What the fuck causes these prices? It's only this bad in America.
>>57235965Supply and demand.
>>57235965Because english is the most spoken language in the world, a jap copy of BW2 (boxed, with manuals) still costs around $40, while european ones are higher but not at the level of the us ones, i’m not sure how much uk copies cost tho
>>57235987 thisJust emulate.
>>57235987do Americans specifically just rly love the DS
>>57235996Theres a very specific “investment culture” in the U.S id say where people buy up products they know are highly wanted and act like they’re gonna sell it for big in the future, anythings a fucking stock market as long as enough people want it. TCG has become the same thing.
>>57235965How the fuck do these retards lose a BOX for their DS games?
>>57235965Damn I paid $120 canadian each for white and white 2 a few years ago and that was with the box and inserts
>>57235965This is nothing, I remember PSX copies of Final Fantasy VII selling upwards of $200- 300 not even ten years out from initial release. Those prices would be much higher if it wasn't so braindead easy to emulate these days.
>>57235965That Black 2 is suspicious. Those plastic single-holder cases are all signature of a forgery, but I haven't heard of any gen 5 games being counterfeited at all. At least, ones that aren't immediately obvious. I don't remember why exactly though. The top Platinum makes me suspicious too, just based off the price. I also don't see the down arrow, which should be emboldened on the cart. Probably not legit, but I can't tell from here. The lower Platinum is a clear forgery. Fakes tend to have the down arrow engraved on them instead of emboldened on it.That White also seems suspicious because only the case is shown. They could be selling anything in there.I can't tell from that HeartGold. The price seems accurate for a real cart, but it's too unclear to make out.
>>57236023This. Any game without its box and manul is completely worthless.
>>57236060i imagine some kids just throw away the box.
>>57235965Someone should tell these people that the DS gens are disliked, thats what vp told me.
>>57235996goofy nigga have you seen GBA game prices
>>57236023Hey zoomie.Back in the 2000s, most Nintendo handhelds were just Pokemon machines, so we didn't have huge collections of games we needed to keep track of.In fact, many of us would sell any game we felt finished with, like a Pokemon Mystery Dungeon, to GameStop for extra money to buy other games.Given how it isn't hard to keep track of a max of 3 cartridges, at a time, it often never occurred to us to keep boxes and cases around. If it's going to stay in my device for the majority of the time I own the game, it's simply a waste of space. So a lot of us simply wouldn't keep the box around, because why bother? They aren't console games. It was not a "loss".
scalpers + autists
>>57235965You'd pick up these games for $25 each five years ago
>>57236312They are rarely $100+ right? Unless things have changed since I last looked.
>>57235965Being good games
being mid games
>>57236614(You)
how do you even know if they're reproduction carts?
>>57236653https://gameverifying.com/wiki/cart-based-systems/ndshttps://gameverifying.com/wiki/cart-based-systems/nds031
>>57236653pretty sure repro carts can't connect to other cartridges, unless the chinese have gotten better at making at them. I remember there was a time where they could barely hold a save and they seemed to have figured that out.
>>57236622Thanks

>DSsecond best selling console of all time>DS Pokemon gamesnot even in the top 4 best selling gamesThe DS games sold poorly relative to the install base, and now that the install base has disposable income they want to rediscover what they missed.
