What matters to normies are the Pokemon designs. They literally only care about the quality of the designs, which is why Gen 1 and 3 are the most popular gens. Merch is the largest segment of Pokemon's income, not video games.

Why is this board so obsessed with started flame wars over generations of Pokemon? Like, not even the quality of the games themselves, but the new Pokemon in the Pokedex. I'm an OG Pokemania fag and I do not give a shit about any of this. If there are any cool new Pokemon, hopefully they make it into a romhack that is actually good. If the official game is not horrible, that's a bonus.
