Okay, I've been resetting for shiny Pheromosa in Ultra Moon for the past five days and just need to ask at this point: Can it spawn as shiny if it's still named "???"? I also just beat Ultra Necrozma, do I have to progress more for it to be shiny, or am I just really unlucky?
i've not shiny hunted any UBs yet but i recently SR hunted regigigas, it took about a week or so (though it wasn't constant resetting all day every day). it helps if you're just doing it in the background like while you watch TV or whatever, makes it slower but it makes it feel a little less tedious which keeps you more likely to stick it out.i think you can still find it shiny while it's unregistered in the dex but tmk the original UBs don't ever run out, so worst comes to worst you can catch one to register it and just go SR on another.
