What was the purpose of telling Mewtwo he was created to be an obedient slave?
>>57184111To flex that he's the boss, dummy
>>57184111To psyche it out
>>57184111Flexing. The manga adaptation they made for the remake fleshes out the scene a lot and really sells the idea that he was utterly convinced Mewtwo was completely restrained by the armor and wouldn't be able to revolt.
>>57184111Giovanni is retarded
>>57184111Because Giovanni doesn't screw around and was giving the truth directly for it's own good. Mewtwo can think it's free to choose it's fate, but it's a Pokemon and therefore exists to be enslaved by humans (especially in Mewtwo's case as it's a mon built for battling). Only a matter of time until it gets stuck in a Master Ball and taught that the hard way in which it will realize Giovanni was right all along.
>Master, what is my purpose? Why have you created me?>You pass butter.>NOOO
>>57184154The ‘97 radio drama did the same thing where Giovanni was confident that the armor and chains would restrain Mewtwo’s powers.
>>57184620only on vp can you reference this and not get told to go back
>>57184154Its sad that how much personality Giovanni lost after Matori was introduced. Its as if the anime won't even give him a dialogue to give more screentime to Matori.
>>57184154Based. pokemon are slaves (they are into that weird shit)
