Potion can probably be replaced by 2nd Bird or Tauros, but never underestimate the psychological damage/fatigue of Hard Coat+Blue+Potion and a 3x KO requirement with Druddigon lurking. All losses so far are from absent Melmetal. If opponent sucks at math or doesn’t pay attention, Melmetal claims an ez win. Not convinced Weezing is the way to go. The fact that Gyarados EX was practically nonexistent until it won the egirl tournament should prove how much it is indeed a brew. Compare that to Celebi, which was prevalent since day 1 of MI and was a "tier 0" deck until it didn't win the egirl tournament. A non-brew deck, like Mewtwo, Pikachu, or Celebi, is something that pretty much auto assembles itself. No one needs to be told how to make any of those decks. A person with even the most basic deckbuilding knowledge would arrive at those decks quite easily. Gyarados EX, on the other hand, that's a bit of a curveball. There are not many people who are going to naturally assemble that deck on their own. It's nothing like the Gyarados EX deck in the CPU mission. Most people thought Gyarados EX was garbage, so even putting Gyarados EX in a deck to begin with could possibly be considered a brew, the same way that putting Pidgeot EX in a deck currently defaults it to being a brew. Most people would probably try to put Gyarados into the Misty shell, if they were diehard Gyarados fans trying to make a bad card work.
