PLA was the only "past" game so far. If they ever do a "future" game, would you rather they make traditional future aesthetics and continue being utopian or take more cues from vibes like these?

So utopia or dystopia? Which one?

I always wanted an apocalypse pokemon game with a story actually being good again but we all know out daddy ishihara insists the games must only be for the kids, not for convincing the people with the money to buy the games.

In essence, Pokemon and something like Disney have opposite but the same problems. Disney's only successful products rely on nostalgia, except they butcher it every time leaving every camp pissed, with they originals all being woke trash that doesn't have staying power and that no one will remember. Pokemon always has bullshit creative decisions with no explanation that alienate existing players and push for casualization for the newer audiences, but at the same times relies on cheap and inauthentic ways to evoke nostalgia in all the wrong, cringey ways. Then they maximize the attempts to change the formula while not actually changing it at all to maximize good inline coverage. That's why they'll NEVER do this.
