If they don't, people are going to hold the GameFreak leaks over the franchises head forever. Nintendo canned PunchOut for much less backlashed it's last game received. Obviously Pokemon will never be cancelled, but I expect it being more safe than it already is in the future.This shift probably won't be noticeable in PLZA, but could be noticeable for gen 10. Or I am wrong we will get 6 gorillion new Orre games and each gen 10 starter will evolve into a sexy fursuit.

It was only a small minority that lashed out at the game, but that was enough for Nintendo to never give us another PunchOut game, despite it's last entry being beloved by many players. I believe this source, because when I look at Arms I can see how much more careful Nintendo was to not make any character appear as a racist caricature. Obviously Punch-Out and Arms are mechanically two very different games, and their style is also very different too, but they are both boxing themed games and I think Arms serves as Punch-Out's replacement, even if it is a shit replacement. I also don't dislike the fact that USUM has long cut scenes full of dialogue, it's that those cut scenes are full of boring characters who are also gay. Orre has less dialogue than Alola too. I liked Z-moves, at least as a single-player mechanic. They were better than Mega-Evolutions, which only a handful of Pokemon could do, and made most of them uglier.
