Could Bertha be stronger than Cynthia? She's the only Sinnoh E4 member who in the anime didn't challenge her for the Champion Rank, which might be a hint that she's not interested in it. I think her age and experience would mean that she could in fact be the better trainer if she were to battle seriously.

>>57229082I doubt she's stronger now, especially with a team that has a type specialization that Cynthia's comparatively very balanced team could easily overcome, but perhaps in her younger days with a more balanced team comp (assuming she wasn't always a Ground-type specialist) she could. Definitely strikes me as the type that is pretty laid back now but was an absolute menace during their heyday.

Ground/Rock has too many shared weaknesses. But I think she's cool.
