This is not a leak or anything like that, I just want to put the facts on the table.

We know that Switch 2 has its official presentation in early April, and following the release of Switch 1, they made the first look in October 2016 spent about 2-3 months since its presentation in January 2017, coming out in March of that same year, two months later.

So, if we follow these dates a bit, we could concretize that Switch 2 will come out between June and July this year using the same time between presentation and launch.

That brings us to the pokemon TCG leaks with sets related to the mega evolutions that we know will be released in summer, I think it is most likely that ZA will be released at the same time as NS2, maybe for having two versions depending on the console, as has been rumored or not to spoil the launch.

It's just my opinion, but I think it would be quite likely, and I'm sure that when we have the February presents, they will be involuntarily giving us a date for Switch 2.

Don't be surprised if Gamefreak takes the lazy, greedy option (which is something they're world experts in) and just makes 1 version. Switch 2 will have backwards compatibility so you can play the Switch 1 version on that console as well. Given the levels of greedy and corner cutting Gamefreak has shown for the past decade why would they bother putting any more than the bare minimum of effort in, such as making a whole other version for Switch 2, when the Switch 1 version will run on the Switch 2 anyway?

In my opinion the only reason you'll even be able to play ZA on the Switch 2 at all is because it will support backwards compatibiltiy with Switch 1 games. Gamefreak has a long history of making games for only the older console when the newer one has long since released.

While I'm all for the devs shafting switch users and releasing Z-A on the new console exclusively, I'm partial towards gen 10 being a launch title for the S2 just for hype and sales factors.
