>>58651545>fixWrong mindset in my opinion. Weakness is a character trait, a tool that has its purpose like any other tool. Often times weak characters are better at other things than battle, or battle in unconventional ways to compensate for their lack of pure power. Ussop and Nami from One Piece as examples. Luffy (the MC) could and did fold Ussop in half with a single punch when they fought, but Ussop still gave Luffy a ton more trouble than other stronger characters because he fought with clever tactics. Nami meanwhile as the navigator is the only reason the group hasn't died 100 times over for various reasons. Both of them are important to the story even though being weak is their schtick.
>>58651545>How would you fix a weak or overlooked character?Kanchome and Folgore are still peak characters to this day tho, not every character needs to be the strongest to be relevant
>>58651545>How would you fix a weak or overlooked character?awaken aurainsert an isekai
>>58651545>How would you fix a weak or overlooked character?Send them to the future where all humans are dead or gone from the planet so now they're the strongest
>>58651545Make them have an incel rage moment to awaken their true power
>>58651693Is this the reason why the MD mc can 2v1 Primal Dialga?
>>58651545Make them realize that they've been shit because of some fundamental 'thing' they weren't getting. Once they get that they end up doing surprisingly well. Like how Joey in Yugioh had only monster cards in his deck at the start of the series. Or how me as a dumbass kid would always evenly raise stat points equally in RPG without realizing that building for a specific strategy was how to succeed.
Looking for a story where a human gets turned into a Pokemon and adopted into a Pokemon family. Any recs?
>>58651545>TQFind something core to that character’s identity and find a way to use that to make them noteworthy.
>>58651545>How would you fix a weak or overlooked character?Depends on the character. Not every character needs to be strong, sometimes they just need to embody what they're meant to be. Bill, as an example, shouldn't be some secret ace trainer that can instantly perceive the Nature and IVs of a Pokemon at a glance just because he was fused with one for a while. That'd be dumb wank. But if, say, he were used in the story as someone who had no battling aptitude, but possessed the know-how and the means to teleport the heroes to safety from an opponent they can't defeat, or lock the villain's Pokemon from access within his PC system, that'd be an application of his skills that makes sense.
