Nobody talks about Ting-Lu. What are your thoughts on it? Typing? Stats? Ability?
>>57231646i think these legendaries are some of the coolest groups we've gotten but they wanted me to . . . keep playing Scarlet and Violet so I never got them
>>57231646I tried making a thread two months ago about Ting-Lu but /vp/ fucking let it die the moment I slept in instead of getting up at the crack of dawn to keep the thread alive. So fuck this stupid fucking board for having no taste. I'm not going to post image threads to this image board anymore. But anyway, Ting-Lu is pretty awesome. For a while Krookodile was the ONLY Ground Pokemon with a resist against Dark attacks, because there were no Ground/Fighting or Ground/Fairy Pokemon, making them kinda weak against Dark coverage. Ting-Lu epitomizes everything that makes a good Ground-type Pokemon though. Great bulk, physical power, & a badass design.
>>57231646I like it, cool metamorphic rock pattern, very bulky and looks the part, great shiny, just a cool solid mon overall.
premier stomping tantrum useruse fissureif fissure fails use stomping tantrum
>>57231646What the fuck is a vessel?
>>57232260Something that holds liquid. Like a bowl or a cup.
>>57231820the other legendaries are also cool
I like it, but the other Ruins are cooler. I think this one would have worked better if it was a turtle and the bowl was an upside down shell however.
>>57231646Chink name hard to remember
>>57231646>OOOOO moose with bowl on head??!!! What a unique and interesting design!!! WoweeeeIt's shit
>>57231646They all look stupid except Wo-ChienTing-Lu was probably expressly designed just to hard counter Miraidon without concern for the collateral brokenness.
>>57232260So the vessel is actually based on the Taotie, which was both a type of artistic motif and, later, a mythological chaos monster, one of the four evils, representing gluttony/greed.
It's ugly and unfun to play against. Wish the Treasures were a trio, it brings the whole group down.
>>57231646Looks cool. The Ruins are up there as probably my Top 3 favorite groups alongside the beasts and the Tapus.Chien-Pao > Ting-Lu > Chi-Yu > Wo-Chien for meGlad we finally got a moose mon, and it looks nice to boot with an interesting concept behind it. Could've been some overdesigned abomination so I'm grateful how it turned out.
>>57231646I like it the most of all ruin-guys.
>>57231646Cool design and concept, fitting typing, faggot stat spread and ability
>>57231646Anon stop posting fakemon
>>57231653My thoughts exactly
>>57231646It's my favorite of the ruinous treasures. Fan of the shang dynasty bronze bowl, looks like a creature animated by dark magic. Actually looks good unlike ugly ass chien pao.
Cool dude, bulky as sin and looks the part
>>57231646I always wanted a moose pokemon, and was disappointed when a Stantler evo wasn't going to be itGlad we finally got one, and a strong sublegendary at that
New Ruins with these 8 types when? >Dark/Water>Dark/Flying>Dark/Electric>Dark/Poison>Dark/Steel>Dark/Dragon>Dark/Fairy>Dark/Psychic
>>57234150I want any of them to be based on a seven branched sword, maybe electric
>>57231646Quick question about all the ruins, are the objects meant to be the actual Pokemon and the elemental bodies just their means of fighting?Like Ting-lu is the bowl and then the moose is magical animated from earth to protect the bowl? Also what even is the bowl? The rest of them are self-explanatory but I don't get Tings
>>57234431>are the objects meant to be the actual Pokemon and the elemental bodies just their means of fighting?More or less yeah>The grudge of a person punished for writing the king’s evil deeds upon wooden tablets has clad itself in dead leaves to become a Pokémon. >The hatred of those who perished by the sword long ago has clad itself in snow and become a Pokémon. >The fear poured into an ancient ritual vessel has clad itself in rocks and dirt to become a Pokémon. >The envy accumulated within curved beads that sparked multiple conflicts has clad itself in fire and become a Pokémon. Ting-Lu's vessel is based on the ding, bronze vessels that have been used in China since the bronze age, so thousands of years. First they were just used to store food, but later they shifted to be a more ritualistic thing, usually used to place offerings for the deceased and such. They can also be a display of power, as people of importance get more of them in their tombs.
