Thread question: what is the best Ghost type to use in a Nuzlocke?

Another bump.
Honestly, if this thread dies we'll probably go on break for a couple days. Everyone's busy with playing and discussing Legends ZA and all.

I've just began a FireRed nuzlocke.

My starter is a Bulbasaur and I also caught a Pikachu. Right now I have beaten Brock by having Bulbasaur use Leech Seed and Vine Whip to take out both his Geodude and Onix. Bulbasaur evolved into Venusaur while traversing through Mt Moon and I've made it to Cerulean City.

Any advice for Misty?

Also yeah I'm back again. I attempted to jump off a balcony at a convention but I was stopped by staff who pulled me away from the balcony and I ended up staying at a hotel room in a city I don't live in for my own protection. I made it back home and I've been feeling depressed but I've decided to try and continue with life and mabye attend another convention hoping to make friends.

I'm also back doing nuzlockes but right now I don't really feel like typing out loads of details like I did last time and making everything verbose.
>>
>>58420840
I've fought Rose and Leon since, just don't have the update ready.
Run ends once I beat Sordward+Shielbert, Peony and Mustard.
>>
>>58419434
I don't know but I've had success with very little ghost types due to them not being exactly common. I guess I would say Deciduye is probably good.
>>
>>58419434
Depends a lot on the game, but Gengar has been great consistently for most of the time it existed(losing levitate sucks) despite being frail.
Jellicent is good almost every time it shows up(despite often being in games with bad endgames for ghosts) because it is a bulky water ghost with Recover that can burn you with either Scald or Wisp.
Cofagrigus and Runerigus are both quite reliable thanks to their insane bulk.
>>58425513
As someone who has run all three starters in SM/USUM, Decidueye is pretty dang bad, and the ghost type is almost mostly a negative for it.
>>
>>58425491
Man, I was hoping you didn' go through with it. I don't know, take that as a sign to keep going.

Well I just lost my first pokemon this nuzlocke. Up against my rival Gary, his Charmander used Ember which burnt Pikachu before another Ember took it out. After beating Gary, I caught a Oddish and a Abra. I would leave Abra at the daycare while Oddish would evolve into Gloom but when I came back to the daycare, Abra had already reached level 18 which meant it missed confusion if it evolved into Kadabra. I decided to evolve Abra into Kadabra anyway with a rare candy but I'm kinda annoyed but also don't want to use the daycare again in case I miss another move.

Any advice for the SS Anne?

Also this is so annoying. Is there not a way to have Kadabra learn Confusion now? I don't want to wait until I get to the move relearner because by that point, Kadabra will be far behind everyone in terms of level that it won't even be worth it and I can't use Kadabra in battle because it still only knows Teleport.

Why couldn't the developers just allow your pokemon to evolve and learn moves at the daycare?
>>
>>58425805
Hmm how about Frosslass then? Never used it but I've heard it's good.
>>58426994
Someone stopped me and pulled me away from a balcony.
>>
>>58427626
Froslass is alright most of the time. A bit lacking in power for being as frail as it is, but the speed can come in handy. Being an Ice type that doesn't need to fear fighting has its uses.
>>
>>58427622
You do learn moves from the daycare, Abra just doesn't learn anything through level up. Fortunately, Kadabra learns Psybeam in two levels so you can swap train or even set him back in the daycare.

I beat Misty easily. I had Gloom take out her Staryu with Poison Powder then Absorb meanwhile Kadabra used Reflect then Thief, a TM I taught it to take down her Starmie. After that, I caught a Ratatta simply to be my HM slave and I also caught a Onix in Rock Tunnel. I gave him a funny name, Dildo but I lost Onix to a Hikers Geodude that knew Magnitude and landed a Magnitude 9, I had only just taught Onix dig too.

Any advice for the lost tower?

I heard that place is very spooky.
>>
>>58429284
That's a shame. Still got Kadabra and it knows Psybeam and Reflect so things are looking good.
>>
How do people typically approach nuzlocking in SV? I've always been curious about this
>>
>>58430379
I think all the different zones can be counted as routes, maybe using Pokecenters if that sounds better, and some use a wheelspin or rng selector, or you can just shut your eyes and run until you find something. There's another method that i find interesting: blind spinning on the map, jiggling the cursor and placing a marker. Then you blind spin your character until you're lost the direction and then run forward until you encounter something or hot a wall.

>>
>>58430257
Yeah, it's still Kadabra in Kanto at the end of the day. Be careful in the tower, if you're heading to Lavender town that is, it's full of Ghost types and Kadabra isn't exactly sturdy.

Today Ivysaur evolved into Venusaur and I caught a Growlithe. Unfortunately while at Team Rockets Hideout, I would lose Gloom to Giovannis Kangaskhan which used a powerful Mega Punch and took out Gloom with one shot but atleast Gloom was able to poison it. I also caught a Ghastly in Pokemon Tower.

Relatively speaking, how good is my team?
>>
>>58425494
Looking into it, I'm probably removing the second Peony fight from my list of things to do. Having to go through the entire Crown Tundra just for a shot at him feels like overkill.
I'll just settle for Mustard as a final fight.
>>
Is it even possible to nuzlocke ZA? The wild zones are there but would the Pokémon be first one you see? Obviously the catch rules would have to be thrown out, but was also considering just running with my eyes closed and nabbing the first one who attempts to knock my teeth in.
>>
>>58436069
It's as possible as legends Arceus or SV, there's just a couple extra hoops to jump through. Running with your eyes closed works, you can also spin a wheel.
>>
I think this is the most likely thread to have what I'm looking for.
Has anybody made a "important battle level cap" list for ZA yet?
Not Nuzlocking on my first playthrough but I hate being overleveled.
SV had some before the game even came out, but I can't find shit for ZA.
>>
>>58437646
The only thing i've seen is maybe level 9 and 16, but that was a single comment on a reddit post from a quick search. Probably gonna take a day or two for that to get made.
>>
>>58430379
You could also count the first Pokémon you get into battle with as your encounter, which allows you to plan your encounter, however if another Pokémon accidentaly runs into you then tough luck, that's your encounter. Sometimes the game won't let you get to your desired Pokémon and will spawn something random in your face so i feel like this is a valid solution as well.

If you want to go the "let RNG decide for me" route, this one seems to have the most up to date info:
detrucid.github.io/sv-nuzlocke-generator

Be sure to check the named areas in Bulbapedia or something because there are a few areas that don't appear on the map and this game gives you relatively few encounters, imo the most egregious one is the very late game Great Crater of Paldea which everyone forgets about and the only wild Pokémon in there are fucking Garchomp and Magnezone.

Any advice for how to grind Dratini?
>>
just got to victory road in platinum
need help bulding team for final rival battle and E4, I have been overthinking this for days
>>
>>58439544
don't bother. you'd just be wasting your time. even if you released every other Pokémon (except HM slaves) and tried to solo the rest of the game with Dratini: it still wouldn't be a Dragonite by the time you reach the Elite 4.
>>
>>58439544
The safe and boring way is to EXP Share or switch grind off wild Pokémon, obviously being aware of which mons get Pursuit. The Vs Seeker a good way as well, you just need to find a decent route that you can grind trainers on.
>>58439742
Gliscor is a great mix of attack, bulk, and speed. Bronzong is a great tank, especially with Levitate as its ability, meaning its only weak to mainly Flint and Cynthia's Garchomp. Lucario and Crobat are good choices as well. Togekiss has a fine learnset, but you need heartscales to get them. Infernape should mow through Aaron easily if you match Cynthia's levels.

samefag here. I was about to reset because Snivy and Patrat were both killed and Lillipup was in red, but I decided to see how it plays out, and the opponent's Tepig used Tail Whip instead of just killing Lillipup. I ended up winning the battle.

I think I stole the bad luck from that one guy. I just lost my Leaf Green run to Misty, with an Ivysaur, due to Water Pulse from Staryu confusing on the first move, and Ivysaur hurting it self twice. Even with the free switch against Starmie by sac'ing Zubat and getting Sleep Powder off, I still lost. Probably should have gone for Stun Spore instead.

TLDR: read the very last line of my post again

Riolu is useless in a nuzlocke as far as I’m concerned. Not only does it have an abysmal 5% encounter rate, it doesn’t learn Force Palm until Lv. 15 in B2W2. I don’t play with infinite rare candies but even for people who do: the level cap for Cheren is Lv. 13, so they can’t even skip to an easy Force Palm. Also, Gen 5 has a unique mechanic that changes how much EXP is gained compared to the levels of the Pokemon, so grinding to Lv. 15 would be more tedious in this game because the EXP fodder you’d be killing are all lower level.

The real threat with Cheren is the same as the first gym in BW and is twofold, the first half being Work Up. The only counterplay is Growl, and since none of the starters have Growl: your only hopes are getting lucky with Purrloin or Mareep encounters. The second half is the newly buffed BP 50 STAB Tackle, which is equivalent to BP 75. The game doesn’t give you any ghost-types at this point in the game so you can’t have an immunity. It doesn’t give you any rock-types or steel-types either, so you can’t resist them either. The accuracy has also been buffed to 100% so you can’t even hope to get lucky.

B2W2 gives you 3 X-items scattered before the first gym leader but that’s only if you’re not doing the hardcore nuzlocke lol
>>
>>58437646
Apparently for Rank Up battles it's 9, 16, 21, 24, 32, 39, 47, 52, 59 and 63.
Couldn't find any post or site anywhere talking about other story battles.
>>
>>58444296
Kind of a tangent but I want to go on an autistic rant about how difficult Platinum Fantina is (with level caps/hardcore rules). It's ironic that two pokemon that wall out Mismagius's coverage (Stunky and Murkrow) are not in the game so you're scraping by to find something that can tank Shadow Balls. Most Normal types are frail, the best wall I can think of is Noctowl but it can't damage Mismagius so you have to get lucky with Hypnosis. Moreover, Mismagius is also stupidly fast and can confusion cheese pretty much anything. The closest things to actual counters I can think of are these:
>Crobat
Outspeeds and spams Bite, depending on IVs/nature you might get screwed with low bite rolls or get OHKO'd by crit Psybeam. Also grinding a happiness evo is a pain.
>Floatzel
Probably the best counter. Gets Crunch at just the right level, strong, outspeeds naturally. Still weak to Magical Leaf so you're risking getting crit if you're not OHKOing her.
>Substitute
Abusing the game's bad AI by subbing on Duskull with anything strong and getting essentially a free hit on Mismagius which is enough to muscle through the fight. Still being forced to use a TM feels bad, especially since you're cheesing the bad AI.

And I guess Umbreon can technically do it too but it doesn't get any Dark moves at Level 26 so you have to spam Sand Attack on top of grinding another happiness evo.

Am I just bad? Does anyone have any alternatives?

Well I lost Dratini to a Birdkeepers Dodrio that used a powerful Rage. Would have been avoided if I sent out Kadabra first but i nearly lost Kadabra so I kinda had to sacrifice a pokemon while healing Kadabra and Dratini had to go. I then also lost a Growlithe while at the Silph Co to a Rocket Grunts Weezing that used Self Destruct. With two losses, I did get a Lapras however, this helps.

Now it's time for gym leaders. I like to do everything as possible before taking on a gym leader.
>>
>>58445160
This is just my idea but maybe it could work

>Togetic is a guaranteed encounter by Cynthia's Egg, it has worse bulk than Noctowl but it has Yawn and Encore.
>Eevee is also gifted to you in Hearthome city.
>Evolve Eevee to Umbreon and learn Pursuit at level 15.
>Equip Togetic and Umbreon with Lum or Persim Berry (unfortunately the only way to get them right now is by the berry man NPC next to Hearthome and it's a random one each day)
>Bait Mismagius' Shadow Ball and switch in your Togetic safely
>Use Encore (you're expecting to be slower), if Mismagius uses Confuse Ray stay in and use Yawn then when it's sleeping switch to Umbreon, if it uses Psybeam just switch to Umbreon.

The viability of this depends on how trigger-happy the AI is with Confuse Ray, I have no info about that
>>
>>58445737
Shit never mind, I forgot the Eevee is level 20 and it has literally no moves available to hit ghosts, best it can do is spam sand attack
>>
>>58445321
Fair point. The 5% encounter rate makes it unreliable but if you're lucky enough to find one it's a pretty good Mismagius answer.

I also forgot to mention Gyarados which is still vulnerable to Confuse Ray but if you have decent luck it should be able to out-tank Mismagius (especially if you subscum.)

>>58445737
>>58445831
I hadn't considered Togetic. The Encore strat seems decent if you have something that can tank Psybeam spam (like Gyarados, which I mentioned earlier.)

Yeah the lack of Persim berries is annoying, part of why I hate this fight is that even if you can tank Mismagius's hits you're at the mercy of confusion. As on-the-nose as it was, I'm glad GameFreak at least had the foresight to have Cheren give you Chesto Berries prior to the Lenora fight. I'm not smart enough to know about the AI Confuse Ray thing either so this is mostly theoretical.
>>
>>58441821
And becomes a 5% chance when you add in Water Pulse confusing on the first turn. That literally lost me that fight, as Vine Whip was a OHKO.
>>

Alright screw it, after ranting about Fantina I've decided to boot up Platinum and try to maximize my chances of beating her, ideally without subscumming. General hardcore rules, dupes clause is enabled.

Turtwig is probably the best choice against her with Bite but I could see a case for any of them. I also reset for an even ID since Cranidos is probably getting OHKO'd. Shieldon is walled by ghosts but it might manage to get a Swagger in if I'm really desperate.

Let's see how this goes.

I also reset for a nature that didn't lower Attack or Special Defense (2 resets, for those wondering). I'm pretty sure these IVs are bad but even I don't have the autism to keep resetting. ...I won't talk about IVs any more after this but I reserve the right to complain about natures.
>>
>>58445160
You're not bad, it's just Platinum lacking in encounters until after Fantina. Last time I ran Platinum I used Luxio to set up +6 Charge on Duskull, a good thing too since Psybeam got a Sp. Def drop like three or four times.

Randomizer Random Ability Volt White 2 Redux anon back. Just did the final Team Plasma gauntlet.

Zinzlin Ice battle, Corless, Shadow Triad triple and Rotation battles all went smoothly. My Krookodile OHKO'd Kyurem-W with Close combat. But HOLY FUCK. The AI cheated like I've never seen before in the fight with Ghetsis.

>Open with Krookodile Crunching Cofagrigus
>AI sends out Machamp to No Guard Dynamic Punch
>Switch to Illusion Golurk disguised as Ursaring
>Machamp Spams dynamic punches while Golurk Metrenome boosts drain punch up
>Ai then sends out....... GENESECT?
>Genesect gets download boost
>Uses ICE BEAM to leave Golurk with 50% HP?
The fucking AI somehow thought that Ice beam would be the best move to use against Ursaring?
Had to pivot and get Flareon in to 2 hit KO it through sash and then sack Ursaring to Gyrados so Flygon could come in clean.

An unfortunate loss, but thankfully not a big one. Serene Grace Ursaring wasn't gonna be of much use when it can't even learn Body Slam.

Now for the ruthless Pokemon League that has 4 weather teams and a battle with Lance and my rival at the end before I can game plan for the E4.

Biggest issue I have now is keeping things within the level cap. I have to be strong enough to deal with the major threats at level 74-76 of all these massively powerful teams without exceeding level 78
>>
>>58447983
>That level difference
Wow. You also have fewer party members than i would think, are you skipping route encounters?

>Perrserker
>Gigantamax Copperajah
Drain Punch oneshots each one.
Kinda funny how Uncle Sam is the only male out of the main squad.

I swap in Kitamura on Flash Cannon.
She also takes a Shadow Ball before getting Toxic Spikes on field.
She then puts down Spikes, as Aegislash uses King's Shield again.
I send Uncle Sam in on Shadow Ball.
He takes another Shadow Ball, then uses Guts Bulldoze for a OHKO.
>Haxorus
Candyfloss in on Outrage. Reflect fades.
Moonblast oneshots and Light Screen fades
>Dragapult
It does big damage with Flamethrower, but falls to a Moonblast.
>Rhyperior
Giga Drain oneshots.
>Rillaboom
Candyfloss Charms it, and it uses Drum Beating
I then send in Tia in on High Horsepower.
The monkey uses Endeavor as I set Light Screen back up.
It uses Endeavor again, takes a High Jump Kick, then succumbs to poison.
>Gigantamax Charizard
I send in Smiss (holding Assault Vest) in on Max Airstream.
Max Overgrowth doesn't actually do too much, and Rock Slide does almost half of Zard's health.
Same happens next turn.
Zard reverts to small Zard as Leon uses a Full Restore, and Rock Slide sends it back down in health.
One final Fire Blast, then it falls to Rock Slide.

Not done there, there's still the Sordward and Shielbert quest and beating Mustard.

Vs Postgame Hop (first battle)
>Dubwool
Kitamura sets up Curse using Recover at times as Dubwool buffs up with Cotton Guard and damages itself with Double-Edge. Eventually, Kitamura is fully buffed up and Dubwool is low enough that a Poison Jab takes it out.
>Snorlax
It gets a High Horsepower in before falling to Zing Zap.
>Cinderace
A Pyro Ball before getting Zing Zapped.
>Pincurchin
It gets a Bubble Beam in before getting Poison Jab'd.
>Cramorant
It uses Dive, letting it get off a Gulp Missile as it gets KO'd by Zing Zap, doing some damage.
>Corviknight

Nuzlocke vs Sordward
>Sirfetch'd
It uses Swords Dance as Uncle Sam Bulks Up.
Another Swords Dance, and Uncle Sam oneshots with a Guts Drain Punch Crit, getting a yellow card.
Considering this thing has Meteor Assault, I really lucked out that it went for double Swords Dance. Probably not leading with Uncle Sam next time...
>Doublade
Two Bulldozes with a Sacred Sword inbetween.
>Golisopod
One Drain Punch does about a third, and the bug hits back with Liquidation.
Another Drain Punch triggers Emergency Exit.
>Bisharp
It Swords Dances only to immediately fall to Drain Punch.
>Golisopod Again
Drain Punch.

>Doublade and Bronzong
I swap in Maude in place of Sam, Dubwool Double-Edges Bronzong before getting KO'd by Extrasensory. Doublade hits Maude pretty hard with Sacred Sword.
I'm not making the best moves honesty, but Hop is about to carry. With Dubwool KO'd, he sends in Cinderace instead.
Cinderace KO's Bronzong with Pyro Ball, Maude puts big damage on Doublade with Crunch, though she gets sent into the red herself with Sacred Sword.
>Doublade and Falinks
I swap Maude out for Smiss, and Cinderace Pyro Balls Doublade. Falinks uses Close Combat... on Smiss, who can't be hit.
>Golisopod(Again) and Falinks
Cinderace Pyroballs Golisopod, leaving Falinks alone. It hits Smiss with Megahorn, and Smiss uses Will-O-Wisp on it(but misses).
>Bisharp and Falinks
I send in Tia in place of Smiss, Cinderace misses a Pyro Ball. Falinks Close Combats Cinderace. Bisharp hits Tia with Night Slash.
Cinderace takes out Bisharp with another Pyro Ball, Tia hits Falinks with High Jump Kick, Falinks KOs Cinderace. Hop sends in Corviknight.
Tia finishes the Falinks with a Trop Kick
>Klinklang
Corviknights Brave Bird does very little, but High Jump Kick gets an easy KO.

Hop being a bud once his Dubwool got knocked out.

>vs Postgame Bede
>Mawile(Intimidate)
Smiss gets Crunched and swaps abilities, then hits an Earthquake.
Another Crunch, then Earthquake gets the KO.
>Gardevoir
I swap in Hungry on Future Sight.
Hungry then gets crit by Psychic, but hits back with Shell Side Arm, oneshotting the Gardevoir.
>Galarian Rapidash
I swap Tia into a Psycho Cut... and she gets hit by Future Sight, bringing her low.
I send in Kitamura on another cut, and begin Cursing+Recovering.
Eventually, a Poison Jab fells the horse.
>Hatterene
It hits a Psychic, then falls to Poison Jab.

I put Psychic back on Hungry for the Sordward fight...
>vs Sordward
>Sirfetch'd
Hungry Quick Draws a Psychic, and Sirfetch'd hits back with Slam. The same thing repeats next turn, just in opposite order.
>Golisopod
I swap Maude in... on Sucker Punch?
Golisopod tries another Sucker Punch, and I hit it with a Crunch.
A third Sucker Punch attempt, and then it falls to Head Smash, and Maude picks up a Moxie boost.
>Doublade
It falls to a single Crunch, giving another Moxie boost.
>Bisharp
Gets an Iron Head in, then falls to High Jump Kick.

>Zamazenta
It gets swept by Conkeldurr's Bulk up Drain Punch shenanigans.

>vs Postgame Hop 2
Just a repeat of the first one, only notable thing is Zamazenta surviving one Zing Zap and falling on the second.

>vs Peony
Uncle Sam sweeps Copperajah and Aggron with Drain Punch, only getting hit by Aggron's Body Press due to Sturdy.
Only Mustard left...

Realizing Kitamura's original nature was actually more beneficial, I use a Lonely Mint to restore it for this final fight...
>Final Battle vs Mustard
>Mienshao
It hits Smiss with a Blaze Kick, then gets Will-O-Wisped.
It kicks Smiss again, and Smiss sets up Rocks.
Another kick, and Smiss takes a Rest, being woken up by his Chesto Berry.
A final kick, and then Mienshao falls to Earthquake(and accumulated Burn damage).
>Luxray
It Crunches Smiss, who Will-O-Wisps it in return.
I then send in Kitamura, who begins to set up with Curse and Recover. By the end, Luxray is doing less damage than the Leftovers can heal...
Poison Jab takes it out.
>Kommo-O
It hits really hard with Clanging Scales, sending Kitamura well into the yellow(I suspect a crit may have KO'd...), but with the defense drop, it has no shot at taking the Poison Jab in return.
>Lycanroc-Midday
It uses Stealth Rock as Kitamura Recovers. Stone Edge doesn't do much, and it falls to Zing Zap.
>Corviknight
It gets a Body Press in, then falls to Zing Zap.
>Gigantamax Urshifu
This one is a bit funny - I'm pretty sure non-Gigantamax Surging Strikes could be threatening since it always crits, but the Gigantamax version has no such threat.

And with that, the run is over.
Didn't expect Pincurchin to become a postgame MVP, but it did. Conkeldurr and Whimsicott put in a lot of work over the game, and Runerigus had some very vital moments, too.
Time for the Diamond run I already did a little headstart on.

They're more fangames than hacks, but Uranium and Infinate Fusion are popular for a reason. Haven't really seen anyone do fakemon hack runs.

Will start the mono type run on Blaze Black2 Redux today. Type will be determined by the mon that will hatch from the egg handed to me on Floccesy Ranch (suggested idea in previous thread).
I would have started sooner but got busy with irl stuff and laughing at "sexual misconduct" allegation of one of the "pro-nuzlocker" Drxx.

And said Diamond run...
>Vs Roark
>Geodude
Makoto uses Focus Energy, takes a Rock Throw.
A Karate Chop Crit oneshots Geodude.
>Cranidos
It tries Pursuit, but gets Karate Chopped.
Roark uses a Potion, which allows another Karate Chop to KO.
>Onix
It gets a Rock Throw in before falling to Low Kick.

I wiped at Roxie.
>Growlithe
>Pidove
>Purrloin
>Lillipup
I didn’t have anything that resists or was immune to poison-type so Whirlipede’s Venoshock 2-shotted everyone on my team. Venoshock is a special move so Growlithe’s Intimidate and Purrloin’s Growl were completely useless. I also don’t have the option to buy X-Sp. Defs because X-items are locked until the late game for some reason. I’m not sure what I could have done differently. It feels like the run is destined to fail unless I get lucky and catch a Magnemite or at the very least a Koffing.

just got out of victory road and I decided I am going with
>infernape
CC, flamethrower, u-turn, mach punch
>garchomp
EQ, crunch, rock slide, dragon claw
>scizor
u-turn, bullet punch, wing attack, swords dane (plan is to SD+BP sweep Cynthia)
>gliscor
dig, ice fang, swords dance, u-turn
>mamoswine
ice shard, ice fang, EQ, (idk yet maybe endeavor or avalanche in case scizor doesn't work)
>azumarrill (huge power)
waterfall, surf, brick break, ice punch
the first four I've had for a long time and mamoswine is one of my favorites
azumarill is new and my only good answer for Rhyperior

probably going to hit E4 tonight or tmw after work

Mars at the Valley Windworks was fairly easily handled by the two Thundercats, who swapped back and forth for Intimidates, a few Leers and Bites.

Or a Riolu that you grind friendship on, but just catching one is rare enough, and maybe you don't like something so cheesy at the literal start of the game.

Today has been awful. First I beat the gym leader Sabrina in which Kadabra managed to take out all of her pokemon. Then I beat Blaine but at a cost, Lapras beat all but one of hid pokemon and was killed by his Arcanine that used a powerful Fire Blast. Kadabra however avenged Lapras. At the Sevii Islands, I caught a Horsea just as another HM Slave but then in a battle against a Cue Ball who had a Weezing, Kadabra missed and Weezing useful Self Destruct killing what is my ace. I think I may be fucked.

RIP Geller.

Zubat is usually kryptonite to Gardenia, and this was no exception.
I just had Orphan Wing Attack relentlessly, through Cherubi's Grass Knot, Turtwig's withdraw and Razor Leaf, and Roserade's Magical Leaf and Stun Spore.
As a side note, I forgot to list it in my rules, but thanks to the lack of dupes clause I'm banning the Gyarados line. Way too easy to just stack the team with them if I want.

Partway through a nuzlocke of Puppet Dance Performance: Shard of Dreams Extended. If any of you haven't played this game before I highly recommend it. It's easily my favorite Pokemon game to date. Its a little bit of a pain in the ass to get going, especially if you don't wanna pay the $30 or whatever for it and the expansion on DLsite, but its definitely worth it.

Just finished the equivalent of the second gym badge and on my way to the Scarlet Devil Mansion for the third. Nazrin has been my MVP so far. Just outspeeds and one shots everything.

>Zubat
One Spark from Wilykit takes it out.
>Skuntank
It uses Smokescreen, then gets Spark'd.
Lion-O in on Night Slash(forgot it had that, could cause actual issues since Intimidate can't hinder it in case of a crit).
It Screeches, but gets Spark'd again, this time causing a Paralysis. It eats the Sitrus Berry.
Wilykit back in on a Poison Gas miss.
Another Spark, and Skuntank uses Poison Gas again.
One final Spark to knock out the skunk.

Riolu is NOT good in a Nuzlocke. I don't care that Lucario is good; Riolu is NOT Lucario.
