Aurora veil helps Annihilape with rage fist and Staraptor too with surviving some things it wouldn't normally. It helps remove weathers too. It's slow enough to out slow in trick room and fast enough to outspeed in tailwind. People are either scared shitless of it or ignore it over Staraptor or Farigiraf and let me get veil up or spam blizzard freely.
At least Sneasler looks good and is easy to take out. Incineroar and Rillaboom on the other hand...

>>59590903I built it last regulation where it did much better. Delphox, Froslass, Garchomp, Charizard, Raichu and weather teams were much more common. Golurk dealt with all of them and Sneasler while both Golurk and Staraptor took Kingambit, Incineroar, Archaludon, Tyranitar, Gholdengo, Metagross. Golurk if safely brought in can take out It still works well against Salamence Rillaboom template teams but struggles against psyspam though I managed to beat a few. Does okay against Golisopod teams. They bring rain which makes Primarina 2 hit it kill with hyper voice. The idea is usually trick room, Vanilluxe helps Farigiraf safely set up trick room and helps the other Pokémon safely switch in. Primarina is self explanatory. Annihilape doesn't care about speed if it can tank safely with aurora veil though since the opponent almost always goes max speed so it can out slow them. Rage fist takes care of things Staraptor can't and drain punch scares Kingambit. And it hard walls Sneasler. Eventually I can safely bring in Golurk to clean up. Staraptor has tailwind where all the same support Pokémon can function. Most likely if I were to update it I would slot in Indeedee over Farigiraf and replace Golurk and Staraptor with something else. I got 100 wins with Golurk so I'm happy.

People were clowning on the added mons and items (and I agree that we should've gotten at least a bit more, no AssVest this far in is fucking crazy and leaving Weezing out is understandable given the aims of the meta but still reeks of cowardice) but I do think the additions did end up having a fairly strong and most importantly POSITIVE effect on the Meta. Golisopod being the hard Floette check the game's needed since forever and it+Indeedee basically singlehandedly making TR an actual top-contending archetype for the first time in forever were especially good.

Kind of curious what folks do for Mega Mence in open team sheet, I currently run a life orb politoed with ice beam. It's great it one shots mence when they inevitably just click hyper voice and call it a day. The poli is trained to survive fake out+double edge, but it definitely can't handle a double if the mence clicks Double edge and the other mon the opponent has is faster.In open teamsheet however this element of surprise is lost, they know I have the ice beam and it becomes extremely easy to deal with the politoed before it can take care of the mence. So what are folks doing in tournament play (other than losing going by the results lol)

Tubers say use timid nature and have like 25 speed to outzpeed scarfed basc but no one is using scarf basc anymore so thats just bad information its either life or or mystic water and you should be having some type of speed control anyway
