Why is the posing so fucking stuff? Why is the facial expressing the literal exact same across the entire line aside from Charmandar? New Magnezone comes in and assuming theyre staying in (Which is common due to a lot of high retreat cost stuff and end game cards who start active) the opponent has to flip 2 coins to even attack you. One if they stay in with confusion and the other one from Magnezone's effect. Coupled by the strong support Magnezone generally got this expansion and its already cracking tournaments in this expansion on the Japanese side of things.

Yeah thats pretty much the only big way to counter this deck. As not only just Greninja EX, but baby Greninja into Cyrus combo just rapes the coin flip stall if done. Still kind of nice little deck result wise all things considered. Im assuming the ching is there specifically to make the Greninja as drawn out as possible. Still prefer the traditional toolbox Lopunny deck all things considered.

Wow, the fucking Arcesus Heatran with heavy helmet is a fucking menace. New Charmeleon can get it online instantly and it tanks enough for you to get Charizard up. Been running with the OG Charzard EX since you often end up with so much energy excess that the 2 energy discard for 200 damage is really fucking generous. By the time Zard comes out I tend to have 6 energies on it already due to Charmeleon + Flame patches + Heatran just tanking. Heavy Helmet is definitely the sleeper item from last set that I've noticed a lot more people are using this time around. Baby Char is a good baby killer if you open with it, but ideally Heatran is your starter and you go from there. Arceus be damned.

Also I tested this with Stokezard since Stoke has enough retreat costs to use helmet as well. But I found its payoff wasn't good enough. Mega Zard may be better since by the time it comes out you ideally only need 1 shot to kill and the extra HP may come in handy, but I'm too risk averse.

Yes, actually. Guzma has fallen out of style lately due to other supporters feeling more powerful, but because of that people just don't expect it and will happily slap their double leaf capes/rocky helms down turn 1 even when they don't need them yet. Heavy Helm doesn't negate the -20 from Rocky, so it prevents that from countering, and of course popping someone's HP bubble for a KO they thought they could escape is always pleasing. I was thinking of a second Nurse or Copycat but I've surprised myself with how useful Guz has been in testing so he's earned a spot in my brew.
