Why did every FPS released in the mid 2000's want to be the logcutter (Halo killer?)
>>10874358don't give a shit about the game, looked like trash, but the novelization is pretty good if you're a 40k fan.
>>10874358Rented this game back then because I thought the cover was cool, turned out I didn't like it. Also tried the online and remember like 2 people playing.
How is Fire Warrior a "Halo killer"? 40K is older than Halo. So, nobody's ever allowed to make sci-fi FPS game because Halo exists? You know Halo was very derivative of Unreal, Quake, Doom right? They're all sci-fi games.
>>10874358>want to be the logcutterIs that a euphamism for a butthole?
The better question is why couldn't any of them competently imitate halo?
>>10874513Its called that 'cause the halo games were the new hotness at the time dominating the console fps discussions, and everyone wanted a piece of that pie. So the marketing chimps did what they do best, claim their game is better. Marketing was more juvenile back then
>>10874771Halos physics and sandbox engine was next level. Only source engine topped in later in 2004
