It wasn't hard at all to find 151 when it released, but now when a special collection is released a year later it can't be found anywhere because balding manlets are camping outside the store to speed to the pokemon aisle. This isn't limited to 151 btw. For several YEARS old SWSH sets like Lost Origin or Silver Tempest were easily available everywhere but just in the last 2 months they've all been swept clean by scalpers. It's clear that the crypto boom brought a whole bunch of subhumans into the hobby, and while you can partly deflect the blame on the bigger retards that get duped, it's ultimately the scalpers fault this is happening.

There are obviously a lot of guys that have been through the ups and downs of the hobby, but there are a lot of new collectors that have had to shell out a lot more for singles and ETBs. The market is so crazy that even if you bought at a premium you're probably still in the green overall. When things normalize your perspective changes. Do they really like the pokemon? probably. But that $50-$100 card starts looking more and more like cardboard when the line has been going down for months.
