Elemental punches + break are going well for me, but maybe I should remove one of them and take EQ. I think I want a Xerneas counter and something that can stand up to chandelure, delphox, etc. Vaporeon would probably be good, but it hasn't got great coverage.

guys about shinies, I was under the impression the game had to be saved (either manually or with auto-save) to keep the shiny in the game, but now I'm hearing the shiny stays regardless of saving? I'm asking this because I'm doing a run in and out method to spawn and despawn, without saving, and I'm not 100% sure if a shiny will stay or not when I run out of range without saving

Mystic Water+Calm Mind Vaporeon is legitimately insane, the sheer amount of people who don't expect it to be able to breach the damage thresholds it does is REALLY high so you get to lame a ton of KOs by third partying with Plus Hydro Pump and get to surprise up close encounters who think you've exhausted your STAB with Surf.
