Couple more items being added to the event shop for new years week 2, cheaper biscuits and handy candies.
>>57182987Wonder how much of the shop I'll be able to clear out. So far I've only gotten around... 600-ish points. Got the seed, so all I really care about are the biscuits and the friend incense.
wait, is this general dead already??
>>57182890Did i just saw Death?
Man I hate salads.
I'm so fucking close...
>>57183305After the seed, if I can just get all the biscuits I'll be a happy man.
Do I keep the coins going into next week? Or do I have to spend the week one coins before today ends?
>>57184095The event is technically 2 weeks long, just split into 2 halves. So you'll keep all your event mission progress and can continue it on the next week if you haven't finished them already. And the coins carry over through next week and usually at least a couple days afterward to make your final exchanges.
>0/3 sunday crits>for like the 6th week in a row
>>57184754At least you have next week where they'll be worth 1.25x. WOOOOOOW
I want to go to OGPP for the spawns, but my team is too bad and area bonus is 10 or 15%. Lapis will now be 75% so I'll just stay there.
>>57184754You know what to do.
>>57185304Well, there aren't really any boosted spawn on Lapis next week aside from the cat and duck. If you actually want boosted spawns, you'll probably be better off going to Greengrass. Next week is 1.5x Dream Shards, 1.25x Recipes, and Cram-o-matic.I'm low enough on shards that it probably isn't worth doing Cram-o-matic too much. I guess 3/5 is basically free though (provided it's the same as before). You can impart what seems like a 1% lean per candy to the output candy type.
Think investing in this one long term would be a good idea?
>>57185556I think I have a better shot at farming dream coins at Lapis while also keep going for Ralts and Dratini. I prefer Lapis knowing what to expect and not run the risk of bad rolls on berry+dish+encounter
Almost finally had a Gallade candidate.>>57185611Would probably be better as a Gallade. Power-wise Gallade and Gardevoir are pretty similar except for their main skill, but Gallade functions a lot better with less Skill Trigger.
>>57185611it’s pretty close to perfect at 100, but 75 isn’t even available yet lol
Man I couldn't find this thread because OP forgot to put /zzz/ in the title.
>>57182890>no subject>no zzzBaka
I unlocked cram o matic and is this just a scam?I fed it 40 rat candies and it gave me 1 Normal candy M The next time I use it, it wants 5,000 shards. This seems like it will just get expensive very quick
Went hard powering up my OGPP team this morning.Dedenne from 48 to 50, and given main skill seeds.Gengar from 57 to 60 and unlocked x6 mushrooms slot.My team formation is able to make Neroli's Restorative Tea regularly (apples, ginger, mushrooms), this should really help after my week at Lapis Lakeside with good camp ticket active really cleaned out my ingredients.>>57186112No it's fine, you turned 40 unwanted Rattata candies into 25 usable Eevee candies, Kangaskhan candies, Ditto candies, etc. Some candies are lost in the conversion, but you probably weren't going to use those Rattata candies otherwise, right?Cram-o-matic costs go 1000, 5000, 15000, 40000 dream shards and reset each morning. It's arguably only worth using twice a day.
>Every single Dedenne I've caught have a main skill chance reducing nature
>>57186141Cheers. I read about the price increase but not that it resets. Seems useful then as you’re right, I didn’t plan on using Ratata candy which I have so much of
>spent last week at Lapis>caught a handful of ralts >all bad>final day today, catch one more>it's Helping Bonus + Skill Trigger M + Helping Speed M, but neutral nature>get a bit excited, maybe I'll retire my Wiggly? But then I put it in raenonx and while it is better than my wiggly, it's just a tiny 6% difference in the final team strength, how lame. Even having a better nature would barely change anything.
>>57186539Actually, 6% was considering Gardevoir at lv50, if I raise her up to lv60 it goes up to a massive 9.6%.
>>57186539>>57186563worth levelling just for the berry option for greengrass v2
>>57186141I literally only set up my Dedenne this morning and it's already proc'd 7 times for +70%, and already wants to proc again. This is going to be amazing.Breakfast didn't crit despite having +50% (60%) chance.
Goddamn rats all over my camp today
>>57186703Weird that it just locks up your pokemon though. I guess it can hold 2 for after you actually get your crit, but still.
Wtf is this shit
3 weeks of a good camp ticket in a row and my ingredients bag is hurting even with my Vaporeon never leaving my team.Getting hard to keep ingredients for my best dishes (rolled salads) since my OGPP team has one flex slot I can rotate
>>57188569>one flexOr you take a day and put in another ingredient mon or two and stop being a moron
>>57186703You're better off switching Dedenne out after it triggers once, since its skill loses value with each trigger after that. Then you can swap it back in after you get the crit until it triggers again.
Prepare your damage. Going to be mixing candies as much as I can to avoid getting a big stack of Electric or Fairy candies I don't need.
>>57189153>all that squirtle and quaxly candyWhy are you not using 2 of the best ingredient mons in the game?
>>57186539Doesn't Raenox's calculations assume that you are being a turbo-autist who does two equal sleep sessions per day? That might skew results. At least that's what I understand from it having two "zzz" icons there.
>>57187587Interacting with it still delivers berries and ingredients anyway, but holds the skill procs until you can use them.>>57188905This was shortly before I cooked up my delayed lunch anyway. All of my meals the past couple weeks have been delayed because I'm in a serious shortfall due to needing to make up 104 ingredients for every meal. Good camp ticket's 1.5x ingredient pot capacity is hard when your team only gets a 1.2x helping speed boost, even running a full ingredient specialist team on Friday didn't do much.I'm better off keeping the Dedenne running since it's decently fast, BFS, and high level. That still delivers good strength.Besides, are you suggesting I only run Dedenne until I get like +10% or +20% extra tasty chance? I don't see how it's "losing value" if I consistently just increase the chances and significantly increase the number of extra tasty meals each week.I guess the gains are "diminishing" if I keep increasing the chances past say +40%, as the flip may be that the next meal might be limited to only +10% / +20%, but I'd rather not micro-manage those bonuses.
Sit on it and pray for mints?
>>57189372Raenon's default is like a 7hr sleep and an hour or so nap midday and you can only change it with an account or premium or something. If you're measuring an E4E team that already caps out your team's energy though, the sleep cycle/pattern doesn't really make a difference.
>>57189562With a level 6 skill, the first proc doubles your chance of critting. The second one boosts it by 50%, then by 33%, etc. Since they go away right after you get a crit, there isn't much benefit in getting the stacks up, especially since the crit most likely didn't come form your most recent proc. If your only goal is to level up dishes or get the most crits possible, then it's fine to keep Dedenne as long as you can still make that meal consistently. If you want the highest Snorlax strength/drowsy power, then you get more value from switching out to a different Pokemon for berries/ingredients. Also, the Pot Size is a limit and not a goal. You don't get as much value out of the extra ingredients added, so if you aren't making the high value dishes and don't have enough ingredients you don't have to fill it up.
Kill me.
>>57189190Because I still don't have ones worth using. I actually have a level 50 full milk Blastoise, but it doesn't have anything except Helping Speed and Skill Trigger. I really need a good one with Cacao.>>57189637Very unfortunate. I think that one would have been fine, even if it got a main skill down nature.
>>57189637Kneel to the God of Bricks.
I have come to somewhat dislike hungry pokemonI don’t want to feed another pichu but it feels like such a waste to not take advantage of the bonus
what do we buy from the event after the main skill seed?I got the incenses because these are a bit rareother than that, I think the poke biscuits seem like the best deal overall
>>57190592i'm going seed -> biscuits -> incensethen i guess cheap candies into dream clusters into candies
Is this worth for a mono sausage even with the nature?
>>57191120It needs a mint badly, hold onto it just in case but don't invest otherwise.Aggron completely outclasses Charizard as a sausage farmer and is great for OGPP, though Charizard has Entei synergy and Ingredient Magnet S as a perk.
>>57189973How
>>57191120Sausages are kind of shitty as pot filler and there are already plenty of sources to be able to make whatever recipes you need. That Aron doesn't really have much going for it besides Helping Bonus, so I would just wait until you actually get a good one. Having to spend a Subskill seed and waiting until level 50 to do so isn't a great starting point.
Pretty decent Shinx this morning. It's not the ingredient spread I'd want, mono-tomato is my goal, but this is pretty serviceable as an OGPP fixture.
How many times are you Cramming each day?I plan to do it twice at most since I actually want extra Dream Shards handy over random candies. Doing a third time everyday amounts to an extra 100k shards over the week, which is quite a significant investment.1st: 1,0002nd: 5,0003rd: 15,0004th: 40,000So far I've gotten:1x Electric2x Fire (crit)1x Dragon2x Ground (crit)By the way, all current Ground types suck ass. Wonder what they could add to pull the type out of the garbage... besides Groudon as the type's poster boy.
>>57191977once or twice a day at besthonestly, I haven't bothered, I have a decent amount of candy for nearly every mon but most of the mons aren't worth spending the candy onespecially since dream shards are more neededafter I reached 69 pot size i'm at 600k shards again but leveling a mon takes a third of that or so
Natures not the best but how’s this duckie?
>>57192386Not good. BFS actually hurts Quaxly.
>>57193061Quaxly does not pick up high enough quantities of ingredients for the added berries to impede it at all. Maybe if you were doing mono-beans, but you'd probably want full Leekage anyways. The only thing really holding that Quaxly back is its ingredient spread (and nature to a lesser degree).
>>57193096If you're able to collect the berries and ingredients often also running both a day team and a night team it could work at Lv. 50-59 during the day. I think it's a waste and you're more likely to find a better one before that.
>>57191977Twice.As most of the mons I want to invest in are reaching lvl 45+, Dream Shards are becoming a bigger bottleneck than candy. I've managed to gather quite a lot in the Christmas event, but when the next pot upgrade comes it will surely obliterate my stock again.
>>57193061What? How?
>>57193864Inventory fills up faster (without giving you more ingredients), and when full only finds berries. Also when checking on them after sleep, they'll have more berries and therefore fewer ingredients. It's pretty min-maxy but it can make a difference.
>>57193885I don’t think I understand that. Inventories are gonna get filled when you sleep either way, we’re talking like 10 less ingredients in exchange for hours of berry contribution equal to a berry specialist.
BFS can only really "hurt" a skill Pokemon that relies on its skill and already has a small inventory. But even then, if it's a Charge Strength type, that power loss can usually be made up through overnight sneaky snacking and just general berry gains throughout the day. Even Pokemon in practical worst cases still take about 2-3 hours to cap out their inventories.
I'm doing a lot better on Power Plant, but I can't tell if it's just the 25% boost to cooking or my newly added on-type farmers even if they're only level 30.
>>57194406The best thing against limited inventory is to check frequently
I'm thinking about returning after a year. What's the meta for sleeping now?
>>57196244I usually use a bed with blanket+pillow combo
>>57195893Which isn't possible whilst you're sleeping, and you can't always check the game that frequently.Inventory is nice but mostly just for sleep time, or the few Pokémon that have annoyingly low carry capacity like Absol.>>571958851.25x cooking boost isn't that much in the scheme of things, but progressive area bonus and higher level helpers is where the biggest gains are made.OGPP will stop feeling slow in a few weeks. My current OGPP team is all level 50s and 60s now, my area bonus is only 21% but I'm currently on track to hit 1m by Wednesday bedtime.Dedenne has helped a lot with adding multiple extra tasty cook ups already, plus it's BFS so is still contributing actual strength.
>>57192386Subskills are decent but I dislike the ingredient spread.
My Gardevoir picks up a surprising amount of Leeks despite getting only 2 at a time. And speaking of ingredient spreads, "optimal" sets exist, though ultimately only really matter for ingredient types.Gardevoir for instance, would want Apples(1)/Corn(1)/Corn(2) or Apples(1)/Corn(1)/Leek(2) not only because those ingredients are valuable, but because the limited quantities make it less likely for its inventory to fill up before getting one if not both skill triggers overnight.Something like Arcanine on the other hand, would probably want Herb(1)/Sausage(3)/Milk(5), giving you a spread of ingredients in respectable quantities to make some staple recipes rather than prioritizing overnight skills.
>>57197223This type of minmaxing is stupid because the subskills and nature matter far more. You wouldn't sack a Sneasel with Berry Finding S, Helping Bonus, and Inventory Up M just because the last subskill could be better, let alone care about its ingredients. And if you want to take it even further, the ideal Gardevoir for getting overnight procs is one that's below level 60 so you never have to worry about getting more than 1 ingredient at a time.
>>57197551As I said:>though ultimately only really matter for ingredient typesGiven the choice between two identical or even moderately close skillsets though, there is reason to choose one over another.
>back to back 10% crits todayWas not expecting to reach master 3 on OGPP this fast but I'm not complaining
>>57196244>What's the meta for sleeping now?About the same. Outside of some new mons, map and top tier ingredient, the only notable changes were:>Buff to helping speed when Pokémon are at low energy (from 39 to 1 energy the speed doesn't degrade). It made Energy for Everyone users a bit less broken, but they are still broken.>Skill specialists can now hold two triggers instead of only one. Made skill specialists better in general (especially Golduck), while shafting Slaking.>Mons get ribbon rewards when you accumulate 200, 500, 1000 and 2000 hours slept with one. For fully evolved ones it just increases the carrying capacity a bit, while for ones who can still evolve it gives some small speed bonuses (but not enough to seriously consider not evolving one, outside of maybe Onix).>Some skills' max level is now 7>Max level is now 60, meaning that everyone now has access to their third ingredient slot>Legendaries were added (Raikou, Entei and Suicune), but they are niche since they require very specialized teams to be worth it, and leveling them up is a nightmare since they need way more experience than regular mons. Also, good luck trying to get one with good subskills+nature Other than that, nothing really changed. Some mons got buffs, but overall the ones who were shit are still shit, and the ones who were good are still good.
>>57198712Bonus: The legendaries have preset stats for their first catch, so your first of each is guaranteed to be a flop.
>>57198745>flopIt's decent at the very least. Don't be disengenous.
>>57199054I wouldn't as far as to call it a flop, but come on.>Legendary skill specialist with 0 speed or trigger boosts (unless you wait 2-4 years for them to unlock lvl 75)>decent at the very least>at the very leastIt is a big fat "meh", and "meh" doesn't cut it for legendaries, which need you to go through hoops just to be worth using.
>>57199262Hey man, having no main skill or help speed down nature and not being riddled with Research EXP, Dream Shards, and Energy Bonus is a good starting point. Not really worth investing at all, but there's not much use for anything but the top 90th percentile of any species anyways. I suppose "decent" has two meanings, whether it be in the grand scheme or things or in terms of actual viability.
Should i try to find a better one?
>>57199497You've already fully invested into this one, and it has a great skill trigger rate, it's fine. E4E Lv. 6 users honestly only need to trigger like 3-4 times a day to really work their best and this Gardevoir should be able to do that, it naturally has a better skill trigger rate and helping speed over Wiggly too.I mean if mints are ever a thing you can give this one a straight upgrade to maximum skill trigger rate too.
The EXP curve in this game is so brutal. I'm trying to get my golem to lv60 so it can farm basedbeans, but the jump after lv51 is so steep that I still need like 200 more geodude candies just to get from mid lv58 to 60.
>>57199910you can swap out pokemon who are 60 after they've gotten you to your incense reward each week, stick in some xp bonus or other pokemon you want to train
I go to sleep at 12 and track my sleep with the app. But it keeps tracking my sleep at 2-2:30am and it says time taken to fall asleep 2 hours and thirty minutes. Which is not true it takes me like 20 minutes to fall asleep. Why is it not tracking the first 2 hours of my sleep?
>>57200216the app tracks based on movement, so you're moving too much in that time period for it to determine you're asleep. maybe the phone is too close to you
>>57200156Incense reward at master 3 shouldn't be your stopping/slowing point, maximising strength and DP is how you discover new sleep styles and maximise dream shard earnings needed to power level new helpers.Although yes it is absolutely worth considering swapping out level 60 helpers at sleep time to get other helpers levelled. Maybe keep an E4E helper on the team so you can get that morning E4E boost, but otherwise EXP overflow into handy candy S is a poor conversion rate.>>57200216>>57200291Yeah, the game starts tracking sleep as soon as it think you're still enough for long enough to have entered "slumbering" for the first time.I use Go Plus+ for sleep tracking and it doesn't reliably track slumbering phases unless I put the thing right on the corner of the bed.Because I don't trust that my sleep session will measure any slumbering phase, I always start sleep tracking 10-15 minutes before actually climbing into bed. This probably isn't an option for anyone using a smart watch as their sleep tracker though.
It's fuckin Duck Tales in here.
Huh, I'm actually not sure which of these would be better overall.
>>57200216It takes like 5-10 minutes of non-movement to actually register that you've actually "begun" sleeping. I just put my phone to bed at least 15 minutes early on my night stand so that it tracks any subsequent sleep time properly.>>57200499Last one, obviously. Skill Trigger M + nature + BFS is at least double the power of the other ones.
>>57200984>bfs>low inventory, no inventory up>exp down
>>57201051Low inventory only marginally impacts it, whilst BFS delivers reliable strength gains whilst still fulfilling its meal crit-maxing role.Of the three Dedenne pictured it has the highest skill trigger rate and strength building potential.Inventory Up S does very little to benefit the Gentle Dedenne, whilst the +8 inventory from 2000 hours sleep is enough for the Sassy Dedenne to compensate for BFS.
>>57201195>two sassy
>>57200423New sleep styles aren't that important for some players, and though the dream shards from high masters is great, there's also the downside of not wanting to catch evolved pokemon who show up more often. Either way, you just get a lot of flexibility with what to do with your week and pokemon after you hit the incense
>>57201327Learn to read raenonxThe second Sassy one is 2000 hours sleep for +8 inventory, see how it increases the daily skill proc estimation from 5.25 to 5.52.
>>57201416I refuse.
I really don't like the Paldea starters. Both their designs and their functions in this game. Not to mention them also gumming up my power plant spawns.
>>57198712So Butterfree is still good?
>>57201943A nice Butterfree is decent, but it doesn't provide much power compared to many other berry farmers. It's a lot better earlier in the game, but you'll also likely want one for when the Dragon island releases, which is likely to favor Bug types as well. It also has the benefit of Ingredient Magnet, which tends to be more fun than pure strength skills.
plss gib ralts candy
