>>57241288The best battlers on this board for singles used to be in /cpg/ (competitive Pokemon general) but they eventually turned into a circlejerk that were more Smogon than /vp/ because the board was so stupid and uncaring for competitive that the general grew less and less active until it couldn't stay up as normally as other generals. There used to be good single battlers in Showderp too. Basically, the good battlers are associated with Smogon.As for doubles, there have been a few people confirmed to place at regionals on this board (posted proof with the award), so there are some good players.And then aside from all that, the people who are good are probably going to change with each format. Some were more active during Gen 5 era meta, Gen 6, Gen 7, etc. So looking for the people who are good now might only amount to a snapshot of just who's active during Gen 9's meta.>t. someone who used to be a very involved and high-placing competitive player during Gen 6 but stopped keeping up years ago

A couple of years ago we had /vp/ watched Pokémon, I don't even think the website it was hosted through still exists, but it was like a livestream viewing party of the anime from episode 1 including all the films and specials.The chat room of /vp/ watches Pokémon may not have decided who the best pokémon master is on /vp/, but it was a free for all battle royale that crowned who the biggest racist on /vp/ is.All episodes involving primeape or mankey were 20 straight minutes of the word "NIGGER" and other similar things in the chat.I miss /vp/wp

The finalist would become gym leaders and you could challenge them to become champ. There were multibattles while waiting too. I miss those threads but I refuse to join discord
