Master Ball use is down to player choice, this creates a nuanced resource management decisions. In ORAS, it is forced upon you after the 5th gym, arguably the halfway point. No decisions to make, no challenge at all to recieve the reward. Again, not the same. There's no gameplay involved here, and it's part of GF's larger lack of faith in the minds of their kid audience

That's nice and all, but it really is too much power at that point in the game.
