Hey anons! I'm currently shiny hunting dratini in ZA on top of Magenta Sector 9. The place with a bunch of bellsprouts. I see that there is a shiny bellsprout and I"m not sure if I should just catch it or just leave it for now while I continue hunting the dratini. I believe it's better to just leave it there so that the game can roll one less bellsprout shiny. Is that right?
Any tips for hunting the Alpha Mawile on the roof in zone 17? Or is it just bench in the zone in front of the billion lions?

I've been run-ressetting a Dratini spawn near wild zone 10 and so far I've got one of the Staryus in the pond near it to go shiny (I think it's the place where you fight Mega Starmie). There's also a Scraggy on a nearby roof that I try to run-reset as well, because why not.

Thank christ I saved before trying to capture a shiny heracross. If the game changes over to nighttime while the pokemon is in the ball it'll despawn. I also just learned that updating your game won't change whether or not the shiny is still there if you saved beforehand.

>>58573278basically, although it doesn't have to be just alpha's, it can be any species that is aggressive. drillbur are a lot easier to lead to where you want them to go. when you fly in to area 14, the two dirt spawners on the right,you wanna lead the drillbur from there into the back left corner of the area. once the drillbur is there, leave the wild area and save so that it's spawn is set. then put a pin down where the drillbur is at in the corner. run out about 65 meters from where the drillbur is, save and reset. go back to the wild area (don't fly, run) then check the back right corner to see if the dirt patch spawned. if so. save and reload, then fly to the area and boom you have a guaranteed onix spawn and a guaranteed drillbur spawn. you can then repeat this process for the 2nd dirt spawner on the right side for 2 guaranteed onix and 2 guaranteed drillbur spawns that get reset with every fly you do.
Finally done! Now the grind for bottle caps begins...

Teach it Fire Punch, EQ, Extreme Speed, Dragon Rush. This will be good enough to take out most things, even ghosts.>Second; spam bench until the Royale area around city hall - the one south east of area 8 - spawns.>Third; use Dragonite to rape every trainer, position yourself towards the next trainer you see or think they might be. Your war path is the Entrance of the Royale zone, to the back of the building, down the stairs, then holoelevator to the room, then back to the beginning.Do a little bit of experimentation on how you want to optimize that. They've updated things with massive mass outbreaks so it's a lot easier than it was before, but you can't reroll specific outbreaks anymore which was my favorite method back before they patched it.

>>58578346No. The best I’ve found is in the charmander area, you can run up some steps to spawn them all in, then run out of the area and across the street to despawn. The two benches on the ends of the grass both only reach three. The paved area bench, you can run around in a little circle and spawn all six. The bench near the water, you just have to run forward then back to the bench. Middle bench, I don’t think reaches any, but I haven’t tried at all, really. Most of the time I just run up and down on the little path next to the water side bench and spawn/despawn the back row over and over since I don’t want to sit through the time change scene. No clue if bench + spawning the back row is faster than running the path 2x, so I can’t say what’s optimal, only what I prefer.
