Also wtf is this about it being renamed? I clearly remember it was called Tortuga here, I had a boxed version. Maybe the problem was only in Germany?

Pirates was to cartoonish for me. Tortuga was a little more mature.

they all play the same. DOS version has better grafix, but mouse control is jank as hell and towns are pointlessly large. the SNES version is the one generally recommended because it plays smoother.
