Idk if this is obvious or not but I found that if you run to and from the Centrico Plaza entrance to wild zone 20, you can respawn the 2 alphas from there. It's way faster than benching or fast traveling if you're aiming specifically for those 2

I don't think how spawners work is completey understood but I would expect that for Pokémon that have a %chance to spawn (aren't guaranteed to appear) your chances are actually worse if you keep other shinies around. Say an area spawns 10 Pokémon max and 2 of them are shiny. If the area spawns 10 more regardless of shinies then the odds don't change but if only 8 are spawned to fill in the area then your chances of getting a rare spawn are actually worse by keeping them around.

I got what I was looking for so everything here is up for grabs. Vanillite's in a Heal Ball, one of the female Snorunt is in a Dusk Ball, and the Alpha Abomasnow is in a Nest Ball. Everything else is in a Premier Ball.

Area 15 Larvitar hunt, why wouldn't you just use the cafe travel to reset faster?

I found a shiny Hawlucha in my first play through of Y way back in 2013. Entirely random encounter, so it was pretty special. It’s still probably the best looking shiny I’ve come across randomly with no help involved.

Where is the easiest or most reliable area to hunt for an alpha absol? Zone 20 is too unreliable and I can't seem to find one of the absol with the 40% alpha rate.

I've come to the conclusion that the Alpha Steelix in Area 3 can not be hunted.
I've gotten like 7 different Alpha Litleo and Fletchling along with boxes fully of the other various shinies, and this Steelix is not sparkling.
If someone can prove me wrong I'd love to hear it but at this point I give up.

The one time only Alpha Steelix who spawns for the Xerneas quest chain in postgame, you have to catch or beat it and then it'll go away forever.
Odds are it's shinylocked, even if it can be rerolled for different attributes, since it's a story-specific static encounter.

yeah I'm 19 shinies in for alpha Lopunny now. I checked now and at least had a 2nd Fennekin and the first Swablu I've gotten here had one from 6 before.
