>Hoppip, Skiploom, and Jumpluff Event Live Now (March 9 - March 24, 2026)
https://www.pokemon.com/us/pokemon-news/play-a-limited-time-event-in-pokemon-pokopia-on-nintendo-switch-2

>F.A.Q

>Can I have more than one world in the same console?
Yes. You can have different saves for each profile. It's not like AC.

>What about cloud saves?
Yes. Unlike every other Pokémon game, this one does support cloud saves.

>Does it feature a real time clock? Can I change the console's date to progress faster?
Yes. There's no downside to moving forward or backward.

>Is my favorite Pokemon in?
List is still being updated https://www.serebii.net/pokemonpokopia/availablepokemon.shtml

>I didn't like ACNH, will I like this one?
Similarities with ACNH end at the UI; game is a lot faster, with more activities and a proper ~40h long story mode. If you've played DQ Builders 2, you know what you're getting into.

>Combat? Breakable tools?
No combat, no breakable tools. There's a stamina system in place, but it's very easy to manage.

I thought this was early purchase exclusive? wtf…
>>
I got through 3,000 ash before realizing how much of the area is clogged up with it. I give up.
>>
Just when I convinced myself to buy it, I saw a Japanese user post a literal castle that they made in-game and it made me not want to buy Pokopia after all because I know I could never create such a thing.
>>
>>59048756
Pewter is basically unsalvageable, I've been fighting the same thing because I just dont have enough room to make pokemon habitats but so much of the map is ash and as far as I can tell theres no sensible layout under that ash either its just a solid block of it like 20 blocks deep.

On a completely totally unrelated note, has anyone discovered a method of destruction faster than graveler?
>>
This game needs ACNH storage.
Fucking around with chests is miserable.

That's clearly Sabrina's Gym. You get Sabrina's outfit and the Gym battle CD there.

Since Celadon was on the leaked map as a DLC area I don't believe any part of it is in Skylands
>>
How does this compare to the Dragon Quest Builder games? Is there some things DQB does better?
>>
I really wish someone had compiled a list of what recipe rewards you get at each environment level in each area, I only need 1 specific type of block and keep leveling up areas im not really ready to mess with yet and then finding out they dont give that block recipe.

How do you get the habitat hints for the hoppip line? I know it involves the new items hoppip sells but idk how to arrange them.

I think they expect you to experiment, it's not that hard to get just randomly putting stuff together.

If you really want to know I can share the answer though

Yes. It's painted wall. Now what.
>>
>>59048876
then why does Sabrina's gym have a Team Rocket lab underneath it? Is Special canon to this game?
Theres still the fact that the buildings on the Gyarados island are Celadon colored, and theres the door there that requires a full pokedex to open which likely leads to the dev room where you get the diploma
>>
>>59049011
the game tells you to go there directly before the mt moon zone so pallet is zone 3 :)
>>

>>
>>59048876
>>59049015
You guys are both being pretty silly, its REALLY obvious from both geography and all the notes that Celadon and Saffron are more or less connected.
The leaks mean NOTHING in regards to what will and wont be in Pokopia, Sword and Shield werent about Dinosaurs but I swear if we saw the leaks we saw now back then people would be claiming dinosaur DLC was still coming to this day.

Skylands is PRIMARILY Saffron, some buildings are shifted around but that means nothing considering all the other weird things in the game done for the sake of gameplay (e.g. the connections to pewter make no sense, nor does the museum's location, also cycling road leads somewhere completely different, and none of the pokemon centers besides Fuchsia are located even remotely where they are in the actual games) Celadon is also represented there as Gyarados' island and nothing more, there was nothing left for them to do with the area and they've clearly exhausted all the obvious ideas you could do for how these areas could have been destroyed and how you would repair them, so Celadon just gets a basic little island there to vaguely nod to it. People are trying to interpret things way too literally.
>>

They aren't Celadon colored, they are just generic grey towers.
Celadon, like all Kanto towns, is an actual color (pale green).

Team Rocket had a presence in Saffron too, they were also making underground bases, like the one in Withered Wasteland (even though there was no Team Rocket base in Fuchsia in the original games)

Rocky Ridge is Pewter
Sparkling Skylands is Saffron

Cerulean I think would be kinda underwhelming.
Lavender would be cool.

Is there a /pkp/ Cloud Island already?

I know it's 4 people, but that's only *at a time*, so other anons can join throughout the day and stuff. Hopefully they increase that cap in the future, probably kept it low to not stress their netcode/servers, but maybe now that the game is a surprise hit they'll be upgrading that.

Anyway, sounds like it could be fun

>>
>>59049429
You'll get a bunch of money at the end of the stamp period depending on how rare your stamps are.
This might not seem that important but as you start to run out of non-daily challenges, money is going to be more scarce.
>>
>>59049436
Rocky Ridge is definitely the worst map. Its got really cool elements but actually trying to set up a satisfying Pokopia town there feels next to impossible.
People with tons of patience to reshape the entire map can probably turn it into something amazing but for the casual to even semi-hardcore player theres not much to do there.

My personal #1 pet peeve with the map though is that the beautiful hot spring waterfall pond thing is too close to the railway and the entire "beachfront" of it just feels annoying cramped, ruining what is otherwise a beautiful vista.
>>
>>59049239
Beach > Wasteland = Skyline > Ridge

I feel like Sky gets better and better the more you work on it, its hard to describe but despite being SO fucked, once you start actually making sense of it and sort out the mess, it starts to turn into one of the best maps.
>>
>>59049462
you need to eat a salad and then create a mossy boulder habitat, which is 4 moss next to a mossy boulder. keep playing the ridge storyline you'll get it, and how to make a burguer after. burger+graveler=insane destruction capabilities
>>
>>59049462
Keep following the Rocky Ridge main story and eventually Machoke will ask you to find a Graveler

The whole point of the map is to set up reststops for your bus/mine-cart route. You'll start to appreciate the map more once you have a plan for each of the different biomes. Just think of each biomes as a future tourist attraction, along with the museum, for your pokemon.

>>59049642
only on dream islands, but that cave has more than enough to make the ice temple
>>59049650
not really, theres 300 total pokemon and you need resources in certain areas to get pokemon to show up so you'll have a ton in every place. You are however fucking up by not advancing and unlocking more mechanics and resources to make your life easier
>>
>>59049642
you have infinite resources from dream islands, you can just skip the date if you don't want to wait for a full day, it's either with the clefairy doll or the dragonite doll
>>
What is the device in the beach town with the 5 lights? Does it reveal after progressing?
>>
>>59049650
A lot of Pokemon are locked to other regions due to regional flowers or different colored grass being required for their habitats

It’s an onahole. You’re supposed to stick your ditto dick in it
>>
>>59049678
>dream islands
Fuck. I don't want to time travel.
>>59049684
It'd probably be the clefairy, since dragonite has mysterious stone and skyland stuff.
>>
>>59049650
no anon play at your own place do whatever you want, all the areas have pokemon exclusive to them (for example, the habitat with 4 grass tiles in the first area spawns different pokemon than the same 4 grass tile habitat in the other areas, because the grass is a different color in each area)

you can also move the pokemon from one area to the other as you wish by making them following you and assigning them to houses or habitats in other areas, so you don't even have to worry about that part
>>
>>59049674
I think it's because of the spawn limit, if you have more mons in houses new ones seem to spawn more frequently.
>>
>>59049721
there's a limit on how many pokemon appear at once in the area but it doesn't affect spawns at all
>>
>>59049636
I sorta figured as much, my main issue with the minecarts is that I never have one on-hand so cant really take advantage of them while moving from place to place because the one I put down is always somewhere else.
>>

>>
>>59049289
I know it technically doesn't matter but the story ending would feel so much worse if your photo was of some random Pokemon and didn't include you, bonus points for including Tangrowth.
>>
>>59049752

>>
>>59049788

you can click on each one and see if it says "Overworld" or "Building with Interior"
>>
>>59049788
>>59049795
I never noticed it but this anon is 100% correct, the ones whose kit is a square logo (you can see the sky above the building in the picture) are overworld buildings, all the others that are just the building icon are pocket spaces
>>
>>59049289
so like how many of the pokemon even have friends/trainers that are still alive that can come home to them? anyone who wasn't a kid or teen is probably dead or very geriatric at this point since Tangrowth is an old man, yeah?
>>
>>59049799
that log cabin kit looks cool as shit, anyone knows where to find it?
>>
>>59049814
The timescale of the whole thing is intentionally kept vague I think. The entire point of the spacesuit is, besides not invalidating your character customization, making it so you cant tell how old the individual is, by keeping everything a bit more open ended it lets people interpret the ending in the way they feel best, without getting wrapped up in iffy logic or unfortunate hard truths.
>>
>>59049819
All of these things unlock with environment level.
>>
Its nice that I can place blocks 9 at a time with magnemite, and the replace functionality speeds up walls and floors a ton since I dont have to dig out an extra layer. but man do I wish there was an easier way to delete blocks above you en masse.

Graveler doesn't work well since it's effected by gravity so you usually have to set up some convoluted trackway to get it started and it still cant destroy the final layer because it can only destroy blocks on the horizontal.
You also can't reach blocks most of the time with rock smash in human form when you need to do something like this,
Magnemite's built in block destroyer ends up being the only option but it's painfully slow.
>>
>>59049840
did you try regular rock smash but using the mouse function with the joycons to see if you like it better? you can click on the blocks to destroy/construct them
>>
>weather disasters that may or may not have been caused by human hubris obliterate the world

>>
>>59049921
>So who are the original earthlings on this crackpot theory, Starmie? Elgyem? Deoxys? Eternatus?
Clefairy, obviously.
Joking aside, what I was actually implying is that humans go through a cycle of fucking things up, running off and hiding, then coming back; the beta image of the Ruins of Alph I posted shows clear images of what can be interpreted as some sort of weather phenomena that obliterated their civilization in the past (images that were replaced with Unown carvings in the final game), and while we never find out what happened to those ancient humans, we know they left behind Pokemon (the Unown and, judging from the text in Crystal, the Regis) who survived long after they were gone. What happened in Pokopia is just a repeat of what happened back then, except we're getting to see the immediate fallout of the event (or close to it) instead of random ruins that have lost their context from the passage of time - we know these areas and what their functions were, and enough information is still intact for us to understand what happened much more clearly.

100% the most dissapointing thing about this game is the hard limit on the amount of Pokemon that can be out at a time
What's the point of completing the pokedex and building a bustling city when it'll barely be full most of the time? If this game is a switch 2 exclusive they should have at least used all the processing power on letting me see all my citizens hanging out
>>
So how do I take Pokémon to another area? Can I quick travel with them or do I need to do it the hard way and walk through the gates with them?
>>
>>59051572
You can quick travel with them, you can also walk through the gates in town, either way.
>>
>>59051454
A lot of people in the Pokemon community struggled with the battles with Pokemon in Legends Arceus, so that's likely the case
>>
>>59051516
Its most definitely a genuine performance issue, even if the Switch 2 is often outperforming the Series S visually, its CPU is still right out of the PS4 generation in terms of power level.
I wish they'd have them a bit more locality based though, e.g. if you're hanging out in one corner of the map it spawns everyone (up to 20) who's home is in that area eventually. Rather than now where I could be in a bustling area but nobody's around because everyone spawned somewhere else.
>>
>>59051629
Yeah that'd be nice. Especially as you fill out more of the really big maps, there's no need for it to render mons another island for instance so it should reward you for expanding homes by letting you always see who's nearest
>>
>>59051629
Yea, I know some people probably would have complained if pokemon got loaded out when they were far away since it can break immersion sometimes but it would have been a worthy trade if it meant more of them could be out and about.

Is there enough to do in Pokopia to play for hours every day or is content locked behind waiting real-life time like in Animal Crossing New Horizons?
>>
>>59051754
both at the same time. lategame you get a helper who can make time-gated building projects take an hour instead of "till tomorrow"
>>
>>59051754
There's some buildings that requiring real time waiting to make but there's also enough content that you could even beat the entire game in one big play session if you were committed. Its not like AC where there's only like an hour tops to play a day you can easily just keep playing things aren't all that limited and the limits that exist don't really ever get in your way.
>>
>>59051754
There are time gated building mechanics like a large home or pokecenter reconstruction will take an entire day, but they can be drastically reduced down to just an hour with certain Pokemon leading the construction
Or you can just cheat and time travel by changing your system clock
There's definitely a lot to do to fill that time though. To compare to animal crossing you essentially have 5 towns/islands. When you're waiting for something to get finished building in one area you can go work on one of the other 4 areas. Or just keep working on terraforming the one you're waiting on.
Ultimately the amount of playtime you'll get out of this game boils down to how much you like building towns and trying to collect all 300 pokemon and putting them in a home.
>>

>Only like 20 are loaded in
>5 zones
Wow that sounds like it's gonna suck to hang out with your favs near the end.
Can you force a Mon to spawn in or are you just gonna be at the whim of the game deciding whoever is around currently?
>>
>>59051798
Well you can build house kits that make houses that act as their own loading zones. If the game didn't pick a pokemon to appear outside if they have one of these houses then they'll always be in there so you can just go in and bring them out yourself
>>
>>59051798
If you use honey at a pokemon's home they will spawn in. If their home is one of the instanced ones then they will always be found inside and you can bring them out. Idk if that means one of the others despawns
>>
>>59051798
I'm not sure actually, that's one of the things I'm miffed about too.
There are two types of homes in this games. There are dens that are separate maps that you have to load into and there are blocky houses you can build minecraft style that register as homes. I'm wondering if you can shove all the mons you don't care about into dens then just keep all your favorites in blocky loaded in homes. Haven't tested it though, I'm still just powering through the story.
>>
>>59051805
It does, if you're already at the load limit then one will despawn to make room for who you called for. Watched it happen to poor Magikarp right before my very eyes when I wanted to check in on Slowpoke for something.
>>

Houses provide an immediate boost to overall comfort value on a per-Pokemon basis, and if you lump together a bunch of mons with shared preferences it's easy to get them all up to Awesome rating, which in turn makes reaching a high environment level a breeze.
It's specifically that "putting multiple in the same place" quality that makes houses so valuable for efficiency, whether that be prefabs or on-map houses, plus grouping mons into a house means you can get higher efficiency out of honey summoning since one honey can summon multiple Pokemon all at once if you use it at a fully occupied house.

That's PR talk, otherwise Kanto as seen in Pokopia would've been based on FRLG's depiction of the region since it's the "ultimate version of Kanto".
Instead, Fuchsia is full of red tiles and Vermilion/Saffron are full of yellow tiles, just like they were depicted in LGPE.
Kanto's overall in a weird position where LGPE is the definitive version of how the region and its characters appear, but it isn't the definitive version narratively because it's an isekai AU where (You), the player, are thrust into Red's shoes while Red and Blue are sidelined to have went on their journey earlier than intended, thus allowing (You) to be the one who dismantles Team Rocket and shames Giovanni into fleeing and hiding.

Alternate continuity that still derives from the prime continuity, set an unknowable amount of time in the future (long enough for Professor Tangrowth to start whiting from old age, but not long enough for Ditto's trainer to die of old age). What exactly happened to fuck up Pokopia's world is vague, but the fact they don't directly namedrop any specific region or group in the Hacker's Confession series of notes, as well as the fact the phenomenon is noted to be extremely out of control natural disasters, has people speculating that Pokopia is the result of a Bad End version of WW's story.

Pokopia is the far past where Ditto became the proto human that eventually evolved into the humans that filled out the various pokemon games, hence why humans were considered pokémon in some stories. Space humans left the planet and eventually arrived at a pale blue planet around a yellow sun, became real life humans that had to start over from scratch and eventually evolved enough to make a game based off of their forgotten memories of their once treasured companions.

Bleak beach or dream islands.

>Why just so far ahead?
Professor's diary series of notes, which basically serve as Professor Tangrowth's backstory. The first entry says the writer (basically Oak in all but name) met a young Tangela. Further notes naturally lead up to context clues that this Tangela would mature into the Professor Tangrowth we know (as well as WHY P.T is an old fucker while all the other mons still appear to be in their prime, since P.T actually fled before it could be put into digital storage).
And if Oak met P.T while it was young, then it offers a clear idea that a long period of time has passed between humanity fleeing the planet and Ditto being freed from digital stasis for P.T to be turning white from age.
>Maybe it's just the bad end of RSE/ORAS? We already have a catastrophic weather event between Groudon v Kyogre.
The reason they had you meet Kyogre as your first Legendary/Mythical was specifically to inform series veterans that they had nothing to do with the setup for Pokopia's world. Kyogre outright tells you that it didn't get involved because it would have added to the chaos by doing so, thus it fled to the ocean depths to go dormant until the rain falling onto a desolate wasteland caught Kyogre's attention and gave it a reason to resurface.

I have all the birds and owls on the area behind the camera there too, directly above the built in area with the first crafting table

What is a faster method
To magnemite up then dragonite across
Or magnemite the whole way

>Maybe it's just the bad end of RSE/ORAS? We already have a catastrophic weather event between Groudon v Kyogre.
but Kyogre is just big chillin' in this game so I don't think he's involved.
>>
>said no to 3 offers to play hide and seek as I was busy
>now they all think I'm no fun and won't ask to play anymore

It's over...
>>
>>59052298
It wasn't getting him to Tangrowth, it was talking to them again so Bulbasaur's and Squirtle's quests appear
>>
>>59052412
Is the translation as shit as it seems
>>
>>59052412
The southern thing was just them trying to come up with a way to make Kyogre sound like a sorta chill old man, which is what the japanese is more akin to.
>>
>>59052412
Is it so wrong to want pokemon to talk like cowboys?
>>
>>59052623
The translation is unironically the worst part of this game, every other pokemon has the 'yo' personality
>>
>>59052623
No, because most pokemon in japanese talk in stereotypical japanese dialects and uses weird pronouns. You can't translate that over to english.
>>
What's the best method to get 50/50 electricity for the team rocket tower thing? I put a water wheel nearby, attached a utility pole and it's only gone up to 20/50. Will putting one of those wood burning generators nearby get me to 50?
>>
What are you guys doing with your ugly Pokemon? Personally, I put their house in a cramped cave with nothing but a bed, stool, and table.
>>
>>59052713
Furnace gives 30.

Has anyone figured out what makes pokemon traces spawn?
I'm at the end-endgame just (20-odd habs left), and I've noticed new pokemon traces are never anywhere when I "log in" even if I skip a day, only after multiple hours of play.
Has anyone else noticed this? Am I imagining it?

Dunno where to get more aside the daily few from the dream island
>>
>>59052713
I just hooked it up to the water wheels and windmill in the back
You need to do that piplup quest in vermillion to be able to move water to the wheels though
>>
>>59052718
>>59052747
Thanks, I'll do the furnace then
>>
Is Sylveon in Pokopia?
>>
>>59052756
You think they wouldn't put the eevees in

>fully evo'd female mons call you sweetie and dear

whoa..this isn't just a farm sim. its a haram sim
I will now make houses for just wives or a wife and child.

>haram
i meant harem. goddamn. politics living rent free
>>
>>59052759
How do I help Eevee then? Eeveelution habitats how?
>>
>>59052876
In pallet, look at your challenges. There's some with the special items you need to summon them.
>>
What did I do wrong here? I freed the water from the wall, it seems clear it's supposed to flow into the pre-made groove to make a most around the house but instead it disappears into the ground
What gives?
>>
>>59052883
you didn't do anything wrong
You get the ability to move and freely place water after you complete that area, Piplup will give you a request that unlocks it
>>
>>59052878
I tried getting the ribbon cake for Sylveon but Pokemon just refuse to appear in my habitats...
>>
>>59052888
You made a habitat out of it right? Needs a table and a chair I think (can probably double check in the habitat info)
If so then they'll just appear eventually
>>
>>59052902
No I know that but I can't get the ribbon cake yet... I need 10 Pokemon and its been like, 5 hours and none have appeared in any of my habitats.
>>
>>59052886
Thanks anon
>>
>>59052793
Only one of each pokemon and most of the evo lines are single gender, and guess who's the only pokemon that can breed with anything? It's a last man on earth scenario except it's with Pokemon.
>>
>>59052623
>>59052412
the spanish translation has a pokemon saying "ate" and yasssss in the same way gay sissies talk
>>
>>59052910
That doesn't make any sense unless you are mistaking a full habitat for an empty one, or you've only built habs that you already have all the pokemon for. Anyway, try using a star piece to spawn one at an empty habitat

Is there a way to pick up a demolish kit after it's been put down?

Aside from any that might be lying around somewhere, or copies you can photo print, unfortunately it's one of those RNG recipes you'll randomly get from sparkling water.
>>
>>59052239
Around at least a century after the events of the mainline games as a possible distant future.
>>
>>59053306
Nah, that's being incredibly generous. We know Ditto's trainer is still alive and able-bodied thanks to the credits sequence, and assuming she was 10-16 at the time of humanity's evacuation, someone that's lived to be 100+ years old in that kind of condition is a very tall ask even by Pokemon's standards, especially for a humanity that's currently out living and surviving in space and no longer has access to any miraculous bullshit from Pokemon or the Pokemon world's resources.
40-60 years seems like a more believable range to bet on, long enough for her to grow old but not so long that she shouldn't be able to take care of herself.
>>
>>59052359
The cause of the Natural Disaster Cascade was kept vague on purpose so that the past events won't have anything to do with it (to the point that neither Pokémon nor Humans were a caused it and nobody knows (or ever will know) why it happened to begin with).
>>
Is there any reason to use any other power source other than watermill?
>>
>>59052438
I said after the events of the mainline games, not after the NDC that caused humanity to be stranded in space.
>>
>>59053329
Still, weather-based disasters being the inciting incident is very suspect when we knew WW was considering weather-based gimmicks during development thanks to the teraleak.
And technically speaking, a Pokemon WOULD have caused it even if it wasn't related to any WW characters or Pokemon. The Pokemon multiverse is preordained by Arceus (its plan to unite people and Pokemon in Hisui required a human from the future in which people and Pokemon were already united and the world wasn't torn asunder by Volo's god complex schizophrenia misleading Giratina into doing something fucking retarded), and the culprit is Arceus by nature of allowing the world to move in the direction it did for the Natural Disaster Cascade to happen despite the NDC and humanity's plan for it being completely and utterly antithetical to all it stands for as a God who wants humans and Pokemon to coexist in harmony.
>>
>>59053350
>Arceus by nature of allowing the world to move in the direction it did
Did you just blame god for not stopping a natural disaster?
>>
>>59053368
When it's a God that values coexistence between humans and Pokemon above all else, and has also preordained its universe to the point where it can confidently pull from a future that has yet to cement itself in order to set up the events to cement that future, yes.
The NDC serves no benefit to the harmony of people and Pokemon, it only serves to isolate them from each other for multiple decades. And since the world hadn't shown any ugly colors that humanity was losing its way (again, neither mon nor human were at fault for the cataclysm), it's not like humanity needed a lesson to get them back on track.
God willingly put its subjects through separation and suffering for seemingly no apparent reason, despite everything in its preordained plan being perfectly fine from what we could gather of the pre-disaster Pokopia world.
>>
>>59053350
The thing is that they kept both vague and far removed from the events that no Pokémon nor organization were the cause so that there's no need to point fingers in future entries in regards the disaster. It would be hypocritical, especially when the whole theme of Pokémon is the unity of Man and Mon. Though if you wanted an explanation: it could be that they caught in a million year cycle where the planet went into a decade long fit before it calms down.
