>Simple, monochromatic design that even a child can draw >Manages to somehow appear goofy and menacing simultaneously >The prospect of befriending a literal pile of sludge mysteriously given sentience is amusingWhy do people point to Muk when lamenting "bad" gen 1 designs? Muk is simple, but his design works.
zoomers think anything that isn't an animal with wacky colors is a bad design

Muk is so much cooler than Garbodor. The mogging of the century.
>>57232706Muk >> Swalot >>>> Garbodor
What"s the difference ebtwen muk and grimer
>>57232824size, different arms, different eyes & mouth
>>57232664>Simple, monochromatic design that even a child can drawi probably couldn't

>>57232664I really don't think Gen 1 has any bad designs. They're all memorable and appealing even if you never really played Pokemon. My Mom is in her 50's and only watched the anime with me when I was growing up. She can still name pretty much all of the original dex except Spearow for some reason.
>>57233238sure, besides those differences. I'm sure if you put grimer and muk side by side you would have no problem differentiating them, am I right?
>>57232664Because it would (rightfully) be shit on as a lazy uninspired literally shit design if it didn’t have the genwun shield.
>>57233249>She can still name pretty much all of the original dex except Spearow for some reason.Have you tested this? You sound like you have. Why?
>>57233514Why haven’t you tested your parents?
>>57232664I think just because it's an evolution, so like "Grimer but it's bigger." Like it's not the concept that people see as a problem, but that two mons aren't that different from each other. And yeah I get they're in the same line, and I don't really have an issue with the design myself, but I think if Muk was a single-stage mon it wouldn't get the same complaints.
it has all the sins of pokemon design except being a jobmon. It's an extremely simple and dull design to the point where it's almost insulting, it's an "it just gets bigger" evo, the basic concept the mon itself is based on isn't even that good, and to top it all off the pokemon itself isn't even strong
>>57232664>Why do people point to Muk when lamenting "bad" gen 1 designs?Nobody says that. Nobody "laments" the vague and largely subjective differences between gens. Stop making genwar threads.
