I basically never click aurora veil on the lass. Thinking about just slapping t bolt or some shit in its place, maybe taunt or nasty plot
Shit Game
>>59277635Taunt can be absurdly good especially when it's unexpected, though I don't know about running it on your sort of frail mega if that's the main attacker on your team. Coild be worth trying out though, sometimes taunt is a legit free win.
>>59277635setup moves on megas are all a wasteyou have a big dumb hard hitter so you'd have to be retarded wasting time not hitting hard while it's alive
>she has VGC in her trainer name
>>59277723>[username]BSS
Paradoxes when? Zard Y and the Mega that luckily gets Electric Surge gonna love them!
how is incin not banned for like a decade already?
>>59277718If you know they are gonna protect and switch, set up is a way to punish that. It's not useless at all wtf
>>59277775Maybe one of the Raichu megas? Other wise, there's always Tapu Koko.
>Clefable doesn't have Metronome in Champions, in fact nothing learns it hereThis seems like a case of them being too lazy to program it rather than for balancing
>>59277818Incin isn't even good in the meta right now. Everyone adapted to it and now are loaded up with special attackers, milo or gambit, or just rain.
>>59277835You're describing why it should be banned btw you dumb cunt
>>59277839Yes, it should be banned because it has obvious counterplay. That makes sense. Baboon.
>>59277848You just described how one Pokemon has warped the ENTIRE META around it and thought this was proof it isn't broken lmao spasticated cunt
>>59277853remember to rest and stay hydrated
>>59277858remember to hang yourself
>>59277853>ban Incin>everyone still uses Basculegion because it never cared>everyone still uses Kinggambit to one shot Basc in end game>everyone still uses Sneasler to one shot Kinggambit>Zard Y doesn’t careIncin is so irrelevant atm lol
>>59277879I'm legitimately amazed by how stupid you are lol
>>59277861Nigga you dumb af
>>59277885You are too dumb to live. End yourself.
>Lose two mons in two turns because im playing like shit>still win because ceruledge just hard walls the opponentPhew, dodged a bullet there.
>>59277890Turn your monitor on
>>59277894I wouldn't be able to reply to your posts if my monitor wasn't already on, thus you've only reinforced the fact that you're too dumb to live.
>Fairy Hood: Heals 1/4 from Fairy moves, Normal moves become Fairy typeMega Scrafty looking good
>>59277901did they leak the new mega abilities or something
>>59277901where dis?
Man, Encore is such a mean move.>did I see you do a non-attack move? now do that again 3 times! It's fucking mean when you can't even Protect
>>59277921to be fair, punching your opponent in the face is also pretty mean. After seeing the absolute hellish world that is Imprison, I would say that is probably the meanest move in the game>oh did you happen to want to click trick room, protect or hyper voice?>Im sorry, that is just not acceptable now, sowwy>i can click protect though, thanks for asking :)
Kelsch is undefeated day 1 at Utrecht.
>>59277927So Indeedee mirror is just who presses Imprison first?
>>59277901>turning a 4x weakness into immunityNah, that's too farfetched
The work to make this team perfect continues. We're onto Mega Scizor now in what used to be the Aerodactyl slot, as we were struggling with Fairies and Dragons. The biggest issue now is Incineroar, since we're almost completely physical attackers. It's not unbeatable by any means, but it's definitely an uphill battle.
>>59277958>swift swim>with no rainjust use adaptability. Youd speed tie with opposing basculegions anyways, might as well hit harder against everything else by changing abilities
>>59277971I've won way too many games against rain teams because of it. Originally it was just because I was too lazy to change it, but it turned out to matter way more often than I expected. I'll switch it out for like 10-20 games and see how much of a difference it makes, I suppose there's no harm in that.
>>59277936Good job anon
>>59277936It's his year for sure. No more Amoonguss to BTFO him this time
Is Mega Sco+Kommo a thing? I’ve tried to use Kommo a few times but can’t seem to figure it out seem weak to many things
>>59277981If you use jolly adaptability, you'll outspeed the majority of enemy fish anyways and hit harder as well. Even on rain teams they mostly run adaptability, so you'll be alright as long as they don't put up tailwind. Hell even the non choice scarfed ones on rain normally run adaptability.
>>59277882Seethe more, nobody cares or play around incin. It's 2026.
>>59278096There's been periods before where incin has "fallen off". He always comes back, just as bullshit as ever.Enjoy the holiday while it lasts
>>59278096You are not smart.
I haven't visited my wife Tatora in weeks
>>59278119These things are cyclical, that's why it's a metagame. People will do different stuff to try to counter the meta, and eventually that will be weak to incin again and he'll come back because he's a strong tool. Then people will adapt again and he'll be out of fashion again. For now though, feel free to use him if you want to get stomped by milotic + fish or rain.
Everyone is too good this season game is fucking annoying now
>>59278136I am taking care of her, don't worry
>>59277908It looks like someone just skill swapped pixilate onto a fake out user lol.
Mega Scovillain is some secret sauce threw it on my team and jumped 200 elo
>wanted to replace last season's team with some new mons>can't find my old team's sheet so going to have to reimport them to find the evsArggghhh
>>59278707The meta has a lot of physical attackers right now.
>>59278760The fall of Incineroar must be studied
>>59277936Increasingly nervous man: surely this time...
>>59278765Its not that interesting of a studyIntimidate plays poorly into kinggambit, milotic and to a lesser extent white herb sneasler.Burns don't.
>>59278769As someone who used and will probably continue to use incin: those downsides are a good thing in a bo1. You seen KG and Milotic? Guess who isn't coming. Suddenly both of those are way less dangerous and easier to handle than whatever else they could have brought. You don't need fake out every game. Even against sneasler, sometimes it's fine to bring incin and switch it in an put a few times to make the sneasler hit like a wet noodle or bait a cc into a ghost you switch to. Sneasler deals not great damage into a lot of stuff if it isn't going for the super effective move. A lot of incin's problems, at least how I see it is related to people just wanting to click parting instead of hard switching and getting slapped or thinking cycling intimidate is somehow worse than dealing damage with it (not to say the attack heavy ones aren't good in some match ups).
this is your daily reminder that archaludon needs banned
>taunt obvious trick room setter>mental herb>three misses in a row>the target also had quick claw, which proc'd twice. Eliminating the possibility of bright powder.>they crit twice I swap over from my tryhard team to my mono bug team and winstreak. I'm just not even going to bother taking this shit seriously anymore and just enjoy the piles of dead Tardzards who get Kleavor'd or Stealth Rock'd.
I'm on my way to getting Eternal Floette. I only need 8 more wins. I didn't even look up the requirement until after I got Zygarde. That's kinda crazy that they hide it behind so many Infinite Z-A cycles.
That cancerous Mega Scovillain Garchomp team is pretty fucking cancerous huh? Hope whoever made that dies.
>>59278904At least there's no Sableye
>>59278912It runs Sableye for screens, dummy.
>>59278904What’s the team?
>>59278247all the normies left
>>59278946We haven't gotten the true normie crowd yet. That comes with the mobile release.
>Zangoose and Wigglytuff get Fake Out in ZAWill this even do anything with sneed around when they get added?
>>59278883bwo just use the trade bots.i didnt even bother, i think i only did a couple of infinite zas and decided this isnt worth wasting my time
God Charizard feels so dogshit to play compared to delphox. I tried Charizard instead of my usual delphox literally no top teams are running delphox, they all run zard. You are 1. Completely reliant on having weather control2. Have to play around the plethora of rockslides that come out against you.3. Rely on tailwind to be able to play the game. Delphox hits just as hard as this nigger but you can still actually play the game without weather or tailwind. There is barely anything that resists both heatwave and psychic>Oh but but all the one shots from dark and ghost from meta mons!!pretending like Charizard doesn't get one shot by rockslide meta mons. I don't get why it's so overwhelmingly popular.
>>59279323>I don't get why it's so overwhelmingly popular.Because it's fucking Charizard.
Shitposting while lazily going through the motions fighting a botGreat game
>>59279323>delphox hits just as hardThat's wrong, zard is far harder hitting. It's both weather disruption against your opponent and a crazy strong threat in one. You're not supposed to just send it out first and try heat waving everything. Zard hangs as an every present threat where the opponent has to keep his weather alive and play accordingly to that or he's probably getting fucked, and the zard player takes advantage of that by sending out his fish and aero or whatever first and applying pressure.
>>59279323The non-STAB rockslides do not ohko Zards. They're built different.
>>59279380they have the exact same spa stat>muh sunagain, delphox gets the same bonus in sun and gets a stab psychic without. It also gets calm mind if you want to go that route to put out even more damage than zard can. If you don't have weather control for whatever reason zard is dead weight.>>59279441yes they fucking do, even to the bulky defense EV zards get fucking one shot by garchomp on a damage roll, do you even play zard?
>>59279516>gain, delphox gets the same bonus in sun and gets a stab psychic without. It also gets calm mind if you want to go that route to put out even more damage than zard can.Not him, but surely you see the difference between Delphox and Zard here when you write it down like this, right? Zard sets weather by itself and has no need for a partner Torkoal to start clicking Heat Wave mindlessly. Delphox either needs a CM boost which takes a turn or prior weather set-up just to get as strong as Zard Y is at base.
>>59279516No they don't, anon.Go calc it. They can survive guaranteed.
I have a very serious issue that I will call "smogonbrain", every single match I get into against a person using charizard my brain just goes "ok this is a retarded little kid no need to take this seriously" because I just completely forget charizard is an actual meta pokemon and not just noob bait like in singles and then I lose
>>59279551Don't worry Tatora anon, you'll get over that mental block eventually. Especially whenever Dynamax gets added.
>>59279556I just lost because some fucker went fake tears + solar beam on my stunfisk followed by actually doing the smart play and switching out charizard instead of just keeping it on the field like a 10 year old, I'm giving up on even trying to get to masterball I'll just keep playing for fun opponent's team also had 2 different trickroom counters in encore whimsicott and farigiraf, fuck my cuck life, I want Kyogre to be added so I can just spam waterspout, or at least seaking so i can make a funny lightingrod seaking + pelipper entry
>>59279551Just use a rain team that's always strong. I would like the source for your image.
How the hell was Incin still used on every team back in Gen 8 despite losing Knock Off? I'm still confused about it.
>>59279563Parting Shot is a helluva drug.
I'm seeing cofagrigus every game. did that faggot cybertron upload a team with him or something?
>Just outplayed someone so hard I legit feel bad for themProps to you for not surrendering with only a Tsareena left against my Emboar/Farig, JolteonLove.
I’m losing to actual meme shit like psych up chimecho Christ sake this game is frustrating
>>59279563I didn't see him much towards the end of last season. Everyone was just running Sneasler as their fake out mon.
>>59279584I have noticed usually 10 pm is the worst time to play
>>59279562https://gelbooru.com/index.php?page=post&s=view&id=4138269&tags=acerola_%28pokemon%29+crying
>>59279633Thanks anon
>>59279574His newest vid is about a trick room team but it doesn't have coFAGrigus on it
>>59279203People keep saying this, but I'm not sold yet. Who doesn't have a Switch but likes and plays Pokemon? Who isn't into competitive now but will be when there's a mobile game. I just don't see who the mobile release is even for beyond people who already play the game on their Switches and now can just play on their phones at work.
>>59279703Where you not alive when GO came out?
>>59279705Yes I was. I'm 39 and I've been playing VGC since 2010. Pokemon GO didn't affect the number of VGC players at all. In fact I'm pretty sure it didn't even affect game sales much either. XY sold like 16M units and SM sold like 16.5M. There is not this mysterious massive audience of people out there that want to play Pokemon but don't yet; the market is saturated. The people that want to play, are playing. Nintendo is already doing a very good job of onboarding kids into the Pokemon ecosystem at a young age. My oldest son learned about Pokemon from the tv show before he even knew it was a video game, and my two younger sons learned about Pokemon from him. People are either getting into Pokemon at five or six and eventually getting into competitive when they go to play online, or it doesn't interest them. It being on a phone won't change that.
Tried making a Round team on showdown to try it out later on championsdoes not work, absurd how shit of a move Round is
>>59279703>>59279720I like pokemon and the only reason I'm using my retarded switch for the first time in 5 years is because of this game, I emulated every other release on my computer and I'd play champions 100x more if I could easily access it on my phone
>>59279720woa 16 years of vgc you must be a god at this game
>>59279720Nobody was getting into VGC because it was way too much effort before Champions came along. It doesn't matter if it's the most popular IP on the planet if the mainline games expect you to grind for hundreds of hours just to get started in pvp.
>>59279742If it was just playing online then borrowing a team was less effort than it is now.
>>59279536no you go calc it for any reasonable spread that players actually use, you need basically full hp/def to guarantee it which nobody is running.
>>59279742Champions has not made VGC more accessible, but it has made it more available.Pokemon is a game that requires an incredible amount of foundational knowledge to really understand what is going on. The barrier to entry into VGC wasn't the EVs or IVs, it's the difficulty of memorizing all this information.
>>59279720Nobody asked for your life story. If you genuinely think the mobile release of Champions won't have a massive effect on the playerbase then you are just retarded. GO was the biggest game in the world during it's launch year and Pocket is one of the most profitable mobile games on the market. Pokemon on mobile is a HUGE deal.
>>59279758You need 20HP and 22Def.People run modest with a little bit of SpAtk investment and some speed.Zards are surviving both Adamant +32 Chomp and Adamant +32 Excadrill's rock slides. You do the calcs faggot, I already did them.
>>59279720You need to understand that the main playerbase isn't "privileged americans that own switches" but instead "third worlders emulating fire red leaf green on their phones"
>>59279767>The barrier to entry into VGC wasn't the EVs or IVsIt absolutely was a huge barrier to entry, especially prior to gen 8. You couldn't even begin to learn the relevant info for competitive until you can actually start playing.>complete the campaign>complete any relevant post game content>catch/breed/trade the pokemon you need for your team>if you need 0 IVs in a stat that is an entirely new nightmare to farm>farm TMs>farm money to buy vitamins>farm bottlecaps to max IVs>teach egg moves>use ability patch/capsule for the correct abilityThen finally after ALL THIS BULLSHIT you've created a single team and can finally start playing vs other players. Meanwhile any other pvp game simply has you press "play" without needing hours upon hours of boring grinding.
>>59279772nigger i played with a copy pasted bulky charizard that people are using it hasn't survived a single rockslide. Charizard is on fraud watch, you are all wrong and i will be proven correct in time. You all laughed at me when i said sylveon shits on floette but nobody is laughing now, you will see people start to run delphox because it shits on charizard.
Managed to luck my way into a 7 game winstreak with the goobs. People made fun of Mold Breaker, but it's actually super legit on Emboar. Won two games against a Tsareena protecting a Mega-Lopunny and a Farig guarding an Azumarill because of MB letting me Sucker Punch freely. >>59279560Some games just aren't meant to be yours, anon, it's just how it is. The season just started, so don't count yourself out of Master ball entirely just yet.
>>59279784Plug my numbers in.Give it a try. Delphox isn't on top teams, there's a reason Zard Y is. You're not winning VR tournies or GCs, no one gives a shit what you think.
>>59279784>dude I so called that X was bad/good the whole time!Almost as if the meta changes constantly. Way more Zard counters are running around because it's popular.
>>59279722Key users aren't in here, also it got removed from a few pokemon too.
>muh shiny solgaleo wins every match>hit master ball rank in an afternoon 40+ win streak>return them to home>uninstall and retireI am a pokeman master ama
The ironing of Delphox falling off after week 2 and never recovering while Zard Y has won nearly every big tournament and GC is completely lost on anon. Zard adapted to its counters, "just use rocks bro" has never been a sufficient answer since 2018, where Zard Y enjoyed a lot of success.
>>59279831Can accelrock one tap gamefreak's baby boy
>>59279831Fox will probably be better once Indeedee gets added and Aero isn't as meta.
>>59279841>just use rocks brogenuine retard
>>59279849Does it even benefit from Indeedee? It has Levitate
>>59279876Don't sign your posts
>>59279849They gave Delphox levitate just so it wouldn't be an expanding force spammer.
>>59279877Just the immunity to priority. Though now that I think about it it'd likely be outshined by Armarouge and Mega-Ala in those comps anyway.
>>59279896You don't get any benefits of terrain if you are flying/levitate
>>59279878Whatever you say, dumbass. You're not the first to consider rocks, Zard is still topping tourneys. All those other players thought of that already.
>>59279984Can you reread what I posted and then come back here
>testing out H-Samurott in simgles>first game he takes out Hippowdon and Garchomp by himselfVery noice. Let's see if he can keep this upHate how most of his "sword" attacks like Razor Shell, Ceaseless Edge and Sacred Sword are contact moves though so Rough Skin does chip damage. Are there even any benefit to contact moves at all? Pickpocket and Poison Touch are nothing compared to setting off the opponent's Poison Point, Aftermath, King Shield's debuff, etc
>>59279988You never posted anything intelligible. You were wrong on the calcs and usage of ev spreads. The cool thing about Champions is you can see what ev spreads people are using. 25% are running the 32SpAtk 32Spe, while many of the rest of the spreads are splitting 40-42 points across HP and Def. Some of those sets are guaranteed to survive adamant rock slide from 32Atk Chomp. Please, continue to be wrong. I shouldn't have to spoon feed you battle data.
>>59280059I've never seen someone dig themselves this deep. I didn't end my sentence with a question mark, but reread it again, you mouthbreathing gigafaggot. Thanks for doing the calcs, I guess?
>>59279999aqua cutter is slightly weaker than razor shell and isn't contact but it is slicing. contact moves are specifically worse on purpose for most things, except for stuff like tough claws.
>>59280067Ah right Tough Claws is one of the actually legit good points of contact movesI considered Aqua Cutter but Razor Shell's defense drop seems like it could come in handy especially with Sucker Punch to clean up
>>59280073its really preference but the things aqua cutter has up on razor shell is that its non-contact, has a +1 to crit chance, and it doesn't have the annoying 5% miss razor shell has.
>>59280062>Charizard is on fraud watch>rocks ko'd my miscalc'd set so it's shit>Delphox will rise again! All brain damaged opinions from your posts.
>>59280087??????CAN YOU FUCKING READ, YOU BRAIN DAMAGED RETARD? Here's the sentence I posted: "Can accelrock one tap gamefreak's baby boy"this is the only thing I've posted in this thread. I didn't include a question mark, but I was asking a question; can accelrock one tap gamefreak's baby boy? YOU ARE GENUINELY SCHIZOPHRENIC. MEDS. NOW.
>Spent like 2 hours trying to break a bad loss streak in singles>At least three of those losses were from crits eating one of mine mons through multiple buffsI know Pokemon is a glorified game of die and calculated risks but man did the die have it out for my ass tonight
>>59280079Made me look up crit chances and man no wonder all the so-called high crit chance attacks like Slash still rarely crit, it's only 1/8 chanceYou'd think they'd at least be 30% chance like most status moves

>>59280102they have weird priorities when it comes to balancing
>>59280094An adamant Dusk Lycanroc with tough claws and 24Atk will guarantee 1hko a bulky Zard using accelerock.Tough claws is a requirement because regular adamant +32 Lycanroc will fall just short with accelerock in the same way that non-stab rock slides do from Chomp or Drill.Lycanroc outspeeds Zard except under Tailwind, so rock slide is usually the play.
It's over for Lorenzo.
>>59280114Rock slide misses, though. + priority tailwind on a decent amount of mons, or just aero tailwind. Thanks for doing the math. I haven't shiny hunted one of those things yet, so probably won't use it...not even sure how to get one, honestly.
>>59278765Its not even a fall its a slight concession because he doesnt have his ultimate cancer partners amoongus and rillanig. This is merely super saiyan 1

Yeah, I need a Mega Garde Team now. My previous core is hardwalling me at Ultra Ball Rank 4.
Beste bros, it was his turn.
I wish terrain extender was in already, wanted to do some psychic terrain stuff in singles but it doesn't last long enough to be good since you need to take a turn to set it up. You just know they'll only add this in when the tapus and other terrain setters get added and you start to see them everywhere.
>22 fully-evolved pokemons have swift swim (+mega swampert)>only 2 are in champions: basculegion and beartic(lol)Sad. I miss my nigga Ludicolo. Dunno if it would be good in this meta though.

>>59280762Its best niche is probably Trick Room with moves that Whimsicott doesn't get, like Rain Dance, Fake Out, Skill Swap, etc.
Silk scarf espeed dragonite, yes or no?
>>59280803Maybe? Doesn't seem very scary though without terra normal
I'm so sick of losing games because my opponent is too retarded to make the optimal play and clicks the damage button. I'm making constant reads on a high level but you can't out predict stupid. I had 100% win rate from people who forfeit as soon as they can't use Entrainment.
>>59281252>I had 100% win rate from people who forfeit as soon as they can't use Entrainment.I mean why not just throw raw fissures out at that point and see if you get lucky. Wtf
>>59281274A lot of people are just smart enough to copy the best player's teams but not smart enough to understand those teams have more than 1 win con. Like Wolfey had Perish Trap built into the team as a secondary win con if the OHKO strat dodn't work, but managing that requires more than just "DURRR CLICK DA BUTTON"Same thing happens with Sabley/Arch leads. The Sabley gets outplayed, they just forfeit. You can 100% stillplay and win the match but they just can't handle thinking for themselves.
>>59281214If you self ko with a recoil move that beats your opponent's last mon, you win the game. I guarantee that you're misremembering something, because if this was a consistent mistake in the battle engine, there would be constant discourse about how incompetent they are and how they need to fix it like with the mega and switching turn order thing.
>>59280855Then why didn't you ice shard?
>>59281214Well that's a weird thing on your part. The pokemon who'se faint animation play first is the one who should lose, it happened to me once in a endgame incineroar mirror, pic related.
>>59281070Not worth it
>>59281070You could, or you can helping hand your sneedler's close combat
>>59277958this team SUCKS
>>59281447Works for me :) What are you struggling against?
>play flawlessly>opponent's 7th straight Protect succeeds and it costs me the gamethis isnt very fun at all
>>59281501I'd honestly just be impressed and take the loss if that ever happened
imagine if they made a pokemon with the ability to automatically set Trick Room when it's sent into battle, BUT it has 255 base speed so it's so fast that it'll always go second.
>opponent's Maushold survives by 2% to get off a Beat Up on Mudsdale>Mudsdale kills my Pokemon twice with a non-Entrainment FissureHow am I supposed to take this game seriously?
>>59281849Would still be busted. Being able to dynamically reverse the turn order with just a switch in would be nuts. Maaaybe if it has dogshit typing and stats it could be fair
>>59281855You didn't EV to ensure a guaranteed KO on Maushold. It's your old fault.
>>59281890>It's your old fault. That's about the level of retadation I expect from Pokemon players.
>>59281893Where do you think you are pokemon player?
>>59281897I'm in a retard general, surrounded by retards (I'm not one since I quit the retarded game after that)
>>59281903>I'm not oneFalse>I quit the retarded game after thatFalse
>>59281912>your old fault
>>59281930Not even the same guy, but if seeing a single phone poster is enough to set you off you'd better get off 4chan before you hurt yourself
>>59281945>not even the same guy
how does /vp/ do it
>>59282107Very stupidly
>>59281945>if seeing a single phone poster is enough to set you offhow do you know that he's single
>>59282295He's posting on /vp/.
>My sinistcha gets flinched 4 times in a row by opposing double rockslides>lives the final slide at 2% and gets trick room off>winNot today RNG. Not today
battle revolution was one hundred times better
>>59282425Beast
>>59280099Perish song is a trash tactic because it takes three turns to workif it takes more than three turns RNG becomes inevitable
You have the go-ahead to add ONE(Uno)[1} single item and mon to the game to drastically shake up the current meta. What do you add to upend the established status quo the most?
>>59282746One thing I've learned using a fat team is that there is far more time for hax to take effect in a longer battle, so I needed to make sure my hax can be meaningful. Many games have been won off of sludge bomb poisons and imperfect accuracy moves connecting.
>>59280855oh really you solved the nash equilibrium for that gamestate did you?
>>59282922Choice Specs/Calirex Shadow Rider
>>59282922Flame Orb Ursaluna
>>59282922Indeedee and Terrain Extender.Technically the easiest way is just adding some nigger legendary, but these two would still shake things up without being overtly different
>>59282922I’d rather begin applying rebalance patches
>>59283074Oh yeah? What would you change?
I just want to fuck over Archaludon
>>59283074I do remember recent interview saying that it's possible for them to apply changes every patch, but apparently the current one is balanced enough that nothing sticks out like a sore thumb
>>59283074I thought that when they announced they would be doing that, the changes would have a quick turnaround. I don't know why I played myself like that when obviously they wouldn't do that.>>59282922Brute bonnet and covert cloak.
>>59283082I highly doubt we will get real mid-season balance changes unless the meta is horrendously fucked. Like everyone using the exact same 6 mons level of fucked.
>>59283093The real question is has we reached that part yet? I do remember seeing a list where almost the 5 identical pokemon are on the top list
>>59283103>The real question is has we reached that part yet?Not even close.
Any team recommendations would be greatly appreciated.I know I want to use Corviknight, and Venusaur. No idea about a god support mon. Don’t want to use too much meta, but want to get back to MB tier.
>>59283127Mega or base Venu? Also what kind of Corv set did you have in mind?
>>59283127Id always suggest start with a core with a synergy first>I want X pokemon do do thing and Y pokemon to support it somehowvenu and corviknight dont actually have any direct synergy that I know of.But if you just want>non super meta>plus venusaur>plus corviknightthen try this one>https://play.limitlesstcg.com/tournament/69cd689636f5b5c303dc45b3/player/sherpa/teamlist
>>59283139Mega V is my jam. Corviknight I had good success last season with Brave Bird / Tailwind / Iron Defense / Body Press with max HP and Defense.Leaves no room for Taunt, and have tried the Giraffe but he’s been fairly niche anti-TR for me
Give me the most anti-sableye team.I fucking hate that piece of shit so goddamn much.I'd rather guarantee deal with any other fucking mon if it meant I'd never have to
>>59283168The gremlins are afraid of the giraffe, so you can start from there
Mega Kangaskhan attacks my Garchomp>Rough SkinThe baby hits>Rough SkinI didn't know it worked like that.
>>59283173But I really want to cuck prankster screen setters
>>59283180That's why Population Bomb is a suicide versus Garchomp
>>59283180They literally show you that interaction in one of the tutorials with Maushold.
>>59283168Just slap Taunt or Encore on anything without Prankster
>>59282922Mega MawileMawilite
>>59283168>https://youtu.be/y1XIulSqPqo?si=CxRzOav5-WBBTfSGIm running this team, and you eat sableyes alive.
Uhm... unless you're playing a Dark Type or running a priority move. Sableye is going to Disable+Encore you.
>>59283219Might try that one out.I sincerely hope. That fake out+ poltergeist/bitter blade +shadow sneak next turn can kill the fucker.
>>59283219Does every Poketuber commission the same artist for their thumbnails?
>>59283292Fake Out + Bitter Blade just two taps sableye without them being able to move.>>59283311well the big ones for sure. Alternatively you can make some scuffed edit on your own and its still pretty funny
>>59283152If you wanted to use them together, you could use sleep powder to disrupt plus bulk up roost. Both of these guys are weak to zard though, so you'd need 2 other ways to beat it or you're in for a bad time.
Outside of maybe Taunt on a prankster, how do you deal with Perish Song? I'm thinking about building a team that won't be a sitting duck to one
>>59283395Soundproof blocks Perish Song, and ghost types ignore Shadow Tag.
why are people running meowstic on their arch teams nowseen it on the last 3 arch teams i played againstwhy press charm when you could press willow wisp
>>59283413I haven't seen that at all, but I guess Charm works on Fire types and can't miss.
>>59283413a man can only take so many wisp misses. also it gets trick room and prankster yawn.
>>59283444NTA but how good is prankster Yawn? I suppose it forces a switch but is there anything else I'm missing?
>>59283168I just Taunt him and then attack his teammate. Sableye alone can't really do that much.
Who is arch but gapes special attackers
>Change my team specifically to fuck over Basc>Don't get matched up against Basc for 4 games in a row>Go on a 5 win streak and hit Masterball anywayOkay
>>59283219Thanks.I didn't encounter any sableyes, but it got me a winstreak from start of ultra ball 2 to ultra ball 1.>opponent really thought it was save to put a fucking garchomp infront of my alolan ninetales, because he had a follow me maushold next to it and snow was removed.Snow or not I am gonna click blizzard.30% miss chance be damned.
>>59283077No clue. What’s the most ridiculous change they could make right now that isn’t blatantly broken?
>>59273862To this anon last thread, I think I finally found a tuber who actually has really really good commentary throughout the match which explains move selection and reasonings. Also great for any new player to watch how high level players think>https://youtu.be/LW6LOJ7e25g?si=coOiGCxpupZMeNGG
>>59283709Giving Grumpig, Gourgiest, Florges Mega Manetric and or Stunfisk the Terrain abilities.
>>59283741Wolfe gets views because he has real production value, though honestly he is really annoying to listen toHe also gave me tinnitus from one of his videosI wish I was joking James Baek is a top player himselfI think cybertron also explains themselves in a similar fashion but it feels like they always fumble right now I like alt this guy's videos are hilarious
>>59283814Mega tatsu will get drizzle btw
>>59283825Eh, you'd still run Pelipper for actual rain teams.
>>59283825It's going to be an upgraded form of Drizzle called Large Serving that makes it rain and makes any Dondozo that's on your team assume its boosted mode that it'd get from eating a Tatsugiri (without Mega Tatsugiri being eaten)
>about to lose because i was overthinking shit>win because the opponent was doing wild shit probably also overthinking itwell, uhh that was a game to remember for sure
>>59283219Thanks I made it to masterball with this teamDidn't think you'd get a cutscene for hitting masterball twice.I almost thought I would get some more box spaces>start in mid 1600 eloWeird I remember starting with way more elo last time, despite having lost more last time I climbed to masterball
Just fought some small dick faggot using a Vivillion just using sleep powder. I thought only spore had 100 accuracy but apparently so does sleep powder since all this baby dick tranny was doing was just putting my dudes to sleep, quiver dancing, and substituting since his leftovers healed him to full and I couldn't get a hit off. Very balanced status condition by the way, right up there with burn for shit that shouldn't be in the fucking game.
>>59284060Viv has Compound Eyes as its ability, which increases the accuracy of moves. Sleep Powder is like 90+ish accuaracy with it. >very balanced status condition by the wayRemember that this game has the most balanced version of sleep ever in a Pokemon game, discounting the Legends games.
>>59284069What a fun balanced thing to put in the game. I can only hope he's the only one running that shitty bug. I didn't even forfeit, I just closed the game. He can fight the AI for the next five minutes, not like I get to do anything anyway since sleep powder isn't gonna miss.
>>59284060kek I do this I lead it with talonflame for guaranteed tailwind so it outspeeds everything I straight up told someone else here to do it because I was winning games with it sandstorm vivillon btwwish I had a rain-themed one
>>59284060Damn that's evilGonna put that on my team thanks for the tip
>>59284085May as well, it's just a free win since there's literally no defense against it. Also there's a chance the other guy sees what a faggot you're being and either forfeits or just quits out of the game and lets you idle out against the AI for five minutes or so.
>>59284089Ah, come on anon, there are a lot of avenues for counterplay against it. >speed control, taunt, Insomnia, Grass types, just plain luck or accuracy lower abilities.
>>59284098Sent out Meowscarada against it and she one shot it with hurricane. Focus sash is on something else, so I get to eat shit. No idea what Vivillion's speed is since I'm not some tryhard faggot that looks this shit up, but I assume it's stupidly high, if it's out-speeding Meowscarada.
I am about to fall into the 1400s in Masterball lads....
>>59284108After it had set-up? Yeah, if it's boosted, you've likely lost at that point. It's achieved its wincon. >>59284111Post team. Are you just on a losing streak or playing some straight-up dogshit?
>>59284117I made some shitty mega Chimecho and Mega Audino trick room teams that didn't work at all. I was bored of the Giraffe and Orangutan.
Any support mons that can help me set trick room that aren’t the giraffe? I have Mega Chimecho and Mudsdale that I wanna make work but my autism won’t allow type overlap. Is Cofagrigus useable?
>>59284089Admit it. You're just bad at the game.
>>59284152Yeah, I tried making a Mega-Audino team too a few days ago. Chime and Audino are just too passive atm to afford wasting the mega slot on. When more Pokemon get added and there's shit like Ursaluna to abuse TR, then they'll be a lot better atm. >>59284154Cof is probably workable, yeah. Maybe Aromtisse for cleric support? Sinistchia?
>>59284154Did you check how other people are doing it?>https://youtu.be/A7qOmIE5mnI?si=GGavsU-Fw4XGSyGa
>>59284154If you want a Trick Room Ghost use Sinistcha
>>59284154You have mimikyu who has disguise protection. You have cha for healing and shit. Then you have gardevoir and hatterene for more offensive room settersThere is oranguru that can pull wome instruct shenanigans, but not sure what it really has over the giraffe.I also came across a rando thar blindsided me with trickroom audino
>>59284156I mean I made it to master rank with what is essentially a joke team with fuckin' Mega Lopunny on it playing only a maximum of five matches a day. I'm not bad by any means, but I'm also not a turbo sperg that knows all the stats of all the overused Pokemon by heart, and I don't look shit up like a fuckin' loser.
At what point you start making your own teams? I still struggle on that part because I don't have the fundies to know where to start
>>59284248you can make your own team at any point.Preferably you have SOME idea as to what you wan; either its a playstyle you want to try out, or you really want to make a certain Mon good, or you want a certain theme in your team (mono bug, frog only, cutemons, etc). Then explore to see if anyone already made it. If not; boil the team down to at least two mons, that is the core of the team. The rest you can mix and match depending on what you need, either better matchups or more support.
Identify one Pokemon you want to use + how it works as your wincon, then build around it with Pokemon that facilitate that wincon, cover its weaknesses or act as a secondary wincon if team preview shows your main plan isn't going to be effective
Is there any decent WESTERN singles content?
>>59284271No. BSS fucking sucks to watch and make content for. Your best bet is probably Blunde or Pokeaim when they aren't focusing on doubles.
>>59284271There's tempt but he got mad when he got stalled to a draw or something
>>59284277for champions?sometimes pimpnite does it, but he still mainly does doubles.as that anon said blunder and pokeaim does it, but so far i only see them use showdown for bss.
I've had 40 matches, I keep winning and then losing keeping me within the same area, I'm not getting out of ultraball2 and thats fineI have pokemon home anyways, i dont need the extra 5 box spacesits ok, its ok to only play for fun, i am fine in ultraball2, actually it may even be better than masterball if you think about it, its ok, my cofagrigus, my crabominable, my klefki, my weavile, they are happy, even my dewpider, my trickroom team, my normal team, my weather team, they are ok, maybe i'll get to master ball once kyogre is enabled, but if nots thats ok too, my kyogre is satisfied no matter what the situation is, i am satisfied, i am satisfied with ultraball2, it is ok, i play for fun, i have other hobbies, i dont need masterball rank, +5 box slots isnt that much anyways, its ok, i am going to be ok, its ok to be ultraball2
>>59284327achtaully its extra 10 box spaces between ultra to master
>>59284336You get +10 box spaces by reaching masterball rank? i already am ultraball
>>59284341Yes we get 50 total box spaces without spending money
>>59284345Ok................................... I don't..... need 10 more box spaces..................................................................................... I am ok......... with not having it... everyone at ultraball2 is my friend actually even the hundreds of charizard players....
What kinda speed should I shoot for if I wanna try the Mega Starmie Selfdestruct memes
>>59284271HoshinJosh
During team select, I highlight my mons and then allow the clock to run in hopes of annoying impatient opponents.
>found the paste for my team from last season Yaaay, now I can rebuild it with new buddies instead of reimporting the old ones to copy (they need to get their own ribbons in the main games)
>>59284166There's something kind of soulful about being forced to use crappy berries and type boosting items instead of all that extremely specific or broken bloat they added over the years
>>59284354Are there really that many zards in ultra ball?Feel like I only saw like a handful of them max
>lose 1, win 1, lose 1, win 1>still eventually drop into Ultra Ball because losing is -1 point while winning is +2 points with that performance bonus shitBet that bonus also suddenly disappears in this rank since the game just wanted to push me here
>>59284508I believe in you.I can make it to master so can you.
>>59284166is a Chandelure/Torkoal start viable? I know the giraffe and Whimsicott are the top kings of setting trick room, but I want to try running as many fire pokemon as I can. I'm already using Inciniroar instead of Sneasler but I'm looking to put some more fire pokemon on the roster (currently using a charizard focused sun team core)
>>59284154Runerigus/Cofagrigus
>>59284523idea: lava plume torkoal + flash fire chandelure then mega after getting the boost
>>59284535Rock sliders and pelli are gonna make this hard to pull off
if duraludon and archaludon didn't exist mega skarmory could've gotten an actual useful ability instead of a useless hand me down from the stapler
>>59284745It's gonna look a lot better once Amoongus comes back to fuck everything up
>>59284772>252 Atk Skarmory-Mega Brave Bird vs. 252 HP / 252 Def Amoonguss: 216-254 (97.7 - 114.9%) -- 81.3% chance to OHKOeh fair enough i guess
>Wanna try out Scovillain cause I love leech seed>Get thisThe fuck? How am I supposed to burn this shit?
>>59284778What was his mega?
>>59284778uh bro, your soak mon?
