Would Ice becoming immune to itself count as a buff or a nerf for Ice types?
>>
I think Poison should be immune to itself
>>

Buff
>>
Buff to its defensive side, Negative to its attacking side thus it balances out to neutral.
>>
How about you fucking play the actual game, campaignshitter?
>>
>>57203113
The campaign is the actual game

Buff, since types besides ice use ice moves

>Ghost Pokémon are immune to Horn Drill and normal-type attacks
>Flying Pokémon are immune to Fissure and ground-type attacks
>Ice Pokémon are immune to Sheer Cold
Yes, they should also be immune to ice-type attacks.
>>
>>57201655
I think poison should be super effective to water because when water gets polluted enough fish die and float to the surface and then I get really sad looking at it
>>
>>57203543
Agreed. Water needs a nerf anyway.
>>
>>57203543
Water doesn't stop being water just because it's poisoned.
>>
>>57203555
kk smarty pants then you go get some poison right now and put it in ur fish tank and tell ur fish that it's still water
>>
>>57203571
Retarded take
>>
>>57203527
ghost types and flying types are immune to horn drill/fissure BECAUSE they're types they're immune to anyways, not the other way around you retard
sheer cold is the ONLY exception to the "every OHKO move has a type they can't hit because regular moves of the OHKO move's type can't hit that type" pattern, and it's for balance reasons

Besides ice already resists itself, and making it immune to itself will not solve any of the type's actual problems
>>
>>57203579
Oh, oh, nice rebuttal fag. If you put any drink mix in water nobody refers to it as water anymore because the taste properties change and the molecules adapt to change

Water + pollution = polluted water, not sustainable for water creatures. It's not even a hot take at this point, it's just common sense.

If anything it would have meant that Articuno would NOT have won that VGC event. If players weren't promoted to fight Articuno with ice, there would have been more hard switches to the point where Arti wouldn't have gotten half of the kills it did.
>>
>>57203631
Or, and hear me out
We could just not fuck with the type chart just because a string of unlikely RNG occurences happened with a move that's rarely used for a good reason
Look at placements for that team's inevitable copycats and you'll realize that the sheer cold tactic was pretty shit and carried by the other 5 mons
>>
>>57203600
And I'm saying Sheer Cold shouldn't be an exception
>>
every day i thank god that /vp/ users aren't allowed to change things in the games
>>
>Ice now resists normal
There I buffed ice without boing overboard. Personally I think ice should resist water and possibly be super effective against it, since ice is just cold/nonmoving water anyway
>>
>>57203607
>no argument
>>
>>57203555
Fairies don't stop being fairies just because they got poisoned either. Guess we should get rid of that weakness eh
>>
Absolutely a buff, considering that everyone and their mom carries a bit of extra ice. If anything it officially shuts BoltBeam down.
>>
>>57203552
Poison needs a buff
>>
>>57204625
mamoswine on his way to shit all over boltbeam fags
>>
>>57203543
Poison should be super effective to water, ground and flying (which should be renamed to wind type)
>>
>>57203113

Nerf since nobody uses Ice types as defensive mons.

Ice resists normal and deals super effective damage to water.

If you disagree you are brown, stupid and gay.
>>
>>57205024
chat is this real?
>>
>>57204579
Fairies typically have weaker composition and thus, poor immunity. The fairy Pokémon exempt from this, simply have better stats and/or steel typing.
>>
>>57205000
Pollution as we know it, travels more efficiently through liquids. Polluted cities, despite being heavily polluted only leaves their city by a small raid from the source.

Poison makes land uninhabitable but still traversable. Their strength towards grass already captures this dynamic.
>>
>>57201648
Both
>>
>>57201648
Grass should resist Fairy
>>
>>57203555
Water doesn't stop being water when you electrocute it either
>>
>>57203113
Verlisi-yawn-fag...
>>
>>57205000
I always thought that Poison should've been made SE against Water and Flying, but with Fairy in the game that'd be excessive. Just nerfing Water is fine enough IMO.

>>57205607
Birds, due to their physiology, are actually far more susceptible to poison. They breathe different than most other "land" animals. Smog is unironically more dangerous to birds than mammals or reptiles.
>>
>>57208647
Facts be spoken, but yikes. Isn't flying like, the second worst defensive typing in the game or some shit? If that passed I'd give them something like normal resist out of pity.
>>
>>57209193
NTA but Flying in immune to EQ and most hazards, and resists fighting. As for for weaknesses Rock moves don’t hit. physical electrics have an identity crisis. And Ice STAB is rare. Obviously all that’s all a simplification but the point is Flyikg is arguably within the top 1/3 of defensive types.
>>
>>57205013
Since no one uses them as a defensive mon then it’s actually a buff. Ice types can fire off ice moves in a similar way since they won’t be attacking a lot of ice types anyway. And now they can take ice beams from water types.
So it’s a buff
>>
>>57209193
>>57209219
More like it's a trick question since there's virtually no such thing as a pure flying type to judge properly. The typing in itself is very volatile, as the other type will either make it cheap AF (Dragon/Steel) or defensively DoA (Normal/Bug).

Their lack of impactful resistances giving lots of Pokémon 4× weakness cases, but like you stated, the flying type goes much deeper than match-up rock paper scissors.
>>
>>57209504
>defensively DoA (Normal/Bug)
losing the fighting resists sucks but switching into ghost attacks for free is certainly NOT DoA, especially in a world with no pursuit
bug is fucked though unfortunately yeah
>>
>>57210096
>Then proceed to have zero options against the said ghost
>Both stabs walled by rock and steel
Having a normal/flying on your team is a death sentence in itself. They never last long in the long run. Not even Mega Pidgeot took that long for anyone to get used to.
