Unlocks all the characters and their costumes, without having to beat the game with Cornell first and then rescuing the kids in Henry's campaign. https://twitter.com/JupiterClimb/status/1779920974239961242To trigger it, go the Title screen and press the following inputs:>C-Up, C-Up, C-Up, C-Up>C-Down, C-Down, C-Down, C-Down>C-Left, C-Left>C-Right, C-Right>C-Left, C-Left>C-Right, C-Right>L, R, ZIf done properly, you will hear the same sound effect that plays when you trigger the big crystal in the Castle Center.
thats not the konami code.
Oh jeez wow.
>>10856596Not the Konami Code you idiot.
>>10856645go masturbate
>>10856647Already did you moron
This same cheat also unlocks Hard mode, but only if you input it without the Controller Pak (Japanese version supported on-cartridge saving + Rumble Pak). Works for all versions of the game as well.>>10856625>>10856645Yes it is, just in a roundabout way. A and B buttons can't be used for it since these interact with the menu.
>>10856651besides changing it to L, R and Z the konami code is ^ ^ v v < > < > not sure why 4 up and 4 downs.
>>10856661>not sure why 4 up and 4 downs. The directional inputs are doubled.
>>10856596neat
>Cheat codesYou didn’t beat it
>>10856596>Cool werewolf on the coverI will now play your game.
>>10856787This is an N64 game, and IIRC that's the main character you play as.
>>10856813Sweet, booting it up tonight.
That's cool, nice to see how a game can still have secrets even when autists have already gone through the data documenting everything they found. The TCRF pages on these 2 games are loaded. What about the first game then? Anything?I already have everything unlocked thoughcaptcha: JANKX2
For me it's the original.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kekitaCO6Wk
>>10856849He can only temporarily transform into a werewolf, he's some white haired anime man most of the time.
>>10858506I think both versions have their pros&cons and it's definitely worth it to play the original first. I love these games, they're some of my favourite 5th gen action games after Resident Evil series and Parasite Eve II. The action isn't as tight as in those games but the environments and atmosphere make up for it.I don't know where the bad reputation comes from other than maybe people getting filtered by the jumps over pits in the first stage, which is actually kinda bad since the game has so few jumps that are THAT dangerous later on.
>>10858521Yeah, found that out after a bit, super lame.Interesting game nevertheless, 3D castlevania is a trip.
>>10858547The only things that I think are better in the original is that violin intro and more voice acting scenes for the original characters. There's some slightly different level designs but I see no reason to replay it for that, Legacy is just a better package overall.
Does anyone hate how Carrie emasculates Reinhardt? If it weren't for her humiliating him with how much better she is, Reinhardt would be seen as one of the all-time greatest Belmonts along with Richter and Simon
>>10858609Maria also mogs Richter in Rondo and makes the game into easy mode.
>>10858620Can you select Maria from the start? No. She's the joke character. Canonically Maria is a weak feeble child that Richter must rescue
>>10856596But it makes playing Henry feel even more satisfying.>gunLOL
>>10858609Not really, even fully upgraded, her shots deal less damage than Reindhart. Without the upgrade she's pathetic. The only pro is that her shots home in on targets. The hardest part of both games is playing the first boss in LoD, as Carrie, on Hard. Because she sucks.>>10858563There are many levels which are different and usually I like both versions and I think the differences are such that it's worth playing both. However, I hate what they did to the Villa in LoD. That's a real downgrade, plus, LoD Villa feels like it's designed with the idea that the player already experienced the original level, so its maze-like structure in LoD would probably just seem even worse if you didn't play the original. There is also the tower-lava level, the concept of climbing that tower was really cool in the og; but in LoD all the action takes place around it and you don't even get in the tower except for a secret at the top.
That final boss as Cornell, that is truly the rape zone.
>>10860054What they did to the Villa in LoD is only a problem if you play with Cornell, since Reinhardt/Carrie keep it just like the original. Agree that LoD assumes you're already familiar with the original, but even all the annoying padding only makes it needlessly convoluted. For the most part, I prefer most of the redesigned stages in LoD, particularly Reinhardt's towers. Tower of Execution looked very impressive in the original, but the slowdown was severe and the LoD version has far more interesting level design.
>>10858637Is it time for the weekly Uoh After Maria Thread?
>>10860571Malus ain't a kid, he's fucking Dracula !
>>10856596Love this game. Great find.
>>10856596GIWTWM
>>10862234The wolf or the skeleton?
>>10856625It's a variation thereof. Most games that use "The Konami Code" actually use variations rather than the original version.
>>10862329I love how in their first SNES game, entering the original NES version of the Konami Code causes your ship to self-destruct, you have to use the L and R buttons in place of left and right.
I already knew about this code. I used it all the time when I was a kid
>>10856625>>10856645This.
>>10862358You mean Gradius III.
>>10862358>>10863791That game gave me Night Mayors.
>>10860054You can quick dodge those water explosions.
>>10856625>>10856645My deepest sympathies for the struggles you must go through due to your disability.
>>10862329Behold, I have brought you a variation of the konami code!
I recently found out that this game is not a sequel, but rather a director's cut of the first game.
>>10857379What a jaunty werewolfI swear I’ve never heard of this castlevania ever
>>10866769The PSX Castlevanias were much more popular at the time, and the game had a lot of jank. And while not retro, he was also one of the playable characters in Castlevania Judgement.
>>10866769it came out about 9 months after CV64 and sold like dog shit, I want to say it was a blockbuster exclusive that's why it's one of the rarest 64 games and almost impossible to find CIB.It also has the dubious distinction of being one of the games famously voided out of canon when Iga made his timeline to remove the games he didn't make
>>10857379they should have made it so he can jump twice as high and had increased agility because of being a werewolf. faster running speed too.
>>10866990There is no canon except what the games themselves make. Iga doesn’t work for Konami.
>>10856596So is it true that legacy of Darkness contains the original Castlevania 64 within it?
>>10856661They should have just did the Konami code, as this anon posted.
>>10867102Yes, though a lot of the 64 campaign got hit with graphical, audio, and gameplay nerfs.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wRrJQiYR5Gw10/10
>>10867016He does run faster and jump better
>>10866990Ya I never heard about this or saw it at the time.
>>10867102sort of. It's modified enough that it's still worth playing CV64 in addition to LoD.
>>10867102With a lot of changes yes, and some additions/removals
>>10867116Nothing about the gameplay is nerfed, it's improved if anything. Didn't notice any hits in the audio or graphics either.
>>10868318There is at least one thing that's nerfed, when carrying the nitro the last room which had 2 bike skeletons is now empty in LoD
>>10868319another one busted
>>10868319That is far, though I wouldn't exactly call it a gameplay neft per se. They probably changed it in response to 64's feedback.
It's a shame how the fourth protagonist (who would've been based on Ash Williams) never saw the light of day. I'd love to see him in a game someday.
>>10867116The only nerf I can think of are the visual effects in the tower of duels.
Narcissa holds the world record for this game.
>>10858637Nope, canonically she's a prodigy that unlocks her potential after Richter saves her.
>>10870858I thought the story is that Shaft unlocks her potential so that she can be turned into one of Dracula's servants, but Richter saves her before the brainwashing can be put in and she now uses that power against Dracula instead.
>>10857379>that cheese strat where you trick the enemy wolf into killing itselfkek
>>10866769It's basically the directors cut for CV64
>>10868319Man, lots of bittersweet childhood memories of struggling with that nitro challenge.>take one hit and it's GAME OVER lol
>>10868319If that happened to me I'd be rattled
>>10870239Good for him.>captcha: mtran
>>10872582
>>10860714>Is it time for the weekly Uoh After Maria Thread?Nah, she has flat breasts, short legs and a flat butt too, so meh.The one who deserves more attention, more fanarts and more fans is Laura, she has the perfect size of breasts, long legs and a big butt too.
"Konami Code" has lost all meaning.
>>10860714Haven't been on here in like half a year. Has there been any progress on that Rondo ROM hack?
>>10873061The code is still up up down down left right left right [action button] [action button] [confirmation button] though, it just has the directional inputs doubled. You saying that doesn't count is like saying the Gradius 3 power up code doesn't count because it uses the shoulder buttons instead of the d-pad.
>>10856647Scandelous sinner.
>>10874132Nope, HaremOutfitAnon disappeared.
>>10874390it's over...
>The PSX Castlevanias were much more popular at the timeThats not true, symphony didn't get popular until later on and chronicles came out way too late, don't think may people cared.
>>10856596cool but thats not the konami code, anyway i unlocked everything in that game last halloween so i dont need the code
>>10856787its pretty fun
>>10866990fuck iga, that game is canon for me
>>10858637weak? she can summon a fucking dragon
>>10860054i love the intro level of this game, going on a boat and then the boat sinking and fighting that snake at the bridge
>>10860325you have to hit his projectiles perfectly or he destroys your anus, i love how the final bosses look though
>>10862358fucking gradius 3, i love that game
>>10866769technically cornell's story is a prequel to reinhart's story
