I've been playing this Obsidian turbo deck for a while but I don't think I've won a single game that hasn't been a turn 1 scoop. Every game I run into enhanced hammers or the ace spec lock Genesect or I just get one hit by Kangaskhan. I think I'd rather just play the Pidgeot version and if that's the case I'd just play something better. It's a real shame since the gimmick is cool but it feels so flimsy so if you're not winning off the Obsidian then you autolose

It does the same thing as it would in arch but now you don't have to play arch if you don't want to. I took it to a tournament yesterday and it felt good. It's way too inconsistent and it's probably better to just run Carmine/Squawk or another way to dump a ton into the discard and then put them back with Kyogre. The Kyogre is really strong for the deck, 1 water 20x water energy for a single prize can take knockouts on a lot of stage 2s and forces your opponent to have a way to pull Abomasnow back in. Since you kind of need the energy in your deck I think it's a lot riskier to run a buttload than it is in something like Ceruledge where you just kind of throw them in the discard so they're not a problem past the first couple of turns in addition to being draw fuel.In other news, I hit ultra ball and got the hat I thought was a cute little breeder/bug catcher type deal and my disappointment upon putting it on and seeing this fuckface has guaranteed I won't be doing any more of this game until the set comes out. I hate this format.

guys, I bought a booster pack today (scarlet violet journey together), don't know why. Was the first time in over 28 years. I got two "shiny" cards but they are weird, one is shiny only at the "frame" and the other only on the part with the text. Was I scammed? Also since I'm already here, something I was wondering back in the day already, if it's the same booster series, does the picture on the pack matter at all in what cards I get?
