Hard to say. Misty essentially got the freebie treatment and Erika got the premium treatment apropos nothing. Sabrina should've gotten a Halloween alt this year but they cheaped out. Sync Pairs these days are significantly stronger than the stuff we used to get and the game makes a lot more money selling said powercreep pairs than it used to. Misty hasn't had anything remotely modern to prove she can sell.

Generally speaking, in gacha games, you usually pull for either a "Strong" unit or a "Unit I like even if it's not good"
And when they REALLY want to cash they make a pretty unit which ALSO happens to be busted.

My understanding here is that Master Sex does mostly this last thing, where, strong units are also well liked units, you do not see a busted "literally who?" or am I wrong?

Arc Suit Alder is probably the who'est of pairs that I assume are busted in recent memory. The latest 3 anniversary pairs were Irida, Red and Gloria, and of those Irida is the only one that hasn't quite been shilled to oblivion yet. There's quite a bit of repetition in PM.

Gym leaders are usually treated as lower priority compared to MCs and Champions here. Rivals have also been outbidding them for the spotlight pretty often lately too.
This results in the wide pool of gym leaders (and e4 of course) competing with each other for either seasonal events or minor 4* free units, and Mastersex oddly seems committed to pushing Pokefairs and Master Fairs as the specific pairs that you're expected to use for endgame content.

Steven has the most alts and a good chunk of them are pretty mediocre/bad. Anni Steven was a meme despite having Shiny Mega Rayquaza and is only decent after several retrospective buffs. Tyranitar and Aerodactyl fit both, they are draconic and are coded for Dragon Tamer trainer classes in the lodge and egg compatibility. One is pseudo found at Mt.Silver linked to Red and access from Viridian City, but also Gen 2 kaiju perfect for the league members and rival rematches. They can still get a copy each, Kanto trainers are also missing the third starter. I don't understand how almost all mobile games these days don't have an offline free mode just for fun, custom battles against the AI where you choose opponents, stages, etc., without needing points or prizes, just for pure offline fun like it always was.
I'm not a fan of competitive or extreme games at all; I just like to play things I enjoy in a relaxed way and only with my favorites, but everyone has their own preferences.

Even so, they shouldn't forget the pure essence of games beyond competition. In fact, I only play this gacha game. I've tried other Western fighting and racing games, and they're even worse in terms of content and difficulty where the players seems to love so much.

The way PoMa plays out has me wishing there were games similar to this, I heard FF Dissidia Duellum had similar stuff and it seems like they're asking the same company who makes the 3D models for PoMa. I haven't played Genshin, but I know roughly what it's like. I suppose Masters 2 should be something like that: an open world where you can play with all the characters you unlock by exploring and battling with sync pairs in first person. And if they go further, since it's online, they could use that power to encompass all the regions, either by loading them from the servers or/and using generative AI for that, as well as having dynamic conversations with the characters using AI.

If they do that, Masters will stop being just another unimportant and hated gacha game for base fans.

Is Academy Jasmine a big upgrade to Christmas Bugsy? Bug is a really weak type for me (only have Genesect Hilbert and [regular] Adler for non-standard banner DPS) but I've seen what a big difference a solid support can make for tower.
