There's too much PR backlash for just banning accounts who participated in this since people are using the feature as it's fucking made. There would be too many innocent kids caught in the crossfire for just doing what their bros on the playground are doing as well, especially since it's still a pain in the ass to manually get into a god pack friend list from spamming requests manually. It's DeNA's fault for being too retarded to structure it in a way where it doesn't get abused so heavily.

They should have made it something like you need to be friends for a week before packs start appearing in your account (aside from the first week of launching the game). This would kill god packs in their entirety because by the time their packs get cycled into your WP rotation the god pack is gone already. But if they're too retarded to think of an anti-exploit system like that, they're too retarded to track down who's doing it in a way that doesn't have a bunch of false positives and complaining parents.

I say this as someone who doesn't do the god pack bullshit by the way. I don't have time for that shit and I'm not going to delete my actual friends list of real bros just so I can make room for WP bots. I'm just being realistic with understanding how game companies handle this stuff, and reading the actual announcement it blatantly says they will be issuing warnings first and foremost. Even if just 0.01% of abusers include innocent kids doing what their playground bros are doing, it creates bad PR that can snowball. The vocal minority has a large impact on your reputation, especially when news outlets will spin it up as a firestorm with blatant exaggerations and lies for personal gain at your expense.

There's not going to be any widespread bans. At most they'll just ban the level 3 accounts that got god packs and never opened the game again after mass accepting mass friend requests.

Can’t comment of the percentage of players participating in the exploit, but the numbers are pretty large. Could have easily been avoided by making the friends list more valuable or ensuring that at least one 4-cost pick shows up every 48 hours. You wouldn’t see such a large volume of people exploiting the system if it was better.

As for the fear-mongering, I’ve seen situations like this before in gacha. Warning comes out. Dorks who didn’t exploit start talking shit. No one gets banned. Exploit is quietly patched. People *could* get banned, but I don’t think it’s likely.

If you have *already* participated in this, you're good, you're not going to get banned. They do care because people paying for private godpack picks means less paypigs are buying gold to get those godpacks manually. School Idol Festival (rip) had a similar issue where a hacker managed to spread a modded version of the apk which let you roll on limited banners forever, hack infinite scores and so on and the outcome of that hacking wave was people who actually were players scratched by only getting a warning and low level accounts made for the sole purpose of grieving got banned outright

In the beginning, yeah. My first account rolled 2 immersive Pika on the first day, and I’ve been coasting ever since. I have purchased one month of premium, and with that + normal dailies, I can make almost any deck. Missing random stuff like a second copy of Egg ex or a copy of Marowak ex.

Might renew premium if a particularly enticing set releases, but I might not. The 2 star rates are incredibly jewish. However, the game makes it pretty easy to get the cards you need to play.

You can still run Palkia with Vaporeon and Starmie if you want to shoot off its second attack. Palkia has lots of advantages over Gyarados in that build. It's basic, so you don't need three evolution lines. It can attack as a lead if you don't manage to get Starmie early. It can OHKO basically anything with a Giovanni, even Charizard.

It feels like that's probably the intended use for Palkia.

I think people speculating about how it will work in Pika are off-base. The deck doesn't particularly need a third Pikachu. It's more likely decks will have to choose between Pikachu and Pachirisu based on which deckbuilding constraint they want to build around.

This is just speculation since they weren't announced but since both GA and MI followed this pattern of having gym leaders released as support for their arctypes we'd expect another stage 1 line electric pokemon to be released, and those 2 would be the next gen's electric deck.

It was a disappointing expansion, for sure. Biggest issue is that Gyarados/Drudd fucked the matchup spread for most decks so hard that you either build to beat it or accept a really bad matchup. Worse, this is likely not a problem that will be fixed anytime soon. Nonzero percent chance that Drudd-style archetypes continue to force bench hitters into a lot of decks.

No, it takes 2 days (48 hr) to earn 4 WP stamina.
So right now you can get a god pack WP every other day.
Without god pack farms, you (ideally) just check on your WP list and hopefully find a pack with 1 or 2 1-star-or-better cards, where you have a 1/5 or 2/5 chance to pull something good.
If your odds are 1/5, it means every 10 days. If you get 2/5 packs, then it's every 5 days or so.
