Fossil tech means you always start with Hitmonchan and are always putting 50 damage on the board as soon as you can attack, plus Gio means they lose a ton of starter pokemon and plus Red means their EX takes a 70 damage hit probably before it can do anything, and then in back they're worrying about the Aerodactyl (or other) being built. And by the time Hitmonchan is dead you can Mars them and just pick up the rest. Although this all has to happen within 6 turns.
