Legends Arceus was a fluke. A good game in a sea of shit, which was swiftly corrected with SV being mediocre, yet better than SwSh, and Legends Z-A undoing everything that made Arceus good. And it takes place in Kalos. That's not a coincidence.

Then Gen 5 was so bad it nearly killed the fledgling franchise, but fortunately they course corrected hard with Gen 6, which gave us the Pokemon Renaissance and started the true Golden Age. SV was majorly below par but they quickly corrected with Z-A and SV aside everything from Gen 6 and after has been infinitely superior to the pre-Renaissance games.
