Just finished the main Hoenn arc (gyms, contests, Grand Festival, Hoenn League).Tbh it was a hard watch, the episodes were mostly boring. It was a slog to get through it.Does it get better in the Battle Frontier arc? Or is the the same, or worse?

>>59091127I do watch the Liko anime. I like it. Haven't seen the latest arc (dub), will do when I find a decent stretch of free time. In fact perhaps I like it more on an episode-average basis than the Ashnime, seeing as the quality of Hoenn and late Johto dropped. But it also doesn't match the highs of the first season (context probably matters a lot here, I was a kid, but wow that first season was magic.) But to me it's a completely different anime to the Ashnime. I don't even think about it as related. I am the one who started /ptsd/ (someone else coined that name, my inaugural threads were called /ash/nime general) because I can tell you guys in this general pretty much only talk about the Likonime, and I wanted to respect that, respect your space, and create a separate space so as to not shit this general up with threads swimming against the grain. But for some reason that failed (I don't know why, I'm not a /vp/ regular), so I have to intrude on your Likonime talk with questions about seasons from 20-25 years ago.I suppose the Battle Frontier would be less boring filler eps, more action and story driven? I guess it will depend on how good the battles are, and how annoying Team Rocket are. TR were really funny in Johto, I appreciated them butting in to every episode there, but they became such drag in Hoenn.
