Being able to get your moves out almost instantly makes them impossible to dodge and lets you kill people before they can get out their own moves. Not to mention you move so fast you can pretty much just run from whatever anyone tries to throw out. Yes you do burn through your mega much faster, but the trade-off is being able to get 5+ kills in that span of time

The amount of times you get requests to "catch x mons" "catch x mons undetected" and "use the recovery window x times" (catch mons after knocking them out) means that you will finish off those quests pretty quickly.It also helps that all of the evos in the base game are available to catch.
