The analog stick's durability sucks.
I honestly love how the buttons feel.Yeah the stick wears down but believe it or not even worn out the stick is very precise. I prefer to play Sin and Punishment with a real N64 stick rather than an xbox or gamecube or ps one.

>>10884910Yeah. When I got my N64 out again at some point my joystick was absolutely destroyed. It could barely be used for anything but the slowest Mario. That was my yellow controller that I always hogged as a kid (it was mine) and it was the only broken one. The one that my sister and visiting friends used was almost pristine. Conclusion: N64 joystick can't take actual use

The joystick is amazing and is the closest thing we have had to mouse accuracy.
>>10884886It's super important for certain games though. The uniqueness of the N64 controller and the games they designed around it are part of what makes it special. Turok for example used the stick for the bow weapon, I believe, and the middle trigger (z button) on the back is in just the right place to really feel like a gun.

Still have my launch day controller and it's a little rough, but it doesn't have a dead zone. Still tight as a drum in the middle.
