Pls help me improve my sand team.I don't want to just blindly meta slave.I just got my ass handed to by incineroar and kommo-o
>>59272546Swap Excadrill for Lycanroc. It's been such a massive improvement for me doing that alone. Psychic Fangs to OHKO Sneasler, Rock Slide cuz good and Close Combat for everything that needs a beating, and protect of course.
>use calm mind on Floette to bait sableeye into encore>switch in Farig>opponent rage afksFunny as hell
>>59272551Do you run dusk mane for tough claws damage boost or day form for the speed 2 extra points of speed and sand rush?
>>59272569I've got the Sand Rush one.
>>59272546Just copy Joe Ugarte's sand team from last season.>I don't want to just blindly meta slave. Why not? Either your goal is to win, in which case you should use the best Pokemon and builds, or your goal is to be creative and have fun if which case no "improvements" suggested to you will actually improve the team.
>>59272546Does chople really come up really that often, you still have a focus sash available and protects you from getting nuked down by other type attacks as well.
>>59272551If you're going to use Lycanroc Focus Sash Endure Endeavor is better. You can drop things to 1HP then sand chip finishes them off. It also means you don't worry about burn or intimidate because you're still dealing fixed damage.
>>59272591Endeavour's an interesting one that I hadn't really thought about at all honestly, though most of the time I'm aiming to kill them before they get to do their own attack and Endeavour + chip doesn't really help with that.
>The anti-TR Volcarona team was so successful that it managed to beat a TR team that brought both Farigiraf AND MimkyuThat felt fucking good. Just that delay from killing the giraffe T1 was enough, even with them getting the TR off from Mimikyu the next turn. That team does look scary though and I think we'll be seeing a lot more of it in the coming weeks.
>>59272618Team? Please? I am struggling so much.
>>59272662I wasn't OHKOing the giraffe enough (I think the calcs said it's like a 70% chance without the Bug boost item) so that's why I got the Silver Powder going. Likewise the Ice Fangs on Aerodactyl weren't killing Garchomps fast enough for me either. There's still some games that they don't, but pairing the Ice Fang with a Rock Slide does the job. I was finding that the most important turns by far with this team were Turns 1 and 2 and so I just went gung-ho into making sure they had the lowest % chance to fail as possible. Shit just works. Basculegion is almost always a pick btw. It's your clean up crew.
>>59272678Swift swim paired with sand, sun and tailwind seems like a choice.
I'm tired boss...
>>59272685It doesn't come up a ton but it's relevant enough for cleaning up a rain team with Last Respects that I just keep it. I just like having lots of different ways of playing with speed too. Sunny Day's just a disruptor for rain teams too, that's the only time it gets clicked really. Give the team a try, you'll be surprised how nice it feels.
>>59272678Thanks, that's a lot of weather hate but it looks solid. Really curious about how that Lycanroc performs. I assume Accelrock is too niche even with all the Charizards running around but Psychic Fangs is dirty.
>>59272748Lycanroc is comfortably the MVP of the team. Comfortably. Nobody ever plays around it being sashed either.
