got 8 heads with Misty again. Even when I completely brick, the deck is able to find its pieces so well, and when pieces of your Gardevoir engine are literally on the bottom of your deck, you can sacrifice them to stall for long enough to slow build Mewtwo or Mew. It's so much better than the GA version it's crazy. It's not the most exciting deck, but it is the one that feels most like a well oiled machine.

>>57175007Personally I find it fun because I'm playing a deck nobody else is using and still getting wins against meta decks reliably enough. While the deck may seem like 'just hope get stage 3" the low attack and retreat cost of beedrill is an important part of the strategy. Since I only have weedle and bulbasaur I have to becareful to retreat and attack at the proper times. If I get sloppy with where I place energy or retreat at the wrong time and give up a point too early I won't have the wiggle room to even get to stage 3. I just had a game vs Hitmonlee + Marshadow where I was juggling my bench full of weedles and bulbasaurs around to keep them from getting knocked out and only won cause I placed a 20 HP weedle onto the active spot to keep it from being sniped. Bulbasaur is my favorite and so I found a way to play venusaur without relying on the meta deck that everybody else is using. The cards themselves may not have a lot of flashy effects but that doesn't mean playing them right isn't engaging. I'm having fun, using my favs, and relying on strategies I made myself without having to ape the meta to win. So I'm pretty happy.
