Almost Halloween Edition

What is Pokémon Sleep?
Pokémon Sleep is a sleep tracking app that utilizes your smartphone and/or the Pokémon Go Plus + device to record data as you sleep. In doing so, you'll be able to meet a variety of Pokémon and fill out your Sleep Style Dex.

Be sure to post your Research ID so that you can add and share candy with fellow Anons. We are currently locked at 50 friends.

FAQ:
>How do Shinies work?
If you encounter a shiny Pokémon, you only need to feed it a single Poké Biscuit to befriend it.
>What should I spend my diamonds on?
Expanding your ingredient pockets, item pockets and Pokémon box. Long term you’ll want to max out ingredient pockets, only get half of max for items and max 100 for Pokémon.
>When should I use my items?
When you have a good grasp of the game mechanics. You may want to save up Recovery Incenses for event missions.
>What should I spend my sleep points on?
Poké Biscuits first or if you’re a premium user: Main and Subskill seeds and Great Biscuits.
>Can I play this game if there's a lot of noise where I sleep?
The game tracks sleep based on motion only; sound has no impact.
>A Pokémon I fed got full! Will I have to start from scratch the next time I find one?
Nope! Pokémon retain the level of progress they were at the last time you fed them.
>How do dream clusters work?
The higher your research rank, the more you get. You may want to hold onto them as long as possible.

I'm so happy I can finally have 800 ingredients. This shit took forever to come.
>>
Hopefully the thread has a chance of surviving, all the leak positing is rough for the poor, slow sleep general.
Ingedient storage is great, darkrai change too. Maybe I'll finally progress on him considering I don't usually use even my daily on him unless there is NOTHIING else better. Hard to say if energizing cheer is enough, weird they're making it better at targeting low energy mons but then weakening it too.
>>
>>58412446
They're also increasing trigger rates for Energizing Cheer users to offset it. Slowking, Wobuffet, and Leafeon might be a little more consistent if you have them, but I doubt they'll really be able to keep your team up. Having to hit multiple times per day for each member of your team is kinda shitty... I guess it works better with Charge Energy users.

Also Drifloon buffs, hopefully enough to average above just a straight Charge Strength M user.
>>
Ingredient storage upgrade is very, very welcome. It'll let me stockpile more effectively.

Expert berry rolls were good this week, got ice / rock / grass, so that's Walrein, Meganium, and Victreebel on active duty.
I think I'll manage Master 3 this week on 30% bonus without a GCT.

>>58412559
It would need to be as frequent as Charge Strength S Golduck to even justify it, we'll get data soon.
Non-skill specialists with Energizing Cheer, like Ninetales, might actually be nerfed by this change.
>>
>>58412559
Its a weird combo though. Higher trigger rate and targets lowest energy more often, but can't have it get too buffed, lets lower the amount of energy recovered to balance it.
>>
>>58413516
It does mention that /most/ Pokemon should have an overall increase in energy output, with the exceptions probably being the ones that trigger only once per day already. The ones that actually use their skills, I imagine will get at least 2-3 extra triggers with a proper skill load out.

The data probably showed that everyone was ignoring Energizing Cheer specialists and going for E4E only, and then struggling in Expert Mode where EC healers should probably be deployed.
It also means they can encourage players to get more main skill seeds.

Wobbuffet will still get completely ignored in favor of Gardevoir or Cresselia though.
Leafeon will definitely improve and see more use, however.

Was wondering when they were actually going to announce the Halloween event since we usually get a 2-week notice. Also we still have new moon, but ai don't think that's going to overlap with the 2x candy/Halloween event.
>>
>>58415023
Oh, I forgot we're also due for another Pokemon this month. Natu/Xatu appeared at the tail end of the previous month, but "recently debuted Ghost-type Pokemon" is worded so strangely that it must refer to whatever new Pokemon will be released.
I fear Misdreavus/Mismagius, because that would be another 16-pip capture compounded by an evolution item requirement. Also there's a non-zero chance that the new Pokemon will also have Energizing Cheer.
>>
I think it was last thread someone made a post saying the party lead pokemon had a higher chance of getting candies. Is there any proof of this?
>>
>>58416665
Source is apparently a Japanese player recording their own data.

If it's true, it should be easily reproducible and observable by anyone over the course of a few weeks.

I'll see what I can do to add to this research.

Which is funny if true, most of what I use as leads are lower level or weaker mons I'm trying to raise.
>>
>>58417242
For me, it's always my E4E or "team fixture" that I have in the lead, and part of why I had so many Jigglypuff candies.
In the rare cases where I benched a healer for a short while (like everyone at 150% late in the day), it'd be like my Dedenne or something instead, but that's too short of a time for that chance of extra candies.
>>
>>58417305
I get running something like that too, since sometimes I tell myself the lead will also be more likely to skill proc.
>>
Sorry lads i was banned for racism and couldn't keep the thread alive.

Even if you do replicate this data, doubling the rate among 4 other possibilities is still rather low to create much of a disparity. The average pickup is once every 3 hours or something, meaning you might get up to 10 candies in a day, 4 of those being for your leader. Better than nothing, I guess.

>>58419967
I only just now realized that the Eevee is new. We've had 2x Halloween Pikachus, and Xmas Pikachu and Eevee, but this is the first Halloween Eevee. Will they actually make it an ingredient type to round them all out? Or just a different main skill this time?
>>
>it's another "hungry" manages to go to the only pre-evolved Pokemon in your research episode
