For Game of Life?
>>
>>10868941
"DX Jinsei" technically, while there are differences it's effectively japanese game of life. For example in Life you start in early adulthood whereas in Jinsei you start as a toddler and have to get through school first.

Doesn't make sense to have a 4x3 square screen housed inside that protruding circle. It should be more like the Gameboy or even the Gameboy Advance. PSP got the design right.

Yeah all 2 FPSes on the platform!
>>
>>10869157
Im so fucking annoyed that the only way to get AC and video out with these at the same time is with a stupid expensive official charging dock or an even rarer 3rd party cable. So gay they had to follow phone trends when the psp 3000 and 2000 did it perfectly with two separate ports.

Who lost the 5th gen? There are barely any FPSes on the platform, you retarded child.

The N64 controller is the worst controller in gaming history and Goldeneye still turned out to be the greatest 5gen FPS. Gen 5 really wasn’t a good year for FPS anyway outside of the Saturn. Place my salty balls on your tongue, zoomy.

You have never used an actually bad controller
>>
>>10869417
Nah the n64 controller was fine to me the only problem I had is that a lot of games were designed to fuck the joystick and once that joy stick became loose well you'd either had to buy a new controller. Or take it to a shop to get the joy stick replaced. Games like Mario party were known for destroying joysticks like it was made out of toilet paper.

>>

Not even that. If they really wanted to make their own, they could have likely 3D printed a shell. Hell, if they really liked that controller, they could have copied the dimensions and provided them for others to create duplicate shells to make their own.

I have a PSP Go with component cables and honestly I don't think the dock is worth it. Battery doesn't drain that fast, as long as it's a new one it'll hold for long enough. The real issue is that the PSP Go is a piece of shit to actually hold and play compared to the normal PSPs.
>>
>>10871832
I thought it was alright, but I prefer the older models. The reason I got one was for the PS3 controller compatibility. I just wanted an original hardware, consolized set-up, which I could kinda get with the 3000, but I honestly dont like using it that much as a controller and the video-out cable is too short. I guess I will give it a shot with just the battery until some random splitter cable gets released by one of these modern accessory companies, if ever.

It's funny you say that because I got the PSP Go for the exact same setup. I wanted to hook it up for livestreaming and capturing PSP games with and it did work pretty well in that regard. But as you can see in the picture I also have a PSTV which, once you hack it, does everything the PSP Go is capable of when docked but better in every way while being capable of even more.

I have a TV also, but I never used it (or a normal vita) for PSP games. How do they handle it, via emulation, or does it have native PSP game support? Like, can you just drop a ripped PSP game to a hacked TV/Vita and it will recognize and play it or does it need a specific PSP software on it first before it recognizes the files?
>>
>>10871163
yeah. it is rare, it is something you cant get via conventional means. thats exactly what 'rare' means.

It's half and half, Vita has a MIPS CPU so it'll run the CPU and allocate RAM natively but everything else is emulated or done through wrappers like the firmware, wlan, memory stick etc.
As far as how the games look and run though they're practically 1:1. I can even play rhythm games just fine on it without any timing issues (outside of what is inherently wrong with the dualshock 3 and 4 controllers). Only difference is that the PSP games are scaled up at 2x integer for the Vita, which happens to use exactly double the PSP resolution. You couldn't tell that pic related was on Vita if not for the resolution information. Also keep in mind that when you use the display out on a PSP it's either 480i or 480p using composite/component, but a hacked PSTV supports 480p, 720p, and 1080i with more options as to how the games are scaled out.

>can you just drop a ripped PSP game to a hacked TV/Vita and it will recognize and play it or does it need a specific PSP software on it first
There's a guide for it but basically you just need Adrenaline, which will let you boot into the PSP firmware that the Vita uses for emulation and access games. From there you can just slap the PSP isos into the correct folder and they'll load in just fine.

I recommend giving it a try either way. PSTV is now my preferred way to play PSP games and I haven't touched an actual PSP or even PPSSPP ever since. The homebrew you want to install is:
>Adrenaline
>Sharpscale (Only for PSTV, gives you a bunch of display options so it looks nicer)
>Adrenaline Bubble Manager (Basically you select your PSP iso and it'll create a Vita game bubble that acts as a shortcut to launch it from the Vita home screen, that way you don't need to boot directly into Adrenaline every time)
There's also some plugins for automapping the right stick to whatever controls the camera in a bunch of PSP games, but I forget what they're called.

Speaking PSP: Does anyone know why Megaman Legends slows down in the Apple Market?
>>
>>10872481
There are something like 2,000 cans spawned on the same coordinate behind the bakery, and it slows the otherwise simple area down significantly. Probably an oversight regarding the event object for kicking the can into the bakery, which still works just fine.

Thanks!
>>
>>10872352
Neat. I think I may still try out my PSP Go since I finally got one recently, but I will definitely try this with my TV as well. I remember a few years ago I tried doing the one custom firmware on it before that let you access non compatible Vita games, but you had to do some email method for it to install and it wasnt connecting for me so I put it to the side, but maybe the set-up has been simplified since then.
