>still grading cards
I feel so anxious waiting for cards to arrive from online shopping. I check the tracking every day and I feel sick when it doesn't update.
So many cards, so little money...Should I go for the english vintage sealed or two japanese vintage?
>>59450974Are you pissed off that in Gemany they decided to give Pokemons these weird names or you're used to it?
To the anon that posted their new Dunsparce card last thread, it looks very cute
>>59451049I have a german friend who loves most of the localized german names, like Tyranitar being Despotar
>>59451049what's weird about them?
Probably last mail day before anniversary
>>59450966Japanese, then English at a later date.
>>59450966Just thought, how often does the English card you want come on the market?
>>59451765He's a sealed nigger, he's not interested in the actual cards.
>>59450966>English vintage sealedYou have little money but you’re looking to buy, like, WotC boxes or something?
Imagine if the Gen 10 leaks are real and we get 300 new Pokemon. I wonder how many sets it would take to cover them all.
>>59452293i don't keep up with this stuff, what leaks are you talking about, what are the details?maybe many of them are just different forms of existing pokemon like mosslax
>>59452293>>59452323It's not 300 new Pokemon. The leak was only that there were 300 new spots in the Pokedex. There were also leaks that the new Pokemon will have a Winds variant and a Waves variant. Think 100 Paldean Tauros like situations.
What's a site with good prices on Japanese or chinese boosters? I know a couple that had nice prices but low stock so they've been out for a while. Feels like $80-90 for a mega symphonia box is a bit steep when I can find one in stock
>>59452357>There were also leaks that the new Pokemon will have a Winds variant and a Waves variant. Think 100 Paldean Tauros like situations.what the fuck is wrong with game freak
>still buying houndooms
30th set comes out in all countries at the same time, but obviously the leaked pack openings on whatnot by nigger thieves are the engl*sh ones.......

>>59452836You trolling me. They can reprint shit from two years ago?
im retarded did i already miss being able to preorder things in europe for the 30th
Fucking hell haven't bought cards in nearly 4 years and today I suddenly got the urge to buy a bunch Gym Heroes/Challenge commons and uncommons that I don't have yet. There's no escaping this hobby. At least I quit modern for good
>>59452846Yeah ascended heroes and 151 reprints but no captcha. Bots took all the stock within the first hour.>>59452959There'll be more but you missed ETBs, mini tins, and booster bundles.
This performative faggot spent $90 and all he bought was modern IR slop and *nglish trainers
>>59453526Blowtorch?
>>59453526i love that zamazenta and talonflame myself
Be real bros. How much is this gonna cost me?
>>59453551When the gun doesn't feel personal enough
>>59451762I guess two is better than one. The jap cards are the classic vintage holos, to increase my jap cards collection, not insanely rare cards.>>59451765There are enough of this card in the market, the price of course increased compared to a year go or more (like pretty much anything).>>59452147It's a WotC Black Star Promo, vs two NM/Mint Japanese vintage cards, a Jungle and a Neo Genesis.
Cards you bought when they were worthless that shot up in price since you got them?Obviously this one isn't mine but I was surprised how much it rose since I bought it almost 2 years ago.
It's a good feeling thinking, cards could be delivered today.>>59453785I'm just buying to collect, not bought anything as an investment. If buying a card to resell when the price increases it does make sense to buy the card at the cheapest price (if it is increasing yearly, then maybe now is the cheapest it will be, if that makes sense?).
>>59453785Sorry, I meant to reply to another anon.I only started collecting a couple of months ago. I have a blitzle slap, psa9, think that might have increased by a few GBP?>>59453646I meant the 2nd part of this to go to you, sorry.>>59453950
>>59453962*slab Sorry.
are you ready for embroidery cards?
2 more ordered, a cool one with the play pokemon logo, and my 2nd komiya card (murkrow 57/94 phantasmal flames).Going to (try) and wait till all my orders turn up before I order anything else. 2 weeks, I can do it.*keeps browsing the komiya card list site*
>>59454074you might already be familiar with it, but the pkmcards database is the best for searching out particular artists, pokemon, card types, etc. and has high quality images. >>59454094Thanks anon, no I wasn't aware, I'm a newfag to all this. Mainly collecting 1 character and evolutions, but do have a few others. Saw a good rattata thread, and ended up ordering a cool Nippon vending series card from 1998 no.019 (cool artwork on it).I'll get those bookmarked.
>>59454111I wish I could contribute some money for you to buy it, but sadly I could only cover one of the zeros.
>>59454094I was using the serebi site for komiya links, but those links you gave had good quality images. Thanks again.
Ok, just ordered a 24 card komiya bundle to get his collection going in my binder. No more ordering now till everything from this month is delivered. Maybe 2 weeks time.
>>59454111If I ever won the lottery, I wouldn't tell anybody, but there would be signs...
>>59454228I lied, sorry, I saw the charcadet card wasn't in the collection I bought, so had to purchase it to start the komiya section of the binder.
>>59453526I know it's only Zamazenta, but you'd think that card would be way more popular with Nintendies because of the artist.
>>59453785I bought this for less than $15
>>59453785>>59454340Bought a PSA-9 Japanese shining Magikarp off a guy about seven years ago for around $100. Totally compulsive purchase, and I didn’t have much money at the time. I remember feeling bad and regretful after buying it. It’s now one of my most valuable cards. But the same is true of almost every card I bought before the pandemic. I picked up a PSA-9 1st Jungle snorlax on a whim just because i was curious what a graded mint card might look like. I think that was like $70 at the time. Got a 1st edition shining tyranitar off marketplace for $100 around the same time, a shining Charizard (unlimited, unfortunately) for $200, PSA 9 CD starters for like $80-90, etc. I got a base set Charizard from a $1 re-packed pack back when Pokemon Go first popped off (wait weren’t unlimited base Charizards selling for like $1200 a few years ago?)It’s actually ludicrous just how much everything’s taken off. And quite dispiriting, because I feel like I really can’t complete some of the sets I started years ago. I know it’s just the market or whatever, but it’s hard to justify buying individual, say, Vending promos now, when you could pick up lots of three or four for like ten bucks half a decade ago.
>>59453646Which promo? And are you going to keep it sealed? Some of the sealed WotC promos sort of suck because they’ve got a marketing card blocking the actual promo.
>>59453785These weren't ever "worthless", but still.Bought raw from ebay 10 years ago for around $150, to replace the one I mistreated and lost 20 years ago. I then graded it around 2018 just to see how it's like.I was tempted to sell it in the first pandemic boom, glad I didn't. Not just because it's even higher now, but also because I know I'll regret it forever.
>>59454422Holy shit, I had no idea the prices on these had gone so insane. Two years ago this card was selling for 2000 bucks, and one just sold two weeks ago for $20k. How does this make sense?
>>59454422Oh but GG, I think you might “mog” all other responses with your 120x Latias
Very based.
>>59454373>it’s hard to justify buying individual, say, Vending promos now, when you could pick up lots of three or four for like ten bucks half a decade ago.I absolutely agree with this and it's why I don't collect much old stuff now. I had my chance, I did get some nice things, but it's just not worth it anymore. As much as people love to shit on modern, I'd much rather buy that nice new slowbro AR at $10 than buy some older card at 10x the price I could have got it years ago.
just buy psa4

>>59454532GG no reMy envy is immeasurable
>>59454571i just sold 3 of my 4 gold stars in the last month
>>59454571Absolutely. Even 20 years ago everyone knew that these were special. Latias is the only gs I've ever pulled and unlike during the pandemic boom, I now know it's the last card I'll ever part with.>>59454575lel
Can I have your collection?
Youtube keeps giving me these videos of absolute nobodies going on and on about what's happening the Pokemon market as if they have any fucking clue. I can't tell if these people are this delusional or grifters.
lolI'll give you 18 for it.
POV you placed an order for four cards on July 6th.
Woohoo, some cards and stickers have arrived.Yes I know, display shart, but a nice meowth and pidgey. It can go with my other fan art stuff.
>>59454754Hang on, this post needs an image.
Looked through an older box today holding a ton of crown zenith cards from the time when I opened a ton of CZ left and rightMost good stuff got sorted out already back then but I found some radiant charizards and a few other smaller things stillAnyway, even though it wasn't even that long ago it reminded me of how much I missed when it was easy to open a whole bunch of Crown Zenith and just have a great evening doing that. Now they're way too fucking expensive. One of the all time great sets for sure, so much good shit in there.
>>59454373>>59454432>>59454497Whenever I look up old cards, I still expect them to be the price they were ~10 years ago. It's too bad... 10 years ago I was too poor to buy the cards I wanted, and now that I'm earning some okay money I've been totally priced out.How do you guys think the card regulations are gonna work?
>>59454821we will never get those hit rates again
does anyone know if triumph arcade is legitmy dad picked up some app they made that lets you open packs and apparently you can get your pulls mailed to you? he asked if i would want any of the things he got (a full art archaludon ex and a meloetta cr, no idea what set either is from because i haven't been collecting much lately) and i want to make sure he isn't getting into some crypto scam bullshit before he spends any actual money

>>59454917https://www.japantimes.co.jp/business/2026/07/23/japan-weighs-regulating-pokemon-cards/>Japan, the home of Pokemon, is beginning to weigh regulating the booming trading card market, as values soaring into the millions of dollars fuel counterfeiting and money laundering.>For Japan’s government, the increasing financialization of the trading card market is problematic. The group heard that card values are largely determined by a U.S. company, despite the Japanese origins of the likes of Pokemon and Yu-Gi-Oh.>Seiji Kihara, the LDP lawmaker chairing the new caucus, said he wants talks to focus on supporting Japan-originated intellectual property and content, while avoiding the kind of strict regulation that hampered growth of the domestic cryptocurrency industry, with the result that it shifted to the U.S.I wonder what exactly they're planning on doing for this.

Why didn't any of the Lilliefags mention that new Lillie box set Comes with Lillie sleeves, coin and packs
I really liked the art on this card. It might not be the most expensive Deoxys card, but it's definitely one of my favorites. I like how the artist drew the arm with many twists to make it look like a DNA helix, which is also Deoxys's pokemon category. The head twist, blank stare, and the "visitor" name also add to the alien nature of the pokemon. I just wish my copy had one of those fancy holo swirls

>>59455188At least give it a clean.A moist cloth and circular movement to clean all that dirt and black dots.
>>59453785So many.I bought this in insanely perfect conditions with a massive swirl for 50€ a couple of years ago, now it's probably worth 7-8x more in mint conditions
>>59456167Not him, but in his defense, Fukuda doesn’t have a single good illustration. Not sure about the “furry” remark thought
>>59453785Plenty, I got banned here recently for bragging about how I filled a lot of gaps in my vintage cards from childhood in like 2017-19. Neo Revelation Ho-oh holo for $20, Neo Genesis Lugia in a lot with a couple of other rares/holos for less than $40, the legendary beasts holos from Neo Revelation for around $20 a piece, Dark Charizard for $15ish, CoroCoro Shining Mew for $50 (back when I thought it was the one and only Japanese exclusive of that nature, wish I hadn't opened the can of worms but it's a sexy card). That's just vintage, at that time Gen 3 cards were nearly worthless and I took a break from cards between TRR and Call of Legends, so I was just scooping up whatever for single digits, no secret rares or Gold Stars (mistake) because at the time I couldn't picture spending more than $80 for a single card... people were so fucking butthurt when I posted some receipts they reported me for trolling lel
>>59454373>And quite dispiriting, because I feel like I really can’t complete some of the sets I started years ago.Yeah this stings the most, I'm lucky I was able to have disposable young adult money just before the insanity began and filled in some slots, but it sucks to think that I've had some gaps in my binders for 25+ years that I can never, ever afford to fill in.
>>59455253I just hope it doesn't result in some stupidity like a Japanese government backed grader/certifier, turning the cards into actual, official financial assets will be the death of them.Perhaps some kind of singular card exchange? But I don't see how that undermines PSA in any way for English cards.
>>59456341Why did they cuck the borders on the English version...
>>59456167>>59456326His obsession with hands, bellies and "fuck me eyes" gives me the ick
>>59456352Yeah, I remember picking up a massive amount of vintage 1st editions for (what’s now) pennies on the dollar around 2016-2017. You could obtain most of the WotC holo 1st eds for like $10-15 a piece. And there were actual deals to be found. I remember buying this 1st edition fossil dragonite (along with a beat-up 1st ed fossil raichu) for $10 total (five bucks each). And this wasn’t uncommon, people were happy enough to liquidate fairly desirable cards for a bit of pocket change, no one “knew what they got (no lowballs).”And I was like you. Everything was so relatively cheap, buying a $100+ card felt like a ludicrous splurge. Looking back in my old photos and seeing, like, a PSA 9 gold star hoenn trio priced around $1500 — really kicking myself for not buying those. But who could have predicted today’s ludicrous market?Nevertheless, I’m happy I got most of my favourite cards (including almost all the shining cards in mint 1st edition).
Nice little promo card. Going to have the first 4 as promo cards, my kellogs pidgey evolution index, a pidgey playing card, a meiji lidgeotto, and this meiji pidgeot.
>>59456449I should have said first 4 in the binder.

>>59456407I think this might be a bit of a “self report” as the youth used to say ten years ago
I was about to post something like:“Reminder to take your old WotC holos and look at them under direct sunlight.”But on my way to taking this card outside, the light in the kitchen caught it just right. But that said, sunlight hits these cards in a beautiful way. Takes me right back to opening packs outside as a kid. I have a vivid memory of pulling a holographic fossil Aerodactyl in my front yard (no idea if it’s a real memory or just a sort of impression, but I can picture the scene)

>>59456556it's fake
>>59456542Disclaimer, don’t take your cards outside if you live across from a methadone clinic, if it’s raining, if you’re currently experiencing wildfires, etc.>>59456550For my money, under the right light, the starlight holo is the best-looking pattern in the hobby. Cosmos definitely “performs” better in a wider range of lighting conditions.Pic related: fossil flareon looking quite dull because the sun isn’t positioned just right.

Is there a CCA? This is addictive af. Promised myself I'd wait till what I ordered turned up before ordering, then bought more things.Once things turn up that's the first and 2nd page sorted (subject to change in the future). >>59457719I want to hold garbodor by the pigtails and lovingly ejaculate into its rusty soda can womb
this hobby would be much better if all NIGGERS and SPICS were gone from it!
What do we think of this card? I think Caitlyn looks a bit weird but Cynthia looks great. I find it odd that this is the artists only card.
>>59457793Funny you say that since the worst vendors to deal with are asians.
>>59457855it's definitely trainershit
>>59457416Very endearing and soulful art. Nothing wrong with that.
My Raichu isn't beating the allegations
>>59457990>claps feet>rubs stretch marks on belly
>>59456280Bought mine in slightly played condition for 30€ a couple of years ago too. I always thought it was severely underrated and now people have finally started to wake up.
>>59456280Oh lmao I just bought this fella today, probably a good purchase Got him for 30k yen so a fair bit pricier but I like the artwork a lot, it was an impulsive decision too
>>59458110lmao you payed double, retard. And you're there in person. Mandarake must have gotten fucked up since I went
What's with the japs putting the rarity on some cards or not?
>>59458117Uhmm that's the current market price now, buddy
>>59458117Everything is fucked in Japan. The only place you're going to get a decent price is Mercari and you're going to have to wade through a lot of shit.
>>59457793That would be the world in general.
>>59458147Promos and certain starter decks dont get rarity symbols.
>>59458155So the special ones like mega dream ex considered as promos since they have 10 cards?

>>59458173I dont know, I dont care about anything released in the last 20 years but thats generally how it works.
>>59458117>>59458110>>59458148I remember when you could get the whole promo pack (hungry snorlax with cool porygon) for like 30 bucks. And I never did it, because it was so cheap, I just didn’t see the urgency
>>59458266Oh I live in Japan, I like to think I'm not a チー牛 myself but that cheese bowl does slap on occasion
>>59458289Here are the other things I bought todayExcuse how dimly lit it is my ceiling light doesn't work and I don't have a lamp
>>59458289>i live in japanMy envy is immeasurable. If you don’t mind my asking (and i understand if you don’t want to answer on the Mongolian Belly and Feet and Mouth fetish board), but how did you come to live there? Ever since visiting, I’ve been scheming up ways to get back for longer and longer stretches of time. Incidentally, the chigyu are definitely onto something with their bowls. Slap like a pound of pickled ginger on it, my god

Why do girls do this?
>>59458308i just thought it looked cool
>>59458305Sure, I already had N1 and some experience working in a Japanese company but they wouldn't transfer me here, so I had a choice between doing YMS or JET and chose JET because it meant I'd get given a flat and have an easy braindead ALT job to collect passive income while I looked for a real job. Managed to get a job in the city after a year on JET and jumped ship immediately, never looked back. I recommend working on your Japanese before coming here, and having a degree in STEM + work experience so you aren't stuck as a dead-end English teacher. pic unrelated
>>59458308It's closer to $30 nowadays but >>59458329You're part of the problem. Die.>>59458318>girlsYou don't pass. And it's kind of neat, you ever heard of scrapbooking?
>>59458332Very cool, appreciate the reply. I’m at like N5 after studying for a couple months, but I really need to pick up my studies. I also fear I have no marketable skills (sales and editing, for the most part), so I may be stuck just visiting periodically.I suppose I could go fully vampire and do my 9-5 work remotely from Japan.
damn this mogs the paradox rift groudon so hard lmao
>>59458336>You don't passNot trying to, you fucking freak.
>>59458342If you could do some kind of digital nomad/are willing to be a vampire just get a 3 month tourist visa and live it up here, Japan is pretty great with combinis being 24/7 and things generally stay open most of the time in the cities. If you work in marketing you could get your Japanese to a good level then go through recruiters, they look for bilingual people who are mid-career ideally. Best of luck anon, but either way there are pros and cons to living here vs. being a tourist. Generally I'm having a pretty good time though
>>59458342Marketing in japan without good keigo sounds できない as fuck
>>59458360
>>59458365>>59458364Yeah, don’t get me wrong, I’m not expecting to pick up and live in Japan in the next couple years. And I’m in sales/account management currently. Fell backwards into a pretty cushy, fully remote position during the pandemic and just never left. I could theoretically do digital nomad, my schedule is extremely flexible, but I have a lot of meetings pegged to North American time zones, which could be challenging. I also worry about taking meetings at like 3am JST and bothering neighbours.
>>59458370Best card itt
Total bourgeois deathYour heads will be the first to roll
>>59458388I’m afraid the best card in the thread is the WcDonald’s Slowpoke promo posted above.
>>59458384You're fucked with the bothering of neighbours no way about that. For food and other shit, combinis are open 24/7 so you won't die if you don't mind shitty food
>>59458392I love Slowpoke and those all look like shit
>>59458389Is this in response to the sales guy planning to live off convenience store food in a shitty Japanese apartment with paper thin walls?
>>59458401This is perhaps the gayest thing I’ve ever read in one of these threads.
>>59458402>Is this in response to the "le cushy remote do-nothing job" guy with so much money he's planning an intercontinental move to one of the biggest economies on the planet? In part, samefaggir. But the world doesn't revolve around you, btw
>>59458406Finally, a good Slowpoke
>>59458147Special set normal cards dont have them.
is regular card art tinier than years ago or is my eyesight gone to shit?I mostly collect old school cards and full arts, but yesterday bought a PBL pack and the art box looks soo tiny and clustered.
>>59458318Not a bad idea if it's not AIslop but is clearly is.>>59458460Measure it with a ruler and tell us.
>>59458465>le aislop boogeyman on some fucking generated skylineTrust me, no one fucking cares outside of your internet bubble.
>>59458431I don’t think you’ve got a good grasp of the facts here. Japan might make up one of the largest economies in the world today, it’s nevertheless quite inexpensive for foreigners owing to the weak yen. And you don’t need a lot of money to pick up and live in another country for a while — you’re just paying rent to another landlord for the next X months. Given rents are 30+% cheaper in Tokyo relative to where I currently live, it would actually be frugal to make the move. I also don’t think having an Elite Email Caste job makes a person “bourgeois.” Owning capital (e.g. expensive pokemon cards) does.
>>59458460English cards had a different aspect ratio to the art box in sets up until Gym Heroes, Japanese cards appear more "widescreen" while English are more "fullscreen", they did this to better fit English text, but because the Gym symbols required the bottom of the card layout to match the Japanese one, they had to use the Japanese size in those sets. I think for Neo they just didn't bother changing it.The eCards obviously have smaller boxes because of the wide borders, but they're also shorter. In the EX/ADV+PCG era, the windows got more visible width as the borders shrunk, but they were still quite short. The size changes slightly between the last-gasp of Dot Code sets and the removal thereof. For DP, the boxes on all cards became significantly taller and the aspect ratio returned to being more square, this time with the same width as late Gen 3 cards.HGSS made the windows even taller, with BW until SWSH shrinking them to something similar to the earlier EX cards (more widescreen, but the window isn't as wide as Gen 4).In SV until today the windows got a bit shorter yet again.
>>59458482You are a member of the bourgeois today if you have any appreciable savings, or have the ability to create some, if you have disposable income with any regularity, have a passport, can afford to take transoceanic flights, and can afford to move on a whim without fear of your job status. If you make a salary, you are bourgeois. If you are white collar, you're right up there. If you are "working from home doing nothing" and making more than 75,000 a year, you are no longer part of the proletariat class, no matter how much you wish you were. >the middle class doesn't exist anymore! You're right, because they have become the wealthy. Just because they aren't the uber-wealthy billionaires, doesn't mean they aren't rich. Someone making six figures today lives a life closer to someone making $5 million than someone making $35k.
>>59458508I’m under the impression the distinction looks more like this:Bourgeois: doesn’t need to work owing to their proximity to productive capitalProletariat: must sell their labour to make a living I think you’re getting into some sort of new “professional managerial class” grievance mongering or something that’s more focused on cultural prestige than a person’s access to wealth-generating assets.
>>59458364Oh hey, thats my picture of my card
>>59458540I would offer that the meaning of bourgeois (owners of assets/means of production) has changed with the times. At least as far as shifting the meaning to still keep an identifiable, gravity-holding name for those who have and those who don't.This "managerial class" is not some "other" to the struggle, but they have no conception of what it means to be working-class, and they live comfortably while leeching off of the work of the prole. That makes them detestable, and for the purposes of the uprising, they should be considered bourgeois, because they need to be slaughtered just as their richer counterparts do.
>>59458547In this like a Maoist third worldist position? Because by your definition, a majority of people in all advanced industrial nations are “bourgeois.”(I guess you’ve maybe already stated this outright)
>>59457213I indeed feel stupid. There were so many vintage cards and sets sitting there for pennies compared to actual prices. The good thing is that when this 30th anniversary bubble pops, there will be again a lot of stuff in the market, people trying to liquidate their (((investments))) quickly depreciating.
Wait, no one told me simplified Chinese cards were based. They use the normal backs, not the cringe updated Japanese backs??
>>59458460Depends. The artbox has changed size a few times. Gen 4 had particularly large ones.
>>59458596Has to be fake, all TPC-produced cards use TPC backs and vise-versa with TPCi.>>59458600The HGSS box was expanded over the already largest-ever boxes on DPPt cards.
>>59458595the bubble will pop this time for sure
>>59458631The only region that uses the Japanese back is Japan. Everywhere else uses the English card back regardless of where the card is printed.
>>59458392based slowpoke chad. i posted the volcano groudon.
>>59458342>I’m at like N5 after studying for a couple monthslmao
>>59457578I have Verre's full art. It's ok I like how the non-Verre elements pop out of the frame too Gives it a pseudo 3D look.
>>59458332Being an English teacher there was something I was looking into, what makes it a dead end?
>>59458717English teachers are less respected than the homeless
>>59456266That won't damage it further?
>>59458705Is that a bad pace for two months?
>>59458729I'd say so. IIRC N5 doesn't even require kanji vocabulary, which you should be studying immediately after memorizing the kana.
>>59458726Moist is not the word. You want something very very slightly damp. I just use my breath on the card and that's usually enough moisture to scrub off dirt with a qtip or eye glass cloth.
>>59458731I thought N5 required like 100 kanji. If the n5 is as you describe, though, I’m more proficient than I thought
>>59458547kill yourself
>>59458596Only Chinese card I have is Celebi V. I normally collect Japanese only but that one has an ugly stamp ruining the card, so I had to consult the CCP for a favor
>>59458717imagine being a japanese teacher except you dont actually teach japanese but a weird version of japanese where instead of kanji every word is written in the english alphabet as it sounds except every word is also grossly mispronounced and misspelled to the point it barely resembles the original japanese word

>>59459613I found some more. What's a good way to price and sell them?
>>59459645>You would have to ask the kik-- err.... Pokemon investors if they're worth anything though.it’s interesting that the (retarded) financialization of the hobby has made people allergic to even discussing the price of cards. Like, if you’re collecting cards, it follows you’d know the rough value of the things you’re collecting. You’re presumably buying and selling by and trading cards with some frequency. But here we have to pretend cards are just (literally) priceless artefacts, and anything less than that, even a neutral observation of their exchange value, is vulgar Investorfag behaviour.
>>59459713Gulp... talk about a treasure trove...
>>59459713Take a picture of all of them all at once and ask AI to price every card in the picture.
>>59459653I wish I hadn’t thrown away all those stupid pikachu cards. You couldnt give them away just six or seven years ago.
>>59459690I stuck it to the back
>>59459713Post your Yugioh cards.
>>59459327Yeah, if you're direct-hire it's fine, but it can't be your only source of income. JET is actually the best of the bunch as the salary is the highest and in some places you can basically get free housing... But you'll probably be in the inaka and want to kill yourself, especially so if you don't speak any Japanese. >>59458722It depends, if you're in said inaka ALTs can get a lot of respect, especially the high school ones if you're at a school with a high 偏差値. My first gf here thought I couldn't get a better job that being an ALT and worshipped the ground I walked on for a while before she went psycho. But yes in general if you tell any girl in a city that you are an ALT they will ghost your ass.>>59458918What the fuck is this? Not at all relevant to being an ALT whatsover, but yes as an ALT you are not an English teacher. You are basically a babysitter for 40-50 minutes, with maybe a bit of English sprinkled in (none of which will stick in the kids' minds). But if you like that sort of thing the fun lies in interacting with the kids, I brought my toploader binder into school one time and showed them English cards, that blew their mind,
>>59458546Whoops my bad, I must have saved it in an old thread, cool card anon
>>59458749>>59458731N5 theoretically requires knowledge of the first 80 jouyou kanji but the N5 exam will likely have furigana (just explanatory hiragana) above any kanji words, so you may not need any kanji knowledge at all. I'm not sure the first exam I took was N3.
>accidentally won an auction i didn't care aboutBros...
>>59459905Maybe in five years it’ll be worth 10x what you paid for it, and because you’re not attached to the card, you can quickly liquidate it and buy something you actually want
